Thanks Razazel.
I managed to avoid this bug with your help. Below are the steps I took:
I guess I'm happy for this issue to be closed.
Thanks again for your help.
Try to run verification of the game cache from Steam client, it should also verify all the mods (except the legacy ones).
I've just downloaded 3.6 Gbyte, guess something was really awry. Issue is solved now. Thanks for your incredible support, especially at that time of day !!
Wilco
I'm glad to be of service.
Those file are being downloaded on my machine just fine: http://imgur.com/4qWUcEo
By any chance you didn't cleared your Steam Workshop cache, did you?
None of them apparently, files are still missing on my end.
I can see that the files are there. Could you tell me which of updates published them correctly?
. Update: 7 Dec @ 8:38pm
Interesting, I've just deleted all files and redownloaded them. Same issue.
Rest is missing.
Cleared my cache ? Maybe by accident, but not intentionally.

Is there any way to turn on logs for the publisher?
Thank you. The publisher logs are stored together with other Arma 3 Tools logs. (...Steam Library\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Tools\Logs)
Oh okay, I didn't know that, I was looking in appData....Publisher
I uploaded all the log files I have.
Hello,
could anyone else very that the files are really missing? Steam may work differently on the machine where the mod was uploaded. If you don't have any logs (either Publisher logs or Steam logs), could you at least share the link to the mod, so we can ask Valve to investigate?
Yeah. Im getting the same problem on devbranch. - I've got no clue whats going on...
When the issue occurs FPS drop from their normal level to 1 to 5 within a few seconds. They then stay on that low level whatever you do (exiting the mission, exiting the editor, restarting the mission...). The only remedy is ending A3 itself. After a restart of A3 it works ok until the issue comes up again after a few minutes of playing.
Still present with todays build.
Maybe something is wrong with memory allocation: In task manager I observed that A3 is producing _lots_ of page faults, though there is still plenty of RAM left.
Adam: Before I encountered this problem I suffered from 0026881.
That issue seems to be resolved by yesterdays build, where I first encountered the FPS drop.
As a software developer I would first check, whether the fix for 0026881 or something in that area may have introduced a regression.
(Unless of course I simply do not encounter the crashes anymore because the FPS drop now kicks in before the crash can happen ;-) )
As far as I can say it seems to happen in every mission I play. I just played with build 133700, and it happened the first time I played after about 10 minutes in the game.
It seems to happen each time you play provided you take your time to finish the mission.
I have no clue what actually triggers the issue. It does not seem to be related directly to certain player interactions or events.
I always play my own simple scenarios (i.e. without much scripting) in the 2D editor.

Hello, could you please attach repro steps? Maybe add mission where the issue is happening. Thank you.
Could you please try reproducing the issue without mods? Thanks.
Please report issues in english. Thank you.
Hi and thanks for answering :)
No, I'm running windows 7. Do I have to run it with windows 10 ?
HELP !!!! ? ??
help ! I wanna play
Are you running Windows 10?
HELP ANYONE ?
@crs24 - It's hit or miss. I was able to play an entire match on Stratis Wasteland with SLI on. Today, my game crashed at the game's menu with SLI on. @Adamn This version of windows 10 was a fresh install. What sort of libraries would I be looking to repair?
Did you try joining and downloading the mission file with sli off, then if successful rejoining with sli on after the file is downloaded, or does it crash with sli on regardless of the file already being downloaded?
Hello, You may encounter issues after upgrading to Windows 10 from another version of Windows. Doing a fully clean install of Windows 10 (or upgrade with loss of data - carefully back-up first please!) can resolve such issues. Some issues can be resolved by repairing common libraries after the upgrade.
Well obviously that's what we've all being doing since forever, but this isn't optimal and ends up in vehicles exploding. It's possible with the current createVehicle command to safely spawn a vehicle... inside the map, but not outside, which would be the best place to initially spawn them so no players see it happening. Why is it BIS seem to stray away from the obvious better idea? It would be so much better to have a dedicated native command that would let us spawn objects/vehicles exactly where we want them from the get go. Instead we have to faff about spawning it safely, then moving it etc... which all results in more cpu cycles.
Have you tried spawning object in away location, then setting desired object orientation there before moving it to the exact position?
Currently, I have to do almost 80 lines just to be (97%) sure a vehicle does not explode. Its easier for the average modder and in the end better for the reputation of Arma. People think exploding things is a feature of Arma. They blame you for this. And to be honest: Setting a world matrix is not as that hard.
Just do it!
Should have been this way all along, IMO
After changing the description.ext parameter:
respawnOnStart = 1;
to
respawnOnStart = 0;
the problem was resolved.
Also noticed that the parameter:
respawnTemplates[] = {"MenuPosition"};
only worked for side WEST and not for EAST, CIVILIAN, or GUER.
I had to add specific respawn templates for each side.
I am unable to reproduce the issue running with no mods. I have narrowed the mods down to 6. RHS:RU, RHS:US, CBA_A3, ACE3, MCC, AiA Terrain pack.
I take it back. Seemed to work but, nope...
Hello, could you please try reproducing the issue without mods? Thank you.
The issue is not dependent on switching sides just on re-entering from the lobby.
More rpt files uploaded.
Disabled the Steam overlay as per the Wiki suggestion.
https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Unusual_process_exit#0x00000001_.E2.80.93_UNABLE_TO_INIT_DXGI
Seems to have fixed it.
Could you please try reproducing the issue without using mods? Thanks.
I tried reproducing the issue without mods. The issue does not occur without mods. Still sad that I can't use additional mods in Pilgrimage but the problem is solved, i guess.
Thanks for your help.
you do realize that the only thing that changed was your patch right?? Everything worked fine.. And no, my drivers are up to date, my temps are all normal and I won't disable the steam overlay only because of this game..I've had enough with this patching madness..
Hello,
The game is unable to initialize a graphical subsystem. Possible solutions:
Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
Disable the Steam Overlay.
