Just so that you know, showHUD false; also disables action menu which you normally access with mouse wheel scroll. I doubt this is what happens when you say it works for you in SP. Most likely your difficulty setting in SP is different from the one in MP. I'm actually more concerned with amount of upvotes for this ticket, clearly description.ext doesnt have showHUD param, and it definitely does not support sqf.

EDIT: I see why it worked in singleplayer. It was because I have turned it off in the Settings of the game. However, Multiplayer is still not affected by the code in the init.sqf

You can simply create the init.sqf and place it in your mission's folder, it's a text file.
Honestly? I don't think that there is much use for this option to make availabe on general basis. If a mission author wants it, he can implement it.

So, now back at home, I tried your workaround.
Therefore I deleted showHUD false; from the description.ext, created a new file called init.sqf (saved as all files so it became an sqf insead of txt), and added

to it.
However, in singleplayer, the HUD disappears as expected, but in Multiplayer, I still have the whole bunch of HUD elements in it... :(
I dont see how it worked in SP for you considering there is no command isClient in Arma, so the whole "then" scope with showHUD false; would have been ignored.
As mission designer you can give every player the choice to show HUD or not, it is entirely up to you
As Killzone Kid pointed out, this command is used for scripting. If you put in your description.ext, your mission will crash (tested it, CTD as expected). The weapon pack does not matter...
Workaround for you:
In your init.sqf add the following code:
if (isClient) then

showHUD false;
};
This will have the desired effect on clients in a multiplayer enviroment.
But I'm still in the opinion, this should be the players decision and not be given by the mission itself.

Well you better attach your repro mission because adding showHUD false; to description.ext doesnt even let you start the mission as it immediately quits with error.
showHUD false; on a own line. This works perfectly in singleplayer.
The Point is, this is not optimal in any way to have it scripted. Why not let just the user decice, if he wants to have a HUD or not.

In the normal case there error message contains the name of the error object. But now there is only a black box without the name of the error link. How I can debug this now?

By testing a editor mission comes a error message, that the mission contains one or more links to a static object. I have solved this problem with using normal game version and not the dev version. I ca not repro this error at this time. If the error comes again in future I post it with a screenshot.
yep. once I needed a sh*tload of screens for a video project, and I set everything to ultra. never quite got my old fps back.
Upvoted, because Settings Presets (like in the controls menu) are very handy, especially if you plan to make presentation videos, cinematics, etc. 1-Click revert would be awesome!
This would also be very nice for changing settings quickly on the fly in a mission.
-Say you are observing from an hill and you want to sacrifice FPS for view distance. Quickly change to a preset you have made called e.g 'sniper'.
-Maybe next part of the mission is to move into a town, quickly change to your 'CQB' preset where you sacrifice video quality and view distance for max FPS.
-At the end of mission you want to take a team screen shot, select your 'max ultra settings' preset.
I tried to suggest this in the arma II forums way back, hope to see it finally implemented.
This type of presets would also be fantastic to have for us that change between one and three monitors, no need to set up every setting manually each time.

almost every pile of rocks on altis is glitchable.
Bug with the Zafir is still there after a very long time. Weapon is kind of unusable because weapon is broken in combination with many vests and backpacks. The bug is especially noticeable when deploying the bipod, at which point your screen gets blocked.

View of high zoom 3d sights is being obstructed by part of the player around the neck/shoulder areas.
Issue is caused by uniform, as well as vests and backpacks.
Most obvious with by the CSAT Fatigues, affects Guerilla Uniform and Ghillie suit CSAT.
Also affects MX SW, MXC, PDW2000, SPMG-338, Sting, TRG-20/21 and Vermin SMG. Affected weapons all have sights mounted further back than other weapons.
Issue is most obvious when when crouched.
I frequently encounter this issue, but not only with the Zafir + ARCO + Carryall BP. Several other weapons are affected too. I'll try and make a list at some point. In the mean time this needs more votes and maybe a mention in the General Discussion Thread, since that seems to be the only time when tickets receive proper attention.
This is still happening.
Created a player on the map and added the follow to the initialization:

Go prone, then one stance further down caused the entire scope to be blocked. Also when moving in almost any crouched stance the scope is blocked because of the ghillie suit.

I've noticed this issue for a while now. Up voted.

Having tested it after randomly happening upon the issue I've found it is caused by every piece of clothing (to some degree or another) other than underwear or the default clothing when you're not wearing anything in the inventory slot. Vests and backpacks also add to the clipping, but helmets for sure don't interact with the scope.
Best guess: the Zafir's camera position (that you change to when aiming down the sights) for the RCO and ARCO is put too far back on the weapon and is clipping into the shoulder, especially when moving to the right which causes the biggest clipping issue of all directional movements. I assume this has to do with some design decision to keep the Zafir's iron sights still visible in any optic with dual purposes built in. Short range holo optics have no issue and long range sights like the Thermal sight for machine guns do not have issues with this either.
Testing on the MRCO yielded nothing for me, oddly enough, but the image definitely suggests there's something to check with it.
