Hello,
you have some misplaced and obsolete files in your Arma 3 installation. You will have to delete them to make Launcher work again.

These files are not meant to be directly in the game installation folder, they are supposed to be in the Launcher sub-folder, where they are automatically updated:

  • config.bin
  • Config.json
  • log4net.dll
  • log4net.txt
  • logger.xml
  • msvcp120.dll
  • msvcr120.dll
  • notifyicon-wpf.txt
  • protobuf-net.dll
  • protobuf-net.txt

After that run verify the integrity of game cache through Steam to ensure that all other files are up to date.

You have to open the folder with the game in Windows Explorer, it's the this one: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3

If you find any of the files and folder that I've listed above in that folder, you have to delete them. They don't belong there and that prevents Launcher from running.

After you do that let steam check all files:

  1. Open Steam;
  2. From the Library, right-click on Arma 3 and select Properties from the menu;
  3. On the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button;
  4. Steam will verify the game's files and re-download corrupted or missing ones.

addMagazineTurret command will be extended to take additional argument with ammo count, this is in the works since last year. However removeMagazineAmmoCount is not going to work as you suggested, as this will most definitely require magazine id to identify the specific magazine, since more than one magazine can have the same amount of ammo.

I don't care if more than one magazine can have the same amount of ammo, I just want to remove <b>at least one</b> of the magazines that contain a specific quantity of ammo (e.g. the youngest one / highest ID if there are many of them)

Let me explain. Let's say I have a vanilla static weapon with 3 full magazines containing 500 ammo. With my persistence system, saved data for this static weapon shows that in the previous session, there were 2 magazines left, each with 300 and 400 ammo. Now, I want to restore those magazines with their specific ammo count, but I would like to keep the static weapon's max resupply capability at 3 mags with 500 ammo. With those commands implemented, here's what I'd do:

And there ya go, now you have one 300-ammo mag, one 400-ammo mag, and one empty mag. So, if you bring an ammo truck near it, it will resupply it to the default 3 mags with 500 ammo. All is good, no id needed. Simple, clean, and effective. In the end, it's just about flexibility.

Hi Razazel
I have uploaded a mission.sqm for you to check out. I placed a rifleman as player to monitor whats happening. Jet Alpha 1-2 is supposed to taxi to a Hanger and then stop in front of it. But it gets "confused" and taxies to RW 04R, where it takes off and start to circle the base.
Jet Alpha 1-3 is starting in front of a hanger and is supposed to taxi to the runway. But it just goes cross country and then hits a hanger on its way.

Another thing I noticed was that a at first placed Alpha 1-2 at
Position X:14443.912 Y:16137.444 Z:0
Rotation X:0.077 Y:359.933 Z:42.509

What Alpha 1-2 then did was that it turned right and drove cross country to RW04R. I really dont know why, because the waypoints instructed it to move down 04L, turn left and taxi to a hanger and stop.

we're sorry for the inconvenience. This issue is caused by the Windows update KB3078601 and there is nothing we can do to prevent the issue at this time. You can either uninstall the update or wait for Microsoft to release a fixed version of the update.

this is not a bug or issue, this was intentional.

When you run down the hill you too need to spend your stamina too as you need to decrease your momentum so you do not go tumbling down the hill.

Im not sure but i think its because at the moment when you go up or down the hill you are walking very slow and sometimes even slow enough to regenerate stamina.

The 3 files are corrupted, but beware they are in a different folder that DW shows (there are two different copies of those files on your PC).

All the files belongs to DirectX, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64' folder and delete these 3 files: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\D3DCOMPILER_43.DLL C:\windows\SysWOW64\X3DAUDIO1_7.DLL C:\windows\SysWOW64\XAPOFX1_5.DLL
  2. Go to 'C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 3\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010' and run the DxSetup.exe from there.
  3. After the setup finishes, check whether those 3 files were restore.
  4. If they were not, because the setup didn't repaired them, the download the archive from arma.jiripolasek.com/files/Juggernog_DxFiles.zip , I've uploaded those 3 files in there. Or you can find them and extract them from *.cab files that are included with the DirectX setup.

you're missing 5 DirectX libraries from the folder "C:\Windows\SysWOW64":

  • D3DCOMPILER_43.DLL
  • D3DX10_43.DLL
  • D3DX11_43.DLL
  • X3DAUDIO1_7.DLL
  • XAPOFX1_5.DLL

Please run the DirectX installer to install or restore the files. It's installer can be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010.
If that doesn't help, you can get them from the same folder (SysWOW64) on another computer (please note that there are more files with the same in different folder, but they contain a different version) or you can run the installer from http://arma.jiripolasek.com/files/DirectX_Fix_For_Arma3.exe

  1. Open Dependency Walker.
  2. Click on File/Open and select Arma3.exe (should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\arma3.exe on your PC).
  3. Click on File/Save and save the report to file Arma3.dwi on your desktop.
  4. Compress that file into ZIP archive.
  5. Upload that archive here.

If any of those solutions doesn't help, then please download Microsoft Dependency Walker (x86 version) http://www.dependencywalker.com/depends22_x86.zip and open Arma3.exe with it, then save the report from Dependency Walker into DWI file, compress it into a ZIP or RAR and upload it here. We'll identify the corrupted file for you.

No need to do that, we have contacts directly on their engineers :).
From their perspective it works as designed, although they are still improving it. Six months ago, we've dismissed the idea of symlinking as too dangerous, and now we're considering releasing it to public.

Unfortunately the best result is that Steam's going to re-download the data back into those folders; the worse results includes that Steam will force you to wait until it does that and won't allow you to play, or that it gets stuck in the update loop. It the past those worst results were more probable, but Valve improved the client regarding this, but the client behavior in such situation is still undefined.

Ultimately we'll offer (the most likely) an option to link the mods directly to Steam Workshop cache, but we want to make the best effort to ensure that Steam can recover when from people meddling with those files even when they will be instructed not to do so.

Don't delete those files, it will eventually corrupt the data needed by the launcher to properly detector mods. Once the issue appears you have to check the data integrity and redownload all mods. Trust me, I've been there.

we know about this but those files are not ours to manage, not they can't be safely deleted or modified without compromising functionality of Steam client.

We're trying to find a safe way to remove the data redundancy, but at the moment there is no magic solution for this, all of them have some severe disadvantage (that includes also the most famous symbolic link/mklink hack).

I'm sorry I'm not sure what you mean by the first sentence. If I delete the mods from the steamapps/workshop/content/107410 folder after the mod is transferred to the Arma 3 folder everything seems to be working fine. Is there a reason why this can't be done automatically?

we're sorry for the inconvenience. This issue is caused by the Windows update KB3078601 and there is nothing we can do to prevent the issue at this time. You can either uninstall the update or wait for Microsoft to release a fixed version of the update.

would you mind uploading a video of this issue (preferably on YouTube).

It is important to keep in mind that squad will try to hold the position and will seek only cover in it's close vicinity.

If I use "move there" command on an A.I. group they don't find a cover when they accomplished it. In this case they should looking for cover, but they don't, they stand in middle of cross way without find a cover, even if there are enemies in the area. I'll recording a video in this days...

I took my time and waited five seconds in the rescue boat (and in all the other boats; excepting the motorboat) and wasn't able to reproduce that issue. I was able to swim. It seems, that the problem only occurs with the motorboat and in your case with all the other boats in combination with the wasteland multiplayer modification. But that seems a mod related problem.

The bug only happens when you are on the boat "Motor Boat".

In Rescue Boat, Speedboat Minigun and Assault Boat, the bug does not happen.

The Speedboat Minigun has a small floating bug when ejecting the boat when it is positioned on Gunner.

Again I tested the issue after your latest videos.

I was able to reproduce the problem at least for the speedboat too.

It seems that it needs a certain time for the issue to appear for the Speedboat.

But I can tell that this issue has nothing to do with the vehicle freelook option (mine is disabled).

Я говорю тебе американская ты морда, что персонаж не плавает из за пистолета.
Когда я жду 5 секунд, камера отдаляется и если выйти с лодки (с любой лодки) плавать нельзя.
Как можно быть таким тупым, что не понять этого на видео?
Как только я убираю пистолет в лодку, спокойно могу плавать.
Значит дело в пистолете, исправьте его.

Мне уже все равно на ваши исправления, вы мудаки, которые не видят проблему на видео.
В реальности дать тебе пистолет и запретить тебе плавать, пока ты его не уберешь в лодку.
