@Dr Death, I'm afraid I don't follow.. are you saying the system should be as it is? I don't know about you, but your descriptions of damage never happen to me. Damage definitely should have an effect on performance, if you get an engine shot out, you should loose thrust from that side and enter a spiral/flameout state. I have never been one shotted by a missile, I also rarely take more than a couple of HMG bullets at a time, so for me at least, death by HMG is a slow process, where I take a bullet or two every strafing run, and eventually one bullet is the straw that breaks the camels back, and I spontaneously explode.
Please reread my ticket, your comment makes it appear to me that you did not read it carefully.
i am not talking about the damage model, i am talking about the damage warning.
Some of the issues are mentioned in repro missions in http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=18324. The issues should be improved a bit in the next Dev Branch update. Otherwise, please, give us feedback about any specific spots, where the AI reliably crashes in http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=18324

I figured out the issue, and I don't think it's just north stratis that has this problem but it's still kind of wacky. If an AI is driving to a waypoint that is NOT on a road, it will make a beeline to that waypoint from its last waypoint. This can be fixed by placing a waypoint on the road where you wish for the vehicle to divert off the road. However, I have been in AI vehicles where they automatically calculate this themselves, no extra waypoint required. This still may need patching but it is certainly less urgent now.

For some reason, the AI bug of the truck crashing into a wall has returned. I believe this happens as a result of the AI having to start too many times in a short period of time (editing missions and re-starting every time I need to fix a bug) and it may be fixed with a restart of Arma, I don't know for sure. Regardless, the crash-into-walls-as-soon-as-it-starts-driving-in-an-area-with-buildings/walls-in-it glitch needs to be fixed.

Odd thing happened tonight. I tried a SP game, than hosted the LAN, and then tried to join a server via game spy, and it worked! But I could not repeat this and haven't been able to join anything again.
I have not previously tried connecting via Steam. When I hit connect in the server browser there, it takes me to the Arma 3 main menu, not directly to a game in progress. (Not sure what the expected behavior is)
I was able to join the one available MP server I found after switching to Development.

- Are you able to play single-player missions?
- Are you joining through Game-Spy or Steam server list?
- Are you able to host a multiplayer game (even on LAN)?
- Are you experiencing the same behaviour with Steam Dev version?

The game does not actually crash until I kill the process in the task manager. The altis map would otherwise stay on the screen indefinitely. I notice that my mouse cursor that is visible on the Altis map is the Window's cursor and changes shape based on the windows that were on the screen when I launched Arma.

it looks like the crash dumps were not created (we need rpt + bidmp + mdmp file). It could be that your game actually did not crash or it crashed and was killed off (via task manager) too quickly for crashdumps to create.
Next time it freezes, please try to wait a minute or two so the dumps have time to create. If there are no crashdumps after then, we'll try to find another solution.

its also important for having an AI foot patrol in a village or around a base
even in Relax mode they still run around as if they saw something and need to get there very fast
this looks and feels awful and should be addressed

Just redo the full mission right now (RESTART), on my current Steam Dev (1.16.123633) and all 64 grenades on a single vehicle don't detroy it. So it is STILL NOT fixed.

On current Steam Dev, I am able to destroy all three MRAPs and all the soldiers surrounding them and still have enough ammo to continue.
64 grenades on single Hunters vehice and still almost no damage, obviously this mean that the new resistance is now set far far much too much high !!!
Dev team, please adjust this !!!
To my humble view, I would say 10 grenades should do the job.
Yes, the vehicle resistances were changed and now it's impossible to destroy the three Hunters with just 64 grenades (assuming you haven't spent any on the infantry). The easiest fix would be to increase the amount of ammo the Hunter you have to steal has.

I searched for IR strobe and not grenade, didn't think of that for some reason.

I believe this was an issue in the main game before Zeus.
Just tested in editor IR= createvehicle ["NVG_TargetW",(getpos player),[],0,"NONE"]; does create and IR strobe at player's feet and deletevehicle IR removes the object and the flashing light source

Well, in that case vote up authentic pre-start systems checks and other fluff that just add extra actions without really adding anything to gameplay.
"Getting out" of the car action assumes you turned the engine off, just like taking off with a jet that you did all the pre-flight checks.

Do you always leave your engine running when you get out of your car? I don't, except in very specific situations.
It seems prudent to take the time and turn it off if you're not in a hurry. The default behavior is fine and the "engine off" still has a use. Many times when playing tank driver when not moving or in combat I turn the engine off so you can hear people talk on the radio/outside.
That's why u should click Engine OFF before exiting the vehicle

Firstly, "unuseful" isn't a word.
What you're suggesting would make "Get out" useless. "Engine off" is used when you either want to jump out ("Eject") of a moving vehicle and still turn the engine off or when you want to, for example, be silent while still staying in your vehicle.
