I'm using a g633 Logitech headset and can confirm I have the same problem it only happens if I am in first person in a helicopter though it doesn't happen in planes or in vehicles other than helicopters in first and not in third person. I have also done some testing and when I unplug my headset the game works fine I have no FPS drops though I do not know if the audio troubles still persist as I have no audio device plugged in. The Logitech gaming software was still running at that time as well and the game audio was outputting to the audio jack in the back of my PC though I didn't have anything plugged into it. This is of course not a permanent solution but I hope that it gives the devs something to work with when trying to find the issue.

However, I have x64 linux system so I did:rm /path/to/arma3/steamclient.so ln -s /home/steam/steamcmd/linux64/steamclient.so /path/to/arma3/steamclient.so
Also confirming that it works, thanks. Just make sure to use the 'linux32/steamclient.so' version.
fixed it for me either.

Though you'd have to use the x86 version of steam afaik. Arma doesn't speak to the x64 steamclient
My script kept replacing the steamclient.so when I restarted by doing another update :( So now I do the ln in the shellscript before launch but after version check. All is good now, thanks :)
it works! thank you a lot

To expand, the objectIsSimple attribute also cannot be set from script commands.

It seams related to STRG+M, if you press the default GPS open button and then open the MFDs it blocked addactions...
This is the same problem described here : https://feedback.bistudio.com/T124761
I have the same problem either
Same error here since 1.70.
same problem
This annoying and partially mission breaking bug isn't necessarily related to the "SAFE" behaviour (rather to "COMBAT") but definitely to the unitpos "UP" stance.
question, still issue with 1.70 ?

self explanatory.
So Arma wants to be a milsim why not use the original loadout variants.
Black Wasp has a internal weapon bay where such things are possible
And last Putting bombs on the outer wings would make the plane pretty hard to manover when dropping one of them

The same here
And there it is again.. Another non-minor issue that was known well before release and it still got released and now we are doomed till BI does something.
same with debian 8 as well
Debian 8 same issue here
Please change topic title. This is not RC already, this is release.
Confirm the same on openSuse Leap 42.2 x64
I can confirm the issue on a freshly installed Arma 3 Linux server and an existing server with and without mods.
still having this problem on 64bit with the latest arma 3 jets update. if it helps im using gamescom 780 7.1 headphones and amd fx-6300 cpu.
This is still an issue after 1.70 release today.
It seems like Linux dedicated servers are not working at all.
Also take a look at https://feedback.bistudio.com/T124736 for another possible approach on how BI could tackle this issue!
As of recently, it seems that the issue only affects trees.
1st Casue Arma 3 wants to be a MilSim!
2nd It was in and was remove again, for what reason?
3rd The Black-Wasp-Jet can carry 8 GBU12 in total and the Wipeout only 4? WTF? Total unrealistic.

Why dont you use scripts for that? There are maybe reasons like balancing. With scripts you can do what ever you want
Here's a post from one server experiencing the issue that has a touch of detail.
cmon BI, fix this pls...
I can confirm this issue, resulted in my missions working fine on a local server but not on a dedicated.
Nobody have a idea for this problem ?
Same hare, with gtx 1060 6gb, MacOS X Sierra 10.12.4, with nvidia web driver 378.05.05.05f02.
one day to go, pls fix
Seeing you're probably about to work on this ticket, I'd like to make an additional request for OUTSIDE filling. This is very helpful if you want to mark an AO and have everything outside the polygon filled.
Still having the main problem, the stuttering in 64-bit only, and in 7.1 and 5.1 surround sound. Only fix is changing to 32-bit. Hope this problem gets fixed eventually.
Just realised that this problem is the same as referenced here : https://feedback.bistudio.com/T122385, I don't know how to close this report, it is unnecessary, as the problem is being worked on there.

What do you actually mean?
2 days left, no change on this...?!
Confirming exactly the same problem no matter video settings.*
