Do you have any Firewalls (e.g. Windows Firewall) that could be blocking DayZ or Steam-App(s) from Harddisk- or Internet-Access? Otherwise i would toggle the "Run as Administrator" Option in the Game's Desktop-Icon if started from there or maybe you run your Steam-App with this Option, then toggling the State of the Checkbox in the Icon's Compatibility-Options might help?! Just a Guess.
Hello paulcubs,
Sorry to hear about your trouble. Could you attach a screenshot of the pop up messages please?
Thanks,
JStewart

Hi deltaz420,
Thanks for sending in your information. Your problem should now be solved. In case you encounter any further problems, please feel free to open up a new ticket in the Feedback Tracker.

And its on regular servers public hive, 1/3 pp
Also, my steam url is steamcommunity.com/id/fadec
These hacks are doing the lords work, by exposing the exploits before the game makes it to 1.0 retail. This always happens with online games, and the hacks needs to be exposed before they can be blocked. Also yes battleye is perma banning confirmed hackers. And with the link to steam, these clowns are going to find that they have f-ed them selves royally as you cant simply change your name or IP address like you used to be able to back in the day.
I've actually started seeing people get banned in the red global message thing for once but the problem is still big.

Hello,
Sorry to hear about your trouble. I can't reinstate your previous inventory, but if you send me a link to your Steam profile, I can free your character. Example: "http://steamcommunity.com/id/xxxxxxxxxx/"
Also, please let me know if your character is on a "1st/3rd Person" or a "1st Person" server.
If you prefer to send your Steam ID url in a private message, you can click the "Make Private" button to the left of your message after you click the button labeled "Add Note".
Thanks,
JStewart
Thanks JT- just upvoted this before seeing the solution. My son and I were both having issues on our computers- mine wasn't for awhile on my desktop but the problem remained on my laptop. Looking forward to seeing if that does it!
The problem would only happen after I got hit by something... typically a zombie.
to get rid of the issue just disable postprocess quality int the video settings.
This issue is well known.
The real problem here is this stupid script-kiddie hacker.
His name is: [cG]ZeRO
Hello,
Thank you for sending us your feedback regarding this issue. Unfortunately, this problem is a known issue that has previously been reported. The devs are aware of the problem and will be working on fixing it.
Closing as duplicate of #20215.

Yup, this is annoying as hell.
Thank you for the report Scottimus1254.
We are aware of this issue #0020648 and it has been scheduled for a fix.

This game should be as much realistic as possible. So there should never be any messages saying "player X killed player Y", not for killed player, either for the killer or anyone else. Check pulse is also feature that should be removed. That is not real.
There is a new dupeing-glitch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gourBNSLQE
The problem is: if you kill yourself, there is nothing in the logs!
Also the positions of the 2 players would be too good in the logs.
Player A breaks the legs of player B. Player B is dying because of something (no more blood, starving and so on).
Now, you can not find in the logs that Player A killed Player B.
No.
XX killed XX.. PLEASE nothing like this. The console needsa to stay absolutely clear of global messages like this.
Also "You have been killed by XX".. ALso something like this would destroy the game.
Hey everyone and thank you for your feedback.
We currently have something in the works, please be patient for a little longer.
Thanks,
Andy
Hello,
the server log are good, good work and thanks!
But there is something bad..
"Unknown Identity killed by Player-X".
Could you please develope something to show the name of the killed player?
Because of there are many many playewrs using a stupid new method of duping items.

Reported in next patch, I was notified of having more log files to work from.
I would however wouldn't mind seeing XX kills XX in blue on the server message screen.
Kill-logs!
Report-buttons (@Paper26: How is an admin supposed to know if players can't report?)!
Accessibility of player Steam-Ids for admins!
A replay system for easy assessment of the situation for admins (this existed in Battlefield 2, for example)
I'm tired of this anonymity, what's the point to it???
And for crying out loud
SERVER-SIDED PLAUSIBILITY CHECKS!!
A player who was in Elektro one second can not be in Bere the next.
Plausiblity check says: This guy is a hacker!
A player can not score 100% headshots with an AKM
Plausibility check says: This guy is a hacker!
A player can not be 300 feet up in the air!
Plausibility check says: This guy is a hacker!
An item can not be 3km far away and in your inventory the next second!
Plausibility check says: HACKER!!!
It's that simple!
Agree Agree Agree Agree Agree.
For the Badmins, they can also be reported on the dayz forum, and then their server is closed.
bad at least the number of hacker will go down very fast, and that is way better!
THIS is needed badly, there are alot of hackers these days ofcourse this can be abused, but atleast its SOMETHING we can do agains them!
Your forgetting whom pays for the servers. Server logs are very important to help development of the game. So is Screenshot submissions of detected hacks viewable by the server admin and the company to help fight off hacks.
I completely agree, then let the player fight to have a vac ban taken off after they have been caught flying through the air, or autoaim bars displacing on the screen.
Kill-logs this month?
Oh jesus.. I don't believe in you, but this time I think you've heard my prayers.
Logs are absolutely necessary to run a server properly. The argument about Badmins using them for ill will, that can be said about anything.
Badmins will be Badmins and decent admins will be decent, you cannot put all admins in the same basket.
Kill logs at least, so we can use that along with video evidence to properly ban. Trying to get a pulse check on a teleporter is almost impossible.
From what I know we're getting kill logs this month or so I've heard.
How about a simple log of players able to submit reports.
Example.
HACKREPORT: (Player1) just reported (player2) for hacking. Details: "Ban this dude plz he r hacking kthxbye".
*push*
People will do anything they like, if they think they can get away with it. Don't give them the chance.
How do you prevent unscrupulous server owners from revenge banning regular players using these logs? Recording position data seems like it could be abusable, too.
I don't know. But we need logs absolutely.
Good Server Owners, the administrator of big DayZ-Communities, won't ban without reason, this is for sure.
*push*
Thank you admins and devs to implement some basic server logs.
One question.. is it possible for the next update to implement "player 1 damaged player 2"?
This would be extremely perfect.

Hallo respectis,
leider hat Biggi0001 Recht. Das ist ein BattlEye Problem und darauf hat Bohemia Interactive bzw. das DayZ Entwicker-Team keinen Einfluss drauf. Tut mir Leid.
Bitte wende dich direkt an BattlEye. Die sitzen in Deutschland, sollten also auch der Deutschen Sprache mächtig sein.
Aber bitte benutze im Feedback Tracker zukünftig Englisch. Danke.
Gruß,
Johnny

You were banned for whatever reason - contact Battleye, nobody can help you here. http://battleye.com/support.html
Not a good idea. People will lose their connection by killing the router or pulling the RJ45 out. Network failures are not so common anyways.
This is a game that used to see players bind Alt+F4 to their mouse buttons.
Players will absolutely abuse an instant log-out if you let them.
I was killed while I was driving a V3S and suffered an unfortunate lag-spike, and the server decided my ping was too high and the best course of action was to force my character to tuck and roll under the wheels of my truck...My ghillie suit, AUG, and my longest living 47hr character was lost.
A good programm script can distinguish between losing connection and logging out, DayZ is already doing it as you can see when someone loses connection, then a message appears that says "XX is losing connection.
This message doesnt appear when you log out, so it can distinguish
The devs made it to where your character stays for 30 seconds after logging to prevent combat logging and server hopping to sneak around behind the person or people trying to kill you to get the drop on them. So I doubt they will change it back to the instant log out. In fact I'm pretty sure it's impossible for a script to be written that could distinguish between a router crash and just logging out.
I bet only some people would have that idea, anyway, in a pvp situation you dont think about killing your router ;)
Additionally, who has to know that there is no despawn animation when killing router?
And the most guys are playing DayZ in a group with ts, they got a few more network applications running, and those applications have to be restarted again, so, they wouldnt think about killing their router
Implementing this for server kicks and high pink seems okay, but how do you prevent someone from combat logging by killing their router on purpose when they're in danger?
Good lord, that's awful. +1 because this is important.
Yep that sucks. Should fix that asap.
added a youtube video with the problem recorded:
