peppering a helicopters fuselage with bullets (even up to 20mm for some helicopters) is not going to cause much damage, you have to go for the vital parts such as the main or anti-torque rotors but considering that this is a simulator and that reality is really hard to mimic then maybe faring at the fuselage actually dose something i don't know

by the way BloonerNL i have found that even though the windows of the Ka-60 are bulletproof the doors and framework is not. i fired a couple of rounds into the door and the pilot was dead, kind of weird that the windows are 100% bullet proof but the doors provide almost no protection.

yes i have found it to be considerably accurate but who uses a fixed machine gun to take out infantry. it is quite useless even with dispersion

the only thing i find it useful for is taking out tires of vehicles and to a much smaller extent, helicopter to helicopter combat

all of you saying that this is a realism case is to an extent mistaken because in real life people do not driving with a mouse and have reasonable control over the handling of the vehicle but on the other hand you are right, there is no marker in real life

I agree with you.

it would be a somewhat decent idea to take an emergency landing in water but so long as this exploding thing is going on you will have to take your chances with the ground.

I think that the recoil is fine as it is. The only problem with the recoil is when you are in prone, it is just a little bit to strong

I also believe that the AI seem to have less recoil problems than the player which can be annoying at times.

I do not expect a frag grenade to knock down trees and send people flying because that would be completely unrealistic however i have noticed that larger explosives do not affect such things as fences and trees. When you put a satchel charge near a wired fence you would expect it to rip the fence to shreds but that sadly doesn't apply

i think it should depend on how the bullet impacts

for example a bullet shot directly at the tire will not cause much damage or deflation but if you scrape the bullet across the surface of the tire it would tear a huge hole in the tire and would deflate or even pop the tire.

Although this was a feature in arma2 (i think)it is not realistic, most modern explosives do not explode when shot. Think about it, a bullet is only a small piece of lead and does not ignite (unless it is a incendiary or tracer round) so if this were a truly realistic simulator then i would expect only incendiary or maybe even tracer rounds to cause an explosive outcome.

as for throwing a grenade at a mine i don't really know.

I have noticed that all the low muzzle velocity small arms have this problem. you can practically shoot someone point blank in the face with a pistol and they will not die. it might be the helmet but it is still a bit of a stretch

light machine guns are meant to have a lot of recoil. fair enough in prone it is a bit much but other then that it seems quite normal

also a bi pod wouldn't hurt

the reason is that the game implements the time it takes the tire to actually turn
not like in other games where it is instant. i like it how it is as if feels both realistic and natural.

Really hope that it is changes back to how it was in arma2. now it makes it practical impossible to use because once you move you aim outside the dead zone it has a weird kind of collective sensitivity

there are all the "Issues" saying that the faction you are on should have markers above there heads.

yea because that happens in real life (Sarcasm)

in real life there is no markers or punishments for that matter, if you kill a friendly then you should have held off the trigger for the time it takes to identify friendly or foe.

maybe just maybe for the lower difficulties but still that is a stretch.

don't know if this is too far but it would be cool if you could like double click on a building and it would go into a kind of 3D model of the house with all the floors and rooms etc.

plus isn't there going to be a 3D editor on full release??
