Got fully geared up - left for a bit. Came back to new character on the coast.
This has happened to me every time I play then try to log in again.
I've lost
3 can openers
2 m4a1s w/ over 100 rnds in mags
6 axes
4 backpacks
hours of my life farming stuff only to have it vanish.
Done playing until this sees some resolution I just don't have the time to enjoy finding the stuff if I can't at least use it and die like a man. Zombies and bandits can't even kill me I just get reset.
go into day z folder and delete the text file called net. worked for me, haven't reset since.
please try my suggestion. also don't change servers super fast. issues with hive reading before it's fully written? I knew I haven't reset for a while now after resetting 6-7 times.
dude if you went unconscious for any reason you were as good as dead anyways. and then you disconnect. don't blame a bug.
I had this bug happen about 7 times. rolled with it. died some on purpose. deleted the net log file and it didn't happen again. dying and restating is not a bug... you are far from invincible in this game so don't clutter bug reports with "I went unconscious and respawned reports"
that's because if you tap the right mouse button you draw weapon and look down sights.. if you hold it just zooms camera
two different mappings so maybe the delay is a little longer than it needs to be but definitely not a bug.change mappings to a non hold button and no delay.
This definitely happens with certain items.
Couldn't get a gas mask off of the tall blue locker in a barracks.
I also one time broke my leg on a table when I was trying to get a can of soda that was close to the wall on the table in a house.
It was an unreachable can and I broke my leg on the table hahaha evil bug.

Charcoal filters water. Its in most water filters...
Take vitamins if you're sick. Antibiotics are handy for most sicknesses too don't know if they're in yet. Don't take antibiotics too much or they will weaken your immune system and you will get sick more often.
Don't drink pond water without purifying it.
Acceleration is stuck on, which is why a distance will pan a different angle based on speed mouse is moved.

pressing the flashlights quick slot does not put it away for me when it's on old clothes, have to click red x in hands box.
however when moved back it restores quick slot affiliation which is nice.
you just need to take whatever is in your hands out of your hands to take whatever you want to use into your hands.
yes the menu is messed up but you have to differentiate your inventory slot from your hands slot.
This issue is actually about the interactive menu and not "using things from the ground"

It really can't be "cheated away"
You can see relatively well in fields / open towns around flat areas with moonlight by raising your graphics brightness and gamma, but ultimately in larger towns / valleys or when the moon goes down you still can't see anything without a flashlight.
And yes that was before the patch. Now you really can't cheat it away whatsoever.
The "bug" is in the instance where you drag the 0% canteen which is to the right of the 100% one to the quickslot and try to draw the 0%. It will draw the 100%.
The quickslots will not honor the slot you took the item from, they rather, just take the item for use. If they honored the slot you assigned the item from and you were say down to your last 1 bandage, but you had a stack of 6 in your inventory too, once you used your last one your quickslot would be useless and you would have to reassign the quick slot to the different inventory slot.
You can just drag the 0% to your hands, or you can swap its place in your inventory and redraw it with quickslot to pull out the 0%.
Sure, its less than ideal usage, but the bug isn't that it's not possible to fill more than one canteen, its something different.
You can work around this.
You must place the canteen you want to fill in a certain spot relative to the other canteen(s). The hands will hold whichever canteen is to the left or above the other canteen(s) in the backpack.
Select servers it doesn't work at times. I've also noticed sometimes the server's doors will stop working. Its server side issue.
Seen it happen. It seemed to be just a temporary thing per server.

this happened to me after I broke my leg trying to get something off of a table. It was at the back of the table and couldn't ever reach it. Broke leg on table trying to reach it.
Also happens on tables sometimes.
+1 for bipod is invisible on m4
