Also happens when using Alt+Tab and switching back inside the game.

Win7 same problem
the speed is actually set using the images that show a solder walking, running and sprinting.
I don't have that option , is it in dev build ?
must be, I think it'll be on stable in a few days or a week or two.
@Fank Hi you wrote " if i got problems with the game.."
What do you think is the reason i am writing here?
The Game Engine the Ram management the Netcode.... means Low PFS every 4 hours Game restart cause ram is fragmented, our Server break down to 0,5 FPS randomly and then hundreds of steam ticket failures..... and by the way all these "things" we have seen more than 3 years on arma 2... i want Bohemia to do something but faster than on Arma 2... i am close to delete this game cause i wont wait the same long time till Bohemia will fix it... ok it takes a time to solve problems but i hope not the same long time like in arma 2
our Clan ( more than 70 members ) is frustrated and dissapointed....
Hello,
we thank you for your feedback and are sorry for any inconveniences.
Have a nice day.
This is a bugreport page if you got problems with this game, then feel free to share your problem in the forum, i think there are some other guys with the same issue.
And many will be helped there.
Not sure why this was closed as a duplicate of the other issue. This is a different issue (and I was asked to make a ticket on any issues that result from the first ticket).
This is a bug. Numerical values are not displayed to the user correctly. This presents a fundamental problem in that what you see is not what you get, which leads to lots of issues. If you are having to do large integer math (like ACRE needs to do on frequencies in some cases) then it is helpful to know if you actually have an integer or not in your math, so you don't get unexpected results.
I am NOT asking for floating point precision to be increased but for the allowance of seeing what values we are actually working with in the engine (and it'd be nice if the scientific notation was dropped too, not sure what the benefit of that is).

Basically, the value stored internally should be shown when represented as a string. Truncation or rounding not performed by the user is disingenuous and can lead to problems.
Suggested fix is a function that converts the single point float values in the SQF engine into their string form with out any manipulation, or extending the functionality of an existing command like str (though there may be backwards compatibility issues where developers relied on this flawed behavior in their displays).
Hello,
were you able to reproduce it multiple times? If you provide us with repro steps, we will look into it,
thank you.
TRANSPORT UNLOAD waypoint seems to be broken with Zeus units, we're investigating what's wrong.
UNLOAD waypoint works fine for me.
FIRE MISSION and LAND waypoint should be fixed now.
Why? For those of us that don't really understand this kind of thing.
This issue could easily fixes:

a 64Bit binary can offer a larger address range, http://www.viva64.com/en/k/0036/
possibly can even cause the server to run longer, without performance drops
Whoops. Similar to ID 0004063: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=4063 added tags on the other one to make it easier to find in the search.

Hello,
the same problem as #0018540 ticket.
from the DX-Diag you provided it can be seen that your graphic card is rather slow and does not meet the minimal System Requirements (VRAM at least 512 MB) so it is likely that the errors you see are present because some features failed to load.
There is nothing that can be done about it on our side.
Sorry for inconveniences, have a nice day.
Thank you for cooperation.
Could you please try to switch to Steam Dev and see if the problems persist then?

Thank you
In Dev Branch 1.19.123875 problem not solve :(
Hello,
could you please verify your game files via Steam?
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
After then, please try to run your Arma as an admin.
Thank you.
Check Cache, Download 128 bytes, Run as admin Steam and Game.
Problem is not solved.

Hello,
could you please upload your Dx-Diag?
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1597548
Thank you very much.
DxDiag in attach.
zx64: correct on both accounts.
If this behavior breaks some specific mission or mechanic please report it as a separate issue.
Looks like the game is using single precision: http://codepad.org/hcwPbKPf (I think you'll find a few game engines using single precision in 2014)
Also looks like (as with JavaScript) there is strictly no integer type, just operations on floats: http://codepad.org/YK8G2YV0
I am, of course, not implying that double precision would give exact answers, just the appearance of meeting expectations in these simple cases.
Also subtraction on large numbers is inaccurate: 33000011-33000000 = 12.
you can always adjust the overall AI skill coefficient under "gameplay" in the settings.
I would really like you to read http://floating-point-gui.de/ and then understand that FP arithmetic will not ever return precise decimal results. That being said, I would really like to know the precision used in the game engine.
The Int calculation is somewhat puzzling though. That should not happen.
looks like arma is using your integrated graphics card.
thre should be some way in the driver options to "tell" your pc to use the dedicated graphics card for arma.
and if there isnt you can try disabling the integrated graphics card in the device manager.
i found problem and solved it was hidden marlwe viruse hugging the gpu. without anything noticing
Hello,
could you please describe shortly where the problem was and tell us how it got fixed? It would help us a lot for future problems,
thank you!
I think i found fix, Alt+enter then leave window mode for few seconds then go back to full screen, it fixs the fps problem.
cuz i rarely use game in window mode, when i window moded and went to full screen, it fix problem somehow.
GPU virus, that can't be detected by anti virus nor taskmananger.
it huggs the GPU 99%.
delete virus usually bitcoin miners.
could you update the ticket (maybe in the additional info section) with more information about how you fixed the problem? That way, it will be easier for people to try themselves if they have a similar problem.
i don't really know how it got fixed, i was monitor task manager, used just take little cpu, now good took amount of cpu.
here we go again, i got fps problem once again. i uploaded image.
ill try everything i have tried before
i tried everything, every setting, google a lot fixes nothing worked.
i can ultra now with high fps. Thanks for solving my problem!
have you tried the good old autodetect settings? it might set everything to "standard" but at least see if that fixes your fps
autodetect leaves me to low. i think game is using my weak graphic card that is leads to power save.
look image just uploaded 2 graphic cards. one for power save and other one for gaming.
somehow my fps went 50, it got fixed.
i don't play windows mode. just did windows mode so i can screenshot
there no black background.
so how can fix this?
done, i uploaded image
be sure to check some things such as display aspect ratio. when I upgraded from a 720p monitor to a 1080p one, I lost a ridiculous amount of fps (10-20). I thought perhaps my computer just couldn't handle a 1080p render, turns out my aspect ratio wasn't quite correct (the calibration images were just a tad out of alignment). I fixed it, and instantly gained back said lost fps. Worth a shot. I typically get 28-38 fps, which isn't so bad, considering I run most settings on high or very high, and usually set my render distance to 9000+ (I'm a pilot).
@Fank, :O what are your system specs? that's amazing. what view distance do you run at?
no it is not windowed mode related, it has to do with the render resolution. Just check the calibration square/circle picture to make sure you can't see the black background behind it.
arma 3 takes only 23 percent of cpu
i uploaded image, windows mode with sea main menu. anti virus is off.
