I've talked to Jay Crowe and Pettka on Twitter and this should not be happening.
So apparently to fix this you have to unsubscribe from all workshop missions and then delete ugcmsgcache and ugs in steam files.
Tested again, it is when first starting any A3 Multiplayer
game that it crashes for me. Apologies for the confusion.
Yeah, why did they take that out of the game? It was very cool! I miss it a lot. #UPVOTE
I think it is more about the frequency at which we see them. Seeing 7 snakes after walking 100 meters is too much, I have to say.
I do agree, the modding community and the community in general are THE defining aspect of the game. I do have much respect for the developers and their hard work, I even say so many times in the letter. I also want to remind you that this is mainly a group of suggestions for a DLC, such as OA was for Arma 2. As for mission making, I just think that we shouldn't have to be limited to a small amount of content for factions. In Operation Arrowhead, I could make almost any mission I could think of. There were 10+ factions (some of them weren't even finished, but I don't mind), and so much content I could make infinite possibilities for a mission premise. I think people are taking what I'm saying here a bit too seriously. It is a critical bit of feedback, suggestions for DLCs, the game, etc. I am expressing my feelings on the way the game has gone and the direction it is taking, and saying that it is going the wrong direction with the brilliant engine and premise for a game they've created here. I am saying that I wish they'd change it to a game more like Arma 2, but I know that won't happen, so I suggest it for a DLC, where we should have more content. I remind everyone that this is a feedback tracker, a place where people can come on and state their feelings about the game, suggestions, feedback, requests, etc. BIS needs to know how their audience feels about the game they are making, so I don't hesitate to tell them how I feel.
Exactly. Especially for mission makers like me, we don't like having to make our audiences download mods for every little detail we want to add into the game. Don't let modding be an excuse for not having the right amount and type of content in the game
I appreciate the suggestion, but, in my opinion, why wait two years for a game, get it, and then just play the predecessor? I have been playing Arma 2, it just doesn't perform as well as Arma 3, and the editor is not nearly as easy to use. I tried the AIA mod, but it just doesn't appeal to me because the vehicle sounds don't work, people always have closed eyes, and so on. I want to be able to use all of the new features that Arma 3 presents. Really it is a fantastic game with great potential, but the devs are just being too cautious with it. Don't get me wrong, I love both games, just would rather play Arma 3 if it had more content and better immersion.
I have no current issues with performance, because usually the Arma I do is COOP with 4-10 players :)
Only thing is that the V-22 is bigger and used for more troops. No offense but this aircraft won't have much of a difference from the Blackhawk in game because it does not seat as many personnel. It does, however, have VTOL capability.
by hunter camo I am talking about insurgency-style camo from Arma 2, like hunters wear
Personally I wouldn't mind a simple port of the CZ-550 and original revolver. Man, having civilian weapons really broadens the scope of possible scenarios
Sir, I am completely on your side. Arma 2 did it perfectly. British colonies usually don't speak English anyway. The entire AAF is just off. They are somehow completely modernized with a population under 50,000. It just isn't realistic. +1 from me ;). They said this game would be authentic!
In a firefight, I don't want to be able to understand the enemy. It is more intimidating to hear someone shouting commands in another language, and more awesome. I just cannot stand the fact that the Altian locals all speak English.
I'm talking in addition to the Hunter, as an extra addon for missions. Respect your guys' opinion though!

In arma 2, the thunder sounds were so much better! Totally ruins the immersion of storms!
Absolutely. It's so stupid that they removed everything that explicitly related CSAT to Iran except for the languages. They changed their vehicle set to all Russian, removed the Iranian flag (from the uniforms AND even in the editor markers), that just ruined the game for me in a lot of ways.
I thought the game was supposed to be "authentic"? they totally have lived up to that with fantasy weapons, fantasy CSAT instead of Iran, no women, etc. My god, it's a great game but so lacking

If you go to the animation viewer you can see that there are two more variants of the walk with weapon lowered variation. They are just not implemented. COME ON BIS! The other thing is that the slung weapon animation (the current one) is unnaturally fast paced.
Would be so cool to see NVG's get nerfed, and get some NV scopes and whatnot, that can be used without a weapon.
Regular lasers would make the game so much more amazing. In the mean time, will somebody please work on a mod for this??
