Hello,
thank you very much for your feedback.
Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce this bug. Could you please provide me with more info on how to repro this?
Are you using any mod? Does this happen with every backpack or you have to have a specific backpack equipped? Are you using the Aim Deadzone option?
A more specific description and repro steps would help us a lot to find the bug and fix it.
Thank you
Please upload your files in following ticket: #0027512
Closed because this ticket is a duplicate.
It's fixed in Steam dev branch and in RC branch. Could you please try it? Thank you.
I had the same issue and was able to resolved it by changing the mission title (just change a single letter) when updating the mission.
Sorry for the duplicate.
Additional explanation of what nucu says: changing mission name in Steam, not name in editor will make it uploadeable.
Don't worry about he steam link itself, will be the same, you won't lose your stats, subscribers etc..
Hello,
thank you for the feedback. We will look into this.
This is a design decision, the z will always be z of the ground for convenience. From BIKI page:
"Return Value:
Array - format [x,y,z], where z is land surface in format PositionAGL"
Same with getRelPos. When over water it will return negative z. Makes it easier to calculate an offset if needed.
One other reason is that BIS_fnc_relPos z is treated as AGL even if you supply different format, and as a result the new position may not be exactly horizontally away from origin anyway.
Hmmm, I guess I can see why that is generally the most useful return, as ground level is most useful most of the time.
I can use other methods to achieve a true horz offset.
I know for sure that RHS variants of the GAZ are not all spawnable with crew as I'm pretty sure the Virtual Garage skin changing has not been applied. I'm also pretty confident that some versions of the Humvee's are also not in the crewed section. It's not only RHS however, various mods which add new factions do not create crewed versions.
Could it not be an Eden option to put the 'Empty' category back in from the 2d Editor in the original messy list? With the new search bar it would make finding them even easier.
Could you please let us know which RHS vehicles are suffering from this?
When I check the mod, I can't find any vehicle which would appear only under empty side.
While crewed vehicles are neatly sorted by factions, their empty variants are all in one long (and messy) category, because faction filtering is missing there. Isn't it possible you're confused by this? This is actually one of the reasons why we decided to to list empty vehicles separately in the Eden Editor.
Hello,
we are sorry for the trouble you are having with the game.
This error is very generic. It may be caused by many issues, such as a hardware malfunction, a virus in the computer, but also an error in the game itself. Possible solutions:
-Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
-Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
-Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
-Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
-Re-install DirectX.
-Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function).
-Run a Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files.
Should none of this help, please send us more crashdumps, preferably for crash that happens when no mods are running (also make sure to try to start a mission that does not require mods).
Thank you
Thanks for the quick reply. It worked out for me.
This is because array is passed by reference. You need to make a copy using +.
player setVariable ["Test1", +thisList, true];
^^^^ should do the trick.
Hello,
thank you for your feedback. Could you please try to switch to the RC version of the game and see whether this issue is still present?
Thank you
Thank you, this has been resolved (I tested on today's production release version).
:D
Hello,
it looks like the crash dumps were not created (we need rpt + bidmp + mdmp files). It could be that your game actually did not crash or it crashed and was killed off (via task manager) too quickly for crashdumps to create.
Next time it freezes, please try to wait a minute or two so the dumps have time to create. If there are no crashdumps after then, we'll try to find another solution.
Thank you
I have compressed all the .rpt files from the last crash. Thanks for looking into this... -Vaughn and Zachary
Please attach all your rpt-files (especially that one after the last crash) to your ticket.
You can find them here: C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
Hello amooei
There is a simple solution for using the stable and development branch without downloading large files everytime you want to switch.
You can download "Arma 3 Tools" (Steam->Library->Tools).
Open "Arma 3 Tools" and open the "Game Updater".
With the "Game Updater" you can easily download the latest development branch in a separate location without overwriting the stable branch.
Best regards
@Koala thanks for clarification.
@razazel I love to provide feedback and did a lot before, but switching from stable to dev and to stable version again cost lot of internet bandwidth and as my internet connection is metered one, it's a little not so interesting for me.
anyway thanks for your support and hardwork, hope see much better performance in coming update.
Thanks @Koala here is it:
GPU=AMD HD7770 (latest driver)
CPU=Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
RAM= 8G
I play it on vanilla, no mod or any modifying app.
I verified it twice with no result of any files problem.
My hdd fragmentation is not so high as I analyzed it.
Thanks @razazel but I prefer to wait for next update.
Yes, I get that you prefer the Stable version, however, confirmation that you are no longer experiencing the issue on the Steam Dev version would help us to find out if we are heading the right direction.
Steam Dev version will eventually become the next Stable version and feedback from is important.
It is however of course really only up to you :) Hopefully you won't have to experience this problem anymore once the update is out.
Hello,
we are sorry for the trouble you are having with the game. A lot has been done to improve the performance during past few weeks. Could you please try to switch to Steam Dev and see if the problem is still present?
You can find how to change to Steam Dev here:

Thank you very much
Hello, low FPS may result of several causes.
Please provide us with more informations.
-what are your pc specifications (GPU, CPU, RAM)?
-have you installed the latest GPU drivers?
-do you use any modifications for Arma 3?
-have you verified the integrity of your game cache?
-have you defragged your gaming hdd?
Hello,
from the error I'd say that there is a mismatch between Launcher files, as it is trying to load a part of a program that was removed in this or some previous version.
I'd suggest to you to:
Have you already tried to check the integrity of the game cache (Steam->Library->Arma 3->Properties->Local Files->verify the integrity of game cache)?
If the launcher still crashes, try following step:
-uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version)
-restart your computer (!) and install the package again - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 (do not use the Repair function).
is this the crashdump?
Yes, these are the right files, but:
As far as I can see you changed the description at the same moment I created my first comment (you mentioned later that you use modifications).
The developers of Arma 3 are not responsible for problems arising from modifications (CUP, RHS and so on). Only the official content is supported.
A little advice: Try to only use the recommended modifications for the missions and deactivate all the other not mentioned mods. Maybe that should help.
More mods may cause more problems.
Hello, the developers need more informations about your issue. A screenshot alone isn't enough.
Please provide them the latest crashdump (.rpt) files after your game crashed. You can find them in these locations:

I have done what you said and uploaded the 2nd report
Hello, please use the search function the next time. There are several tickets which describes the same problem.
I closed your ticket (duplicate).
Please take a look into those attached tickets (relationships).
what mission and server? Your report is very vague.
Seems like this is more of a scripting issue for the forum discussion. Going to resolve then.
I was using some public variables and the error was they weren't containing a number, even if I thought they were...
why isn't x = 0.5 a number and _x = 0.5 is?
Both are numbers:
x = 123; typeName x
-> "SCALAR"
_x = 123; typeName _x
-> "SCALAR"
Maybe your public variables didn't arive when you executed ctrlSetPosition?
You should probably make a repro mission.
You have to execute:
image ctrlCommit 0;
Otherwise the new position won't be commited
Are you using public variables or local variables? do you have showscripterrors turned on?
Upvoted, pretty important.
Upvoted, please fix that.
According to the ticket author the issue got resolved.
confirmed this is also happening in object init boxes
