VOTE UP! VOTE UP! VOTE UP! The game is unplayable after 5-10 minutes! Major show stopper! This is what happens when you rush untested code to production!
@Nurrvillian, I am glad that you wasted your time posting that warning for me.
My point being, it is bad form for a development team to push inadequately tested code to production on a Friday, knowing full well that nobody will be there to fix any problems that arise until Monday. Just as it is bad form to spell whinge without an "H" ;)
Same issue, no rain!

I don't understand the confusion here. Where I live, the sun will be south in the shy around noon. I used the this knowledge plus a wrist watch in the DayZ mod to get a rough bearing.

Is your character low on health (not blood)? If your character is low on health, your screen will appear blurry. Have you noticed this same issue as a fresh spawn?
Bullets never appear when you "empty" a magazine while it is on the ground (not in your inventory). Waiting for db sync doesn't seem to help. Bullets from the emptied magazine also do not appear in your inventory, even with empty slots available.
I cannot reproduce. This sounds like a problem with your network and/or ISP. What kind of connection are you on? What model of router are you using?
I can confirm that weapon attachments become invisible from certain angles while viewing my character in 3rd person view.
Details anyone? Connection speed, router model, modem model, type of connection, nic speed, ISP, DNS IP?
My best guess, get a better router :)
I have experienced this same issue. It seems that, on load, the backpack inventory is filled from the top down. When the items are dumped in (on load), sometimes larger items don't fit because of the way the items are organized. I noticed this happening most when I reorganize my backpack inventory so that empty slots are at the top (4-slot items on the bottom). When I log out and back in, items are reorganized so that the empty slots are on the bottom of my pack. Maybe it is my placement, but I always seem to lose my medical pouch. :(
This issue affects me as well. Default "L" doesn't work with my M4 (attached tac light). I am able to switch the light on/off through inventory as mentioned, but this ruins gameplay immersion for me.
Step outside in the country during a moonless night sometime IRL, tell me what you see...
Nighttime looks great! No complaints here!
I have found that you must wander in/near the edge of a water source until you find the, "sweet spot." At times this can be very frustrating. Proximity checking for standing water sources should be more forgiving.
I have not yet seen the Cammenga 3H Tritium compass in the game... It would seem that the new compass is not the kind that should glow.
Does anybody know if the military compass is available in DayZ SA? I would love to get my hands on it, the new compass is junk! :)
Details anyone? Connection speed, router model, modem model, type of connection, nic speed, ISP?
My best guess, get a better router :)
Mentalenemy, what makes you so certain that it is a BattlEye issue? Many others have already confirmed that their router/firewall is to blame, and they were able to resolve the issue.
We have provided enough details for the devs; they should be able to find and fix the issue with the server browser. I am guessing that they just need to throttle the server browser so that it doesn't flood the poor router with too many requests (triggering firewall flood protection on the router?).
We have also discovered a solution/workaround for the small number of people affected by this issue.
End Discussion
Wut? If this is true, it might explain a few things...
I'll test next time I get a chance (too much good loot atm).
I agree that the flashlights needs work, and it would be cool if your character's eyes slowly adjusted better to the night, but adding unrealistic coloring at night is silly and I see no benefit/need to waste dev time on it.
Also, I find it humorous that you picked a photo showing the beam from an 850 lumen lamp. I am sure you were just trying to show an example of how the flashlights should have better fill lighting, right? I agree that better fill lighting on the flashlights would make night play much more enjoyable.
Nighttime lighting is one of the most realistic aspects of the game (black/white because rods in the human eye cannot see color). When I first started playing DayZ, I was blown away by how realistic the nighttime lighting was! Please don't add cartoon coloring at night. If we must add color to make people happy, it should be very muted/dull (not like attached screenshot).
I would rather they spend more development time on making the flashlights have better fill lighting while inside buildings.
I enjoy viewing my player in third person during long walks on the beach. First person only, should be a hardcore/server setting.
Confirmed
Being able to check the server time in the browser would be the ideal solution. A shorter cycle wouldn't accomplish much; it would, most likely, cause players to hop between servers more often.
Yes, this is very frustrating when trying to shoot an azimuth.
Also, when the compass is in the sight up position (right click), could the character actually hold it up correctly; so that the degrees are easily visible, and sighting appears true (straight)?
