Hello,
may I ask when this issue happens? You've written that it crashes every start but the logs shows it happens when you open Direct connect dialog.
Hello,
we've scheduled an update of Publisher in Development branch to tomorrow and it contains an overhaul of tag selection (or rather the very first part of it). This update will allow you change type of item to 'Campaign' and then you can choose a scenario type tags. Also I've add your issue as one of the use cases for the next steps in this endeavor to improve our Steam Workshop.

Hello,
your PC fails to render Launcher window. Please update your graphic card drivers or run Launcher in the safe mode and disable hardware acceleration of Launcher's UI so it won't be rendered by your graphic card: https://arma3.com/launcher/troubleshooting
Aug 16 2016
There are two possible workarounds to prevent the crash:
- remove servers from the Unit if you can;
- leave any unit that has any servers listed.
Hello,
thank you for reporting this issue and please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. The issue is indirectly caused by Arma 3 Units servers being either down or serving a corrupted data. We've updated Launcher so that the next version won't be affected by this issue.

Hello,
may I ask what the error message says?
Aug 12 2016
Could you please upload logs from Steam client: they are in "logs" folder in Steam directory (by default in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\logs).
Hello,
would it be possible for you to try to publish the mod from a different computer or from a different location? Steam error code 2 means a general error when Steam client process the request for update of the Workshop item, it might be a temporary disruption of service on Steam servers or there's a problem with a connection.
Aug 10 2016
Hello,
please try to re-install you graphic card drivers or start Launcher in Safe-mode and disable its hardware acceleration.

Hello patm1515,
thank you for reporting the issue. We'll fix it as soon as possible.
Hello,
you're missing a file that is part of Microsoft .NET Framework (or that file is corrupted). That file is necessary for Launcher to run. Please try to re-install .NET Framework 4.6.2: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344
Aug 8 2016
Hello,
please restart your computer and then start the game again.
Aug 7 2016
Hello,
somehow your game files are mix of a different versions and they can't work together. You will have to let Steam client re-download the files to get the correct version.
Before that I'd recommend to delete the existing ones to ensure that Steam will really re-download them:
- Go to a folder "E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\ ".
- Locate and delete "Launcher" folder.
Hello,
this issue is caused by the Windows security update KB3078601. You can wait for Microsoft to release an updated version or uninstall it (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/troubleshoot-problems-removing-updates#1TC=windows-7)

Hello,
could you please try to start Launcher in Safe-mode: https://arma3.com/launcher/troubleshooting ?
Aug 2 2016
Hello,
thank you for reporting the issue. The problem is usually with some 3rd party program that blocks a communication channel between the game (Launcher) and Steam client. It might be a firewall or antivirus (Comodo Antivirus is known to block this channel), or other programs, e.g. Spacedesk. You can find a more complete list on https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9828-SFLZ-9289
Hello Danieldan5152,
thank you for reporting the issue. We've already fixed the issue internally and from what we know, it's caused by corrupted information about Arma 3 Unit.
As a temporary workaround please check that all your Arma 3 Units have a unit emblem (logo). If not, please update the logo or ask the administrator of the unit to re-upload it. That should fix the issue for you until we release an update version of the game.

Hello,
thank you for reporting the issue. For what we know, the issue might arise when Steam client loses connection to the internet and then regains it. We believe that we've fixed this particular issue on the development branch, and the fix will included the next update of the game.
Jul 28 2016
Hello,
we've done a several changes recently that might fix the issue for you. They are now available on the development branch, in case you'd like to give them a try - https://dev.arma3.com/dev-branch
Jul 27 2016
Hello,
could you please upload the file here? It contains the information necessary to identify and fix the issue.
Jul 26 2016
Hello,
it seems that you're missing at least one of the files that Launcher needs to start. Please let Steam client verify the game files and re-download the missing or corrupted ones:
Hello Progarrett,
Dependecy Walker shows that at least two system (DirectX) files are corrupted (rest of the files with the yellow icon don't present an issue). Those files are in this system folder (it's not exactly the path Depedency walker shows, but they are there - Windows magic - trust me on this):
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\D3DX10_43.DLL
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\D3DX11_43.DLL

Hello,
most likely your .NET Framework installation or Windows installation is corrupted. Please try to re-install .NET Framework https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49982 and let Windows check its files https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833

Hello,
thank you for reporting the issue. We know that this problem might occur when after the connection to the internet while Launcher is running. We believe that we've already fixed the issue on the Development branch and the fix should be available in the main release (v1.64).

Hello,
could you please manually gather Launcher logs and upload them: http://arma.jiripolasek.com/howtos.html ? I believe that the issue is not directly caused by corrupted settings, but some other component on your system that prevents the processing of configuration files.
Hello,
sorry for missing link, I'd to leave the office abruptly. But from your last post I can see that the it wouldn't help you at all, as the bug is indeed with Windows 10.
Hello,
we located the issue (thanks to Zaf from your unit). The problem is that your unit (https://units.arma3.com/unit/armaph) is missing a logo, and in one point that causes a crash.
I've already send a message to Zaf regrading the unit emblem. Re-uploading it should fix the issue for you and everyone else in your unit.
Jul 13 2016
Could you please download this version of Launcher, unpack it to your Desktop or Documents and run it from there? If that is the issue I've original though it was (when fixing Workshop cache), it would be fixed. It that is the issue with Windows 10, then it won't be.
Can you enter any of the mod folders in the G:\ArmA 3 Mods\!Workshop and for example open some file (e.g. readme) from there and some Addons folder in one if the mods? I came across an article about a bug in Windows 10 that would explain the errors in the log.
May I ask you, did you ever manually modified or deleted mod from Steam Workshop cache?
Hello.
We suspect the issue is caused by one of the servers, but we can't pinpoint the exact cause nor reproduce it with any public server we can reach.
Hello,
sorry for the inconvenience, we'll fix that as soon as possible. In meanwhile, changing the legacy mod storage folder in mod options to a different drive (and then back) should fix the issue.
Hello,
this error is caused on the graphic card while rendering Launcher window. Please try to update your graphic card drivers. If that doesn't help, go to Options / Launcher Options and check "Disable Launcher's UI hardware acceleration".
Jul 12 2016
Correct you are, the issue was indeed caused by version mismatch.
Hello,
it seems that you're missing at least one of the files that Launcher needs to start. Please let Steam client verify the game files and re-download the missing or corrupted ones:
Hello,
thank you for reporting the issue. Could you please upload the log that was created on your desktop?
could you please verify the version of you Launcher please: in the Options menu in Launcher are version of the game and Launcher. If you click on them, it will be copied to your Clipboard.
Jul 11 2016
Hello,
this error usually happens, when you attempt to start the game from Launcher while Steam client is not running. At the same time, it will also cause start of the Steam client, new start of Launcher (which is not noticeable as it is already running) and then subsequent attempt to Start the game should be successful.
Jul 10 2016
Hello,
I went through the Steam logs, and it seems that a new workshop item is successfully created, but when Publisher starts to upload the content (those are two separate commands), it fails because the item doesn't exist. I'm currently investigating why is this happening and I'd like to ask you if you're able to publish a different mod, with a single PBO.
Jul 7 2016
Hi karabin1000,
Steam returns code 9: "FileNotFound - file was not found" when you're updating the item. I've already seen a similar issue about a month ago and AFAIK it was caused by a one file that Steam wasn't able to upload. Unfortunatelly, Steam won't tell us which file is causing the issue, but it might be in Steam logs (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Logs - or where ever you have Steam installed)

Hello,
this issue is caused by the Windows update KB3078601. You can either uninstall the update or wait for Microsoft to release a fixed version of the update.
At this time there is nothing we can do to prevent the issue, sorry for the inconvenience.
Hello,
could you please tell me what version of Publisher you use and upload logs (you can access them through Arma 3 Tools Launcher - View / Open Logs folder - and find there files that has name "arma3publisher...").

your installation of Microsoft .NET Framework is corrupted and the library that Launcher needs to run is unusable.
Hello,

Hello,
I'm afraid that is how Steam works and we can do nothing about it.

ARLeotw,
thank you for letting us know. I've inspected the code and found a way how to prevent the crash, but I wasn't able to determine how the program get in the such a state that cause the crash. I'll investigate the effects of Sandboxie on Launcher and what we can do to make it running inside of it.
Jul 2 2016
Hello,
the scenario tag is intentionally removed from Publisher. It's because scenarios are using a different - older technology, and publishing them by Publisher would upgrade the item to a newer version and prevent the game from downloading it.
