Agreed, but only if you have an item capable of doing so. Maybe any sharp item in the game, or a gun with ammo can have an action for it? I don't want an animation, but a simple script like that would be a neat addition.
It's quite possible you were killed by a sniper or something through a window.
This is a pretty good example of what a bug report shouldn't be. All you are doing is complaining, without providing any background info or means to reproduce it.
You are correct, the RCO is 4x. It's fixed now.
It doesn't work like that.
It should only be locked when using a magnified optic.
Are you launching through Play withSIX? I've been unable to launch through it lately, with the same symptoms as you, but it launches fine through steam alone.
I have also noticed this since launch on a 1080p monitor. It's a very simple fix, but I've resorted to Play withSix for now anyway.
Good point, I hadn't thought of that. What would a suggested keybind be?
Voted up, but I don't really see a tactical benefit of this implementation. It just seems like another keybind. This is a fairly simple feature though, and having it reviewed wouldn't hurt anybody.
There is already normal prone for that situation. Side prone is for emergencies to expose as little of the vital areas as possible. Moving while in side prone would defeat the purpose of trying to hide vitals.
I hope for a greater emphasis on the medical system later in development, as that was one of my favorite parts of the ACE 2 mod. There are community made scripts we use on our server for now to combat this issue, but I feel like BI could implement a few features from ACE, and maybe similar to the medical system in the DayZ standalone.
@Dr_Death
Those games do things completely differently, and don't download entire several GB mods from a server. There is enough stress on a server in Arma, it couldn't download huge mods like small models and maps in Source or Unreal. You don't know what you are talking about, please leave.
ShotgunSheamuS, Bohemia has actually given a shoutout in one of their sitreps, they definitely recognize what they are doing. I hope they can work with Six Networks to have the mod software be more standard, but for now Play withSix is an excellent alternative.

If the Oculus Rift were to be implemented and one eye sighting were to become an option, as it is in real life, then I would have a very poor time trying to close my left eye, as it isn't my dominant one. This isn't an issue I would even worry about until Rift support is added, so it shouldn't be put much effort into until then in my opinion.
The All in Arma mod re-implements the driving crosshair when in Arma 2 vehicles, so this feature could be easily implemented. Mouse steering in Arma 3 is acceptable, but I always imagine that I have an invisible crosshair when steering.
Mods, please, please close this thread already. I'm tired of seeing it show up along with legitimate issues in the Alpha right now.

Ctrl-M2 can be used as an alternative for switching optics in a vehicle or as infantry. Try that out.
Play withSIX has a built in launch option editor, with many tweaks listed by silenthunter and more that could greatly improve performance. Another place to find more launch options is here:
