I'm running a private shard on Vilayer. Since the patch and DDOS (impossible to know which from this end) zombies spawn but no loot. I've tried turning off persistence, as well as having it on and reset the persistence instance... and pretty much anything I can think of, but to no avail. Loot just will not spawn.

EDIT: I just had an exchange with Vilayer support, who told me that Bohemia have had some problems in getting the 0.52 update out, so some servers have been given the wrong files.

Are they working to get the servers updated properly as the server I use has had no loot as of last night until current time.

Moffat30: Well, once I got in touch with Vilayer support and told them about the problem, they had it fixed in twenty minutes. If the server you're on is having the exact same issue (which is, I suppose, likely) then I would assume the owner needs to get in touch with the provider's support so that they can fix it. That's what I did.

Instead of completely re-installing try going to your Steam library, right click on DayZ, go to properties, then go to the local files tab and click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"

I've been having this same issue. No matter what server I choose I lose connection after a minute or two. So I'll have to completely reinstall DayZ?

I deleted my dayz/battleye files and reinstalled Dayz, it seems it has fixed the problem, I can play again.

Yeah it's a public servers with first and 3rd player view enabled, players in our community have reported that the have had the problem on more than one server.

Are you guys playing on public servers? Bare in mind that each private shard has its own individual characters. Public servers also have different characters for 1st person only servers & normal servers.

Not had this issue personally, despite regularly getting the 'Waiting for host' message and being online when the server I play on resets.

If this is an actual issue, however, it's probably an issue with caching your player to the hive, like you suggested. That's more of an optimization thing (getting it up there absolutely asap). Don't imagine much can be done other than being a bit more patient with relogging.

This has started to happen frequently to me after 0.52 aka Xmass update - before I had this issue as well but exiting the server as soon as I saw the shore and no gear and then logging in on another server always fixed the issue - this time it sometimes works sometimes not - but in 4 consecutive games (4 days in a row)I had this problem three times and once I was able to save my character (that did not have much more than chicken feathers anyway) and twice I lost my character. I stopped caring about how much gear I gathered as I always loose it that way (some bug e.g. trampoline rocks) but this issue is really serious - If you can't trust your gear will be there next time you log in, then what is the point of playing? You won't even test the game mechanics as you will have to start all over again instead of trying new things added (e.g. ghillie suit, trucks, new weapons).

When you get OUT a V3, the item in your hands spawns on the floor where you got IN the V3. Meaning if you drove several miles and get out, the gun spawns on the ground where you got in.

I had this problem before too. The gun might still be there if you can get back to the same exact server in the same exact spot since guns are persistent. When u drop something entering a vehicle, it seems to come back after a while for some reason. Also, a quick fix for this, before entering a vehicle click the X on the item you're holding. This will put it into your "glitched inventory slot" that comes up after your shoes at the top of your inventory, or under your backpack if its a gun.

Sometimes animation stops but the action is not done. Try to "cancel" and do it again.

As of 0.53 I still can't skin animals on persistent servers, I haven't tried non persistent yet.

Will try to see if it's persistance related. Right now I'm playing on a persistance enabled private hive server. If it's not related to persistance, I'll try to see if it's performance related by playing on an empty server first and then by playing on a full server.

The position has been adjusted and should be fine after the next update.

I'd like to see barrel devices as another weapon mod slot. There are dozens of different muzzle breaks, and they all do different things.

Apparently pressing F11 while splint in hand and pressing "use" while in the surrender animation and doing it makes it work, maybe the suicide messed it up? just putting it out there.

I've crafted the splint just fine and used it fine?

Sit next to a fire with your hands empty and if possible have a thermometer. It's a result of being cold for long periods. Raise your temperature to 35.5c and it'll remove the effect. App 5-10 mins next to the fire.

That would explain why my friend was having those problems (including the gun twitch) but it continued happening to him after re-spawning and hadn't eating any human meat. It also was happening to me when I had only cut up people and hadn't eaten them, so does skinning them make your cry too? So it is still a glitch as it happened to my friend after he respawned.

Yeah the annoying crying/laughing is from eating humans. You will also have a twitch when aiming a gun, really annoying but man that human steak is tasty.

Did you eat some humans? because eating humans gives you a disease that makes you a little crazy and you randomly cry or laugh.

Thanks for sending in your feedback regarding this issue. You can always report abusive servers directly to the server hosts:

Multiplay: [email protected]

Fragnet: [email protected] or submit a ticket to their abuse department
GamingDeluxe: [email protected]
Gameservers: [email protected]

If you don't know which GSP the offending server is rented from, just send the report to all of them and they'll sort it out themselves.

• Remember to include the IP and port numbers, the server name is not enough*

You find these numbers by highlighting the server in the server browser, then selecting 'Detail' at the lower right. If you can't remember which server you were playing on, you can find it under the 'History' tab.

I can confirm I experience the same.
Used to sometimes happen before but just exiting and relogging always worked. After 0.52 update it doesn't help.

I cant play in full screen i can only play in windowed mode...ihave tried reinstalling the game an verifying the integrity of the game and ive tried running as administrator and it wont let me launch dayz in another compatibility mode

please attach the contents of your C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\ folder and your DxDiag report to this ticket in a .rar.
In the meanwhile, please try a couple of possible workarounds:

• Launching Steam and DayZ as Administrator
• Launching DayZ in another Windows compatibility mode
• Ensuring your drivers, especially graphics card, are up to date
• Changing the resolution and windowed (=1) values as described here http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/203970-resolution-problems-read-here-before-posting/ and then launching the game
• Reinstalling the game
• Verifying the data (Steam Library, rightclick on DayZ, Properties, Local files, Verify integrity of game cache)
