I agree that it is close to impossible to test and supply bug feedback when the most fundamental thing in a survival game is impossible to achieve when loot does not spawn and you die of starvation within 15 minutes.

Same on the AU servers, stayed in Novo and went through every building, shed, garage and so on for a complete server cycle. After the server restarted no loot only the stuff that was left on the ground from before the server restart.

Server's seem to be restarting regularly now, so at this stage this appears to be resolved as of the update last Friday.

Another player may have knock your character unconscious while you were logging out and took all your stuff, as your character remains for 30sec in the world after you logged out. This of course is only one possibility as I have seen this happen in live streams.

Happen to me as well, I have also noticed that when this happens the zombies don't take melee damage from the fire axe even with direct hit to the head.

A friend and I were playing on experimental 0.47 last night, we were at Stary Sobor and we both heard this sound like someone was emptying a sporter 22 clip like crazy just up the road a bit. The sound seemed to be stationary, as we moved our heads the sound of the gun fire was coming from the same direction, if we moved so it was only on the right side then did a 180 it was then only on the left side. We went to investigate but did not find anyone but the sound was still there.

I up vote this, I agree it is not possible to keep your fire axe raised and strafe jog around the zeds in 0.47 only slow walk. I have just tested this and if you double tap w while your fire axe is raised it will lower your axe and you will start to sprint, you have to stop before you can raise your axe again and then you can only slow walk. While this all happens you will get hit by the zeds as now it is more likely there will be more then one zed after your blood. I have reverted back to shooting the zeds as the fire axe is useless again like in 0.44 with this movement system if you don't want to get whack by the zeds.

I definitively up vote this, besides the ballistic weapons movement, the melee weapons movement now in 0.47 is to sluggish for zombie defense, I jog strafe around the zeds while introducing them to my pristine fire axe and never get hit unless there is desync, but now almost every time I get whacked by a zed and take damage to clothing and inventory items as I can no longer jog strafe around the zeds only walk, and not mention the number of zeds to defend against is higher now. I now have reverted back to shooting zeds which has now made the fire axe useless again like back in 0.44.

@Accolyte - An update to this issue on the current 0.47.124631 experimental build, I have just been playing for the past 7 hours and I can confirm that this is still not fixed. I was at Elektrozavodsk with some friends looting and was meet with an onslaught of zeds that took at least 4 to 5 swings with a pristine fire axe to kill even though the axe was going through the zeds head or chest, absolutely no chance of punching them, fists go right through their face and body, shooting is the only effective way to kill the zeds. Also now when zeds die they appear in the position they were killed to other players but run the rag doll animation on the local client of the player that killed the zed.

We tested the punching of players to render unconscious, but again the fists go through the body and head, although if you look down at the feet of the other player while punching it registers a hit on the players chest, so we tested this by aiming at a players chest it registers a punch to the head, this worked 100% of the time between all 4 of us, then we tested this on the zeds and was effective only about 50% of the time.

This should not be classed as a bug, IRL you can put anything in a first aid kit so it should be possible to do the same in-game.

The time of the server is displayed in 24 hour format on the server browser under the column Time, so if it displays 15:00 next to the server you want to connect to then that would be 3pm and on the current 0.44 build it is daytime until about 17:30 (5:30pm) give or take, so if you want to play on daytime servers make sure you connect to a server that has time parameters between 07:00(7am) to 17:30(5:30pm).

I will give a vote up, I too believe that DayZ should be a game for every player not just the KOS bandits that shot from behind or snipe and don't even loot your stuff, some players like myself and my clan Counter Bandit Unit [CBU] patrol the east coast helping new spawns with food, can openers and basic weapons for defense from zeds while removing KOS bandits, this is more satisfying then just terminating a players character for no reason. KOS is the real problem not so much the standard bandit that will hold you up for your stuff then let you go and not just score a frag for the bragging rights.

DayZ is pure brilliance, you can do and interact as you want. I have logged more than 300 hrs and yes I have plenty of ammo with M4, Mosin, shotgun, 1911, FNX and I have only re-spawned 7 times (died 6 times). I choose to play as a heavily armed player that patrols the coast helping other players survive by offering food, weapons, ammo and protection form KoS bandits and of course the highly intelligent ZEDS. DayZ is just perfect how it is because you can play it as you want and choose, also with the constant threat of being snuffed by some highly skilled and armed military commando or just the new spawned Bambi with a perfect right hook and lets not forget the camping sniper, it just wouldn't be the pure brilliance that makes DayZ perfect without all that loot.

@Accolyte – I know you posted this back in march, but I have just been testing this today in the current 0.44 stable branch build and found that it still happens as I placed a 300 round ammo box filled on the top row with 5.56 (150 rounds) and bottom row with ACP45 (200 rounds) into my jacket then persuaded a zed to BIT ME! After a few attempts the zed successfully ruined my jacked and the ammo box along with all the ammo, I then spit all the ammo down to discard only 5 rounds form each type leaving me with 145 rounds of 5.56 and 195 rounds of ACP45. Now in reality the physical force that the zed would have had to exert in order to damage pristine not rusted or degraded ammo would have surly killed my charter but only sustained a bleed that was easily patched with a bandage, so only damaging 10 rounds seems reasonable as ammo is made of metal and to ruin all 350 pristine rounds without killing my character would surely be unrealistic in my opinion. As for dying from being shot, falling or mauled by a zed then this should be a different level of damage to the ammo based on the amount of force that was applied. Just some feedback and suggestions, the game in general is pure brilliance.
