vote up guys, do not think it's a complicated thing to apply
Would be great to see the Arma 2 system for the little bird brought back
up, I'm hoping for a fix in the next update
I did a test with almost any fixed locations or various structures, not any one with the rpm interner found in, for example, the .50 cal shoots at around 500 rpm when the average is about 700-750.
I want the good old 2000 and 4000 rpm modes of arma 2 including the spread/no spread that came with those modes, it worked really well and I'm confused why they changed it.
This feature is currently implemented in the Dev Branch, expect it to appear in the next stable patch
Should also be able to set default skills.

Flying in a straight line doesn't seem as a good way. UAV could ended up in an enemy territory or very far from player and out of the map. Both these situations can cause complications to player and we have decided that UAV should stay circling, not flying in a straight line.
When I checked behaviour of a fixed-wing in the game, it seemed that it did exactly what it is supposed to do. I didn't observe any flying back to its spawn point. Are you still able to reproduce this issue? Thanks

Tanoa coming this year. On those islands it will make great sense and also will increase possibilities of using Light Strike Vehicles!

the time for waiting was too long, so i try it self too solve the problem.
I deinstall the game again and found some files in the arma folder, which are not removed.
It looks like some files from the adon "swedisch army..."
I don´t know, why it was installed. Maybe from steam? I don´t know....
I delete all files and folders and reinstall the game.
After download all patches, i can start sucessfully the campaign.
It is necessary to attach the dxdiag file!?!?

i select test profile and try to start showcase mission "zeus"
__> Ceashed to Desktop with the same Error Message as the first ones.

After sucefully end of the procedure, i try to start the campaign....--> Crash

i delete my savegames, because arma3 show me as incompatible Version.
So i try to start the campaign with my normal profile.
Now i create a new profile and try to start the campaign. Result --> Crash!!!
I check my game files via stam for defect or corupted files.
All was well.
And now?

could you please try to Revert the last mission of Survive? If you played it through, please choose Revert. This way we can exclude that the game crashes due to save incompability.

Today i update Arma3 via steam to Rev. 1.18.124097
The new build doesn´t work, too.
Arma3 crashed. In the second Zip file you can find a screen shoot from the error message.
Also i test the infantry presentation. --> same problem
I hope you find a solution for my problem with arma3.

Hard to tell how to reproduce it. It happened to me only twice. Once after 40 min of gameplay, second one while i was afking, few min after start.

I think i found when it occurs. Updating all info above.
Unless there is already a way to do this these commands would be really helpful. People have apparently been wanting it for a long time (earliest request I could find was nearly 6 years old).

Did this happen to you just once? Were you issuing some orders to the AI when it was climbing down the ladder? Could it possible been shot during the climb anim.?
I've tried several ladders and situations (behaviors, enemies, being shot at) with AI subordinates and wasn't able to repro it so far. Any further info would be helpful!

Once I load the saved game just before the ambush, (Spotter 3 have already said "the convoy just reach the coast...")
And the convoy don't arrive... (happened only once)
I've wait for the convoy or for the spotter from 07:09 to 07:16and5sec (time of the game).
And nothing happen, and before I've take time to set the ambush.
I'm not starting from a saved game, each time I restart the mission from beginning.
If you need more info, just ask and I'll do my best.

I believe the AI should always obey the watch command, because most of the time the player will give the AI their sector of fire (watch command) so that there will be some kind of round defence and protect the flanks.

(my issue was happening during the showcase)
From the pic it looks like a Commanding Showcase. The AI is probably focused on the enemy boat.
Once the AI sees an enemy threat, it ignores the watch command and aims at that threat (an actual AI unit needs to have a clear visual (shared report is usually not enough) on the target to ignore the watch command and try to aim or shoot unless on hold fire).
Could you please confirm, that this could apply to observed situation? Let us also know what you think. Thanks!
The problem happened again and I can't spot what they aim.
i Agree with Mr_Centipede. This is a complicated order to give so AI should obey it in priority.
Exception should be add with close enemy or enemy firing.
Maybe the AI team-mates shouldn't react as individuals but as a team. So the closest or the one which is assigned to the direction should be the only one to be aiming the spotted enemy. So the rest of the team can obey the order and get ready for further incoming.
my guess is that after contact, the AI is aware of some enemy that the player cannot see, so they will always try to look at their target... I come to this theory because it usually happens after contact.
In campaign, to set the ambush (episode 2 adapt) I've try again and this time it worked perfectly.
(my issue was happening during the showcase)
So i've no explain... I'll try to reproduce the bug, and let you know.
Visually it not always look like they are observing the right direction, but they do. I have no issues in custom scenario's.
