I agree on the spawn rate being too low. Not only does guillie deny you the use of a backpack - which should be a deterrent by itself, it now is completely impossible to find netting. Tad disappointed about this, was looking forward to getting a guillie on and stalking people. Instead, I'm just running along the coast fruitlessly.

still an issue in 0.44.123802 , happened to me yesterday on a hardcore server. Friend had a mosin and was only 20 or so meters away from me, fired twice at a zed, didn't hear a thing.
Funnily enough he could hear my gunshots very well when I fired.
I have the same problem. Character created in menu isn't used by the game, get a random character when spawning. When logging out (or crashing) and relogging I get a new character (spawn at coast)
I can confirm this. I and several friends have had this happen yesterday, everyone started complaining on teamspeak how they heard one guy talking, and all of a sudden everyone's client crashed.
Dean informed that the normal map isn't activated for buildings as of yet in his last stream. This might be the reason.
could possibly be a rabbit or another ambient noise. if so this is a known issue.
duplicate post? might be a rabbit, they are known to sound like zeds atm.

not a joke. I heard Dean say you can use duct tape to attach flashlights to weapons in his stream. But yea I think you need an RIS on your rifle to attach a flashlight to it.

afaik your character will try to put the weapon he has in hands in the inventory when going on a ladder. if there's no space it might disappear.
I think rocket himself had this in his stream and had to log out and back in to work around this problem
This issue is still present in the current dev build (29/08/2013). I had this happen several times yesterday, as well as the other people flying helicopters in the mission. Most of the issues happened when the helicopter landed, probably from people hitting the eject option shortly before touchdown.
confirmed, also this is the same for chemlights.
throw a chemlight next to a building, you'll see the entire interior light up.

Had a pistol 2v2 with friends yesterday. I wondered why I didn't get any hits. My friend said he got hits when he was aiming at the ground. Very strange indeed.

This also happens with items like medpacks. On one occasion I looted a body in MP that had 2 medpacks, I was able to take one, but the second one was not transfered to my gear. I dropped everything else from my inventory to check that I had the required space, so this was not the issue.
from what I have seen thus far this might be the "animation" that indicates something is hurting the player. I think the zone around exploded wrecks that initiates this animation is a bit too large and the player isn't actually hurt but still shows the animation.
I can confirm this.
in first person view, while prone, when you look down the sights of your main weapon you will see the crosshair dead centre while performing the roll. the camera doesn't change and there's no animation of the player's body visible.
This is not the case with a side arm, where the animation and camera changes correctly.
