yeah sure, do you have an email address or something to send them to? I rather not publish them on an open feedback tracker :)
alternatively PM me on Arma3 discord, user @Uro, and I'll happily give you a dropbox link to a zip file with the model in the screenshot
Hello,
would it be possible that you send us your files for such object so we can look into this?
Thank you
Duplicate of assigned #27130
Can confirm. Also happens in the current development branch version.
Hello,
thank you for the response. However, we cannot determine what exactly caused your game to crash. It is necessary you try to run your Arma without any mods. If the crashes still happen then, please send another crashdumps.
If the crashes stop (on Arma without mods), please try to activate mods one by one until you find out which one causes the crashes.
Mods are not official content from Bohemia Interactive and it is very likely that the CTDs you are experiencing are caused by collisions between two or more mods.
Please let us know, thank you.
Hello,
we are sorry you are experiencing issues with our game.
Are you running any mods? If so please try to disable them. Should the problem occur again, please export your game log files from the launcher (again, without any mod).
Steps on how to export logs from ARMA 3 Launcher:
- Start ARMA 3 Launcher
- Click Options menu
- Drop down menu will appear
- Select: Prepare Arma Troubleshooting error and save those files
- A notification will pop up with the name of the generated file
Please note that it might take some time for files to collect.
Or use this tutorial:
http://arma.jiripolasek.com/howtos.html
Attach the generated files to the ticket. If the files are too big please use some free file sharing service.
Thank you
Closing as a duplicate, the other ticket contains more information.
Hello,
this error is most likely caused by corrupted installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Runtime package:
- Uninstall the program "Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86) ... "
- Restart the computer.
- Install the x86 version of the redistributable package again from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
Please DO NOT use the Repair function of the installer as it usually won't fix the problem and DO install the x86 version even if you have a 64-bit computer.
If that doesn't help, please upload Launcher logs and we'll go through them and determine the cause: http://arma.jiripolasek.com/howtos.html
Hello,
this issue should be fixed in one of the upcoming Steam Dev updates and later in the Stable version update.
If you can, please try to switch to the Steam Dev update (probably tommorow) and see if the issue is still present (feedback onto if it has been fixed will be appreciated).
Thank you
Thanks for the report. The development team will take care of the problem.
pressing ESC causes some things to break such as chat window or loss of USB controller/joystick.
I've never experienced any of this. What do you mean by break? You don't see the chat while being in the pause menu? Does it show again if you close the menu again? If so, then I wouldn't consider this a bug and probably the smallest issue the game has. Same for the controller prolem you described.
Or could a 0.5 second delay be put into some code on a dev build to see if stability in increased.
This game does work not at all like you think it does. How is that supposed to solve anything?
Hello,
we are sorry you are experiencing issues with our game.
This error is very generic. It may be caused by many issues, such as a hardware malfunction, a virus in the computer, but also an error in the game itself. Possible solutions:
- Try joining another server, then rejoin the previous one.
- Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
- Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
- Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
- Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
- Re-install DirectX.
- Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function).
- Run a Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files.
Attach the generated files to the ticket. If the files are too big please use some free file sharing service. You are looking for a rpt + bidmp + mdmp files with same name(timestamp).
Thank you
Hello,
it seems the game is not able to initialize the graphical subsystem.
Possible solutions:
-Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
-Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
-Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
-Disable the Steam Overlay.
Please let us know if any of this helps.
I upoload the report for you.
I hope you can solve the problem for me.
Thank you for your fast reply ^_^
Hello,
it looks like the crash dumps were not created (we need rpt + bidmp + mdmp files). It could be that your game actually did not crash or it crashed and was killed off (via task manager) too quickly for crashdumps to create.
Next time it freezes, please try to wait a minute or two so the dumps have time to create. If there are no crashdumps after then, we'll try to find another solution.
Thank you
Hello,
thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it. This issue should be fixed in one of upcoming Steam Dev updates and later in the Stable update.
Please let us know if the problem is still present.
Thank you
Awesome. Confirmed fixed in latest dev build :)
Hello,
we are sorry for the trouble that you are having.
Unfortunately there is not much we can do about this as this problem is on the Steam's side.
You can try to reinstall the Steam and try again or contact Steam Support.
Thank you
Warning: preNLOD format in object
a3\structures_f\ind\reservoirtank\reservoirtower_f.p3d
Hello,
could you please tell us if this is happening after specific amount of time and how many players are connected to the server?
Thank you
I've tried that by now 20 times, it still crashes.
If i dont use the performance version, the game runs out of memory.
Another preNLOD bug, about 20-30 Players.
With version 1.50 I didn't have any crashes, since 1.54 im either getting Access_Violation, preNLOD, or Server off with some memory counts.
Hello,
thank you for your feedback.
Could you please send us your last reply in English?
Additionally, a new update just rolled-out that should resolve the issue. Please make sure to update you game to the latest version and to verify the integrity of the game cache once the update done.
Thank you
Bon ça va faire un mois toujours pas de réponse. Arma3 un bon jeu mais trop buger avec vos erreurs Bohemia toujours aussi incompétent!
Hello,
could you please verify your game files via Steam?
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
After then, please try to run your Arma as an admin.
Thank you
Just an update:
After deleting everything in my MP missions folders in My Documents, the ARMA 3 root and the local appdata folders, the CTD has finally stopped. Thanks guys.
I'm now adding missions back on a "what I'm currently using" basis. Still haven't found which mission was causing the issue, but it is indeed fixed.
I have to still say that launching a vanilla game with no mods should not force the client to have to have every mod enabled for every mission in their mission folder just to host LAN. This has got to be a bug.
Anyway, problem solved.
Solved on user's side
Also, Killswitch posed a possible solution which I'll try too:
Try this:
- Make copy of the Arma 3 MPMissions folder (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\MPMissions) somewhere safe.
- Delete all files from the Arma 3 MPMissions folder (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\MPMissions)
- Start Arma again
- Try to launch a hosted LAN MP server and see if it works without crashing
If that works, you have a MP mission file that does this in the description.ext (or a file included in description.ext):
#include "\x\cba\addons\main\script_macros.hpp"
...for some unknown reason. The fix is to find and remove that mission.
And I want to thank you Commy from the bottom of my heart, man. You've invested more time in this than even Bohemia at this point and it will not be forgotten. Thanks so much.
Here's another report: http://pastebin.com/99qQkgYU
Strange. There is still no crash recorded in that RPT file. It looks exactly like the game was aborted with Alt+F4. I'm running out of ideas.
You could try this:
- go to your games main directory:
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3
and delete these two folders (or make a backup):
Missions
MPMissions
- go to your profiles folder:
%USERPROFILE%\documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles
then enter your main profile (you might want to do this for every profile, if you have more than one)
and delete the following folders:
missions
MPMissions
Saved
UserSaved
- finally go to:
%LOCALAPPDATA%/Arma 3
and delete the folder:
MPMissionsCache
Will I lose anything by doing this?
I guess one part of this that is really confusing for me is that I have two very specific error messages that I've shared here. Do they not point us in any direction at all? I just am really confused why "Include file x\cba\addons\main\script_macros.hpp not found" and "Unable to INIT DXGI" aren't helping point us in a direction.
Obviously the game is looking for and not finding this CBA macros script. Does anyone know what that is?
And DXGI relates to my graphics card, correct? Could that be the problem?
- Start game
- Make it crash
- Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%/Arma 3
- Pick newest rpt file and upload it
I'll post another report later tonight. In the meantime, should I delete the (now empty) Campaigns folder? I take it it's not used for anything?
I'm a little unclear by these instructions. The game is crashing. That's why I started this ticket.
Could you be a little more clear. The second I click on OK after selecting LAN/Internet I immediately CTD with the error messages provided in this thread.
Someone over in the CBA thread
Hi.
Yes please. Also don't only start the game, but let it crash and post the RPT then.
I already did that. Sorry guys. The issue still persists.
Have no idea how that got there. Someone over in the CBA thread told me to remove that too. I did and the exact same error happens in the exact same manner.
Would you like a new report?
EDIT: I see now that I did put the PBO there per the author's instructions. Regardless, the issue persists. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hello,
please try to remove the dfa.pbo file and try to run the game again. Should the crashing persist please, let us know.
Thank you
Yeah, I noticed that too. Apparently it's a campaign / set of missions.
https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/186001-sp-campaign-delta-force-altis/
Installation:
Extract "DFA.pbo" to your "Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\Campaigns" folder.
The developer wrote that this is the way to install it, but I don't think you are supposed to throw any files inside the Campaigns folder (which doesn't even exist, you have to make one), similar to how you are not supposed to put files inside the Addons-folder.
ref: https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/168277-cba-community-base-addons-arma-3/page-31
Here's a new rpt with no mods enabled: http://pastebin.com/Gv172mEk
19:53:40 Campaigns\dfa.pbo - unknown
????
It seems I've fixed the problem by disabling all mods. I previously only had CBA running, looks like it may have caused a problem with that particular mission.
Sorry to waste your time on this, in the future I'll explore all other options first.

Hallo Werner,
Hello Werner,
have you tried all recommended steps?
Are your problems resolved or is the game and/or your PC still crashing?
The attached crashdump was not helpful for the developers.
If your PC still crashes please attach the latest crashdump to your ticket.
Please let me know if your problems are resolved so I can close the ticket.
