I can confirm this. My tent has despawned twice. Additionally, items placed on the ground inside the tent have also despawned. We also built an oven fireplace (8 stones) outside of the tent. It too, has despawned, and vehicles are no longer persistent. I had two trucks parked in a specific location and both are gone after a restart.

I would also note that items that were moved prior to a server restart seem to re-appear near or at the same place they were when picked up. So unless you keep the items ON YOUR PERSON, they despawn and go back to their "assigned' persistent location. I was able to confirm this as the tent and some of the items enclosed were picked up near where I had laid the tent.

I must also note that this occurred AFTER the global hotfix. Both tents were setup after the hotfix, and after the server restarts, this occurs.

I logged out in a house in a persistence on server that had a mosin and a double rifle, after the server reset they were both gone, all fresh loot

last night i logged out in a big military tent, logged in today and it was gone

I pitched up a tent yesterday evening, after Hotfix, it disappeared too.
It was an official server. I checked it after one serverrestart and everything seems to be fine.Today it´s gone.

At least yours went back to persistence. I'm still sitting on a server that refreshes loot on EVERY restart. I can't even lay a sewing kit on the ground at camp and hope for it to be there after.

Wow, no warning of any kind? Just a giant middle finger? Would have been nice to let us know so we could have tried to at least save some of the shit we spent hours getting, to have you yet again fuck us over after you said this wasn't happening anymore.

This issue is usually caused by using -dologs startup parameter. Please remove it and let us know whether that has fixed the issue or not.

I agree - axes, in particular deteriorate too quickly. Their purpose it to cut down trees, but are ruined after a short while.

I have this problem too with my characters on certain servers.
Sometimes holding in V for a few seconds instead of just tapping it, keeps him from crouching.

Same here, jumping often make you vault, fists up when doing emote, randomly change stance when eating/drinking or perform actions like searching apple/stone.
I know the movement system is placeholder-ish one and something new with more animated layer will come in one day or another and nobody from the team will respond because the "fix" will be this new animation system, but I have to report it anyway...

Yes that happens.
The entire movement system keeps getting worse.

Can't wave (F1) or point (F6) without the character crouching or putting his fists up.

Often, while prone, when I eat or drink he'll stand up.

I need to ask: are you sure this is ingame? Or is it something you're hearing over skype or teamspeak?

I can hear my friends on skype being attacked by aggro zombies, hear their gunshots and also their clicking from empty weapons.

Can confirm this on all guns not just mosin. My friend was in ATC while I was in fire station up at North West. I could hear the click of his empty gun all the way over there.

I would agree that adding more fire-making implements would be helpful. That way each item could still have a high scarcity, but you'd have more than one way to skin a cat. Each has its pros and cons. The flare works, but can only be used once and is very bright. A 9V and a .22 round or shotgun shell would also easily start a fire, and both of those items are in the game.

Side-by-side config error is an issue with the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libraries and can occur with any application that uses VC++.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. To begin with, please attach a dxdiag report to this ticket:

  1. Open the Start menu
  2. Write "dxdiag"
  3. Press enter
  4. A window will open
  5. Click "Save all information"
  6. You will get a text file - that's what we need

Also, could you attach a screenshot of the error message please?

Something must be disrupting your connection to the servers, and unfortunately, this is something that we cannot fix from our end. Please refer to the network troubleshooting guide below:

  1. Check all the physical devices on your network to ensure they are plugged in and powered on.
  2. Perform a connection test on each device connected to the network. For reference, here is a list of platform-specific troubleshooting guides:

NAT Types:

  • Open
  • Moderate
  • Strict

Open NATs can connect to any of the three types. --> Probably the least common type
Moderate can only connect to open and moderate. --> Probably the most common type
Strict can ONLY connect to open.
Strict NATs are a difficult problem with peer-to-peer games. Since most people don't have open NATs, the player with a strict NAT won't be able to find many joinable games.

Also, if the player with a strict NAT does manage to join a game, if another player with a moderate NAT joins later, the player with the strict NAT gets kicked out.

Another problem is that sometimes the ISP (Internet Service Provider) is also behind a NAT, which often means even if you have a direct connection to the internet (without a router/firewall), the ISP still acts as a strict NAT.

Port Forwarding:
The following Ports need to be open on your router to connect to the online servers:
TCP 80, UDP 88, UDP 2302, UDP 2314, UDP 2326, 2338

If you need assistance with opening these ports, please refer to the following website for more information (you will need to know your router brand and model, as the website guides are based on specific routers)

Here are some additional tips that have helped many players improve their connectivity:

  1. Make sure your router's firmware is upgraded the latest version (very important).
  2. Unplug your router for 10 minutes and plug it back in. Some older routers degrade in performance over time until it is rebooted, similar to a PC.
  3. Disable any firewall or other network filtering for the game.
  4. Enable uPnP (universal plug and play) on your router.
  5. If you don't care about security, enable DMZ (de-militarized zone) on your router for your PC's address. This turns off all of your router's firewall features for that specific PC.
  6. Run 'cmd' in administrative mode and use command ipconfig /flushdns
  7. Contact your ISP and ask them what your DNS setting should be.

Direct Connection:
If you are still having issues connecting to the online servers after trying the above steps, try connecting your broadband modem directly to the console or PC you are playing the game on. This can help determine if the issue is related directly to the router or another source.

Alternatively, you can try out the following steps:

  1. Start Steam and right click on DayZ in your game library (make sure that the game is not running).
  2. Select the tab labeled "Local Files".
  3. Click on the button labeled "Verify integrity of game cache...".
  4. Restart your pc once the process is complete.

After this, do the following.

  1. Hold down your Windows key and press R.
  2. Type in "cmd" (without quotation marks) and hit Enter.
  3. Type in "netsh winsock reset" (without quotation marks) in the command window and hit Enter.
  4. Restart your pc as/if prompted by the cmd window.
  5. Launch DayZ.

If this does not solve the problem, here's a suggestion that is a bit more drastic. Please be aware though; you might have to reinstall your other Steam games afterwards:

  1. Move the entire "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder to your desktop. Your "SteamApps" folder should now be at the following location: "C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SteamApps".
  2. Move the "DayZ" folder out of the "C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SteamApps\common" folder and subsequently delete the "DayZ" folder.
  3. Uninstall Steam while making sure the "SteamApps" folder is still on your desktop.
  4. Restart your pc.
  5. Install a new version of Steam.
  6. Go to the new "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder.
  7. Move everything inside the old "SteamApps" folder on your desktop to the new "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder.
  8. Install DayZ again.

But the zombies also hit less fast but 2 times more often.

They hit 1 time with animation and 1 time instand without animation.

The same when they run.
They do 2 animated steps but in real they do 1 or 2 more withour animation.

And instead of having some kind of satisfaction of your character progress we've end up involved in some rubbish masochistic game of watching our characters die from hunger or thirst, because we don't care about zombies anymore, we just let them hit us and hit them back in dull way, and this game becomes exactly that - dull, no strategy, no excitement of finding other players or better gear, no fun whatsoever

definitely. apply the same logic as stacking sticks, leather...etc. stackable up to some reasonable amount.

Also the ability to split these items. I want to be able to share my matches with friends.
