vote down : Explain your point of view, please.
My logic is :
- addon loaded, enabled and active => items of the addon appear in tech-tree
- addon loaded, enabled and inactive => items still appear in tech-tree
- addon loaded and disable => item of the addon disappear from tech-tree
What wrong with this logic according your point of view ?
For the moment, the only solution to do the 3rd point is to delete the addon, I do not find this very handy.

Ok, solved : it's a pure NVidia problem. To all who have similar problem, check
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/451575/sli/fixing-sli-screen-flickers/
note : sometimes, swapping and/or returning SLI brigdes is enough to solve the problem
Ok then : it's apparently a problem with all recent gfx cards/drivers. In my opinion, the more disturbing is with high shadow setting : Usually, when you're "in action", we paid less attention to visual environment, except for this shadow transition at high setting... 'must be blind not to see the transition.
I have to disagree too : many pictures of mediterraneen sea show that you can 5-6 m deep. Moreover, my wife lived on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and confirm the realism of the Stratis water.
@ heyvern69 :
"Never mind." Don't worry, "never mind" becomes my common way of thinking concerning Arma 3. The more the time passes, the more I let A3 in its (virtual) closet. I'm fed up with unresolved bugs and broken promises.
"Still, this bug hasn't even been acknowledged by BIS, yet. And it was reported over a year ago." As many bugs... Sad, as you said
It seems to me that debate getting out of hand, let's refocus :
- NO BUNNY HOPING DEBATE HERE ! I really don't know how this idea's came in mind of few people but it wasn't my initial idea.
- HORIZONTAL JUMP CONTROL ONLY : most people don't want to see a "jump" control to cross vertical obstacle; I go along with their decision, so please concentrate the debate on a "horizontal jump" control to CROSS GAP.
One more thing : May be some out seems to consider that the idea of a "jump" control came from some of (relatively) young and "nervous" BF3 player (but my son is, no offense ;) ). In fact, I'm 50 yars old, play Arma serie games since OFP, don't like Battle Field, Call of Duty,... games. I had the idea of a jump drive because of circumstances encountered during my years of playing (damn, 12 years !). I would be happy if this clarification has a chance to stop this -BORING- "war" between "pro-BF3" and "pure-Arma" players I began to see here.
@Psychomorph
Couldn't say better !
"Real combat soldiers do not go about jumping in combat." Well... one of my friend is an old "red beret" (commando-glider) and didn't say that (and vote up, also ;) )
"There is no good reason for having a jump in this game."
Gratuitous assertion. I request explainations (for up and down voting), so that everyone can get an idea of the relevance of a "jump" control. Thank you for having nothing explained...
"Give me ONE good reason why there should be a jump"
Give me ONE good reason why there SHOULDN'T be a jump ? The job isn't to convince you especialy, otherwise, convince me ! I'm pleased to read remarks such as those Huorn writes, and open-minded enough to say that he's right, and therefore accept his downvote. Again: you said nothing.
I'm very curious to read the arguments of those who vote down, especially with a percentage of 50-50%. I found a simple "no" without any explanation very "frustrating"; and, for now, I only can read arguments of those who vote up. So, please, explane your point of view.
agree twice ! It would be a shame that a recent game does not (or badly) support SLI... Strangely, Arma 3 seems better managed with the Crossfire: my wife has very, very much better perfomances with two AMD HD670 in Crossfire than me with two NVidia GTX 570 in SLI (?)

re-tested and, I insist, it happens every time (tested in editor, with multiple soldier types + tested on another computer with different configuration). How do you test the bug ? In editor ? Command "F" is another solution, like weapons swapping, but not the resolution, this don't repair "my" bug.
Not only when facing a door. For example, enter the "Military Cargo HQ V1" (editor ID 20401) face the window with the hatch (menu close/open hatch), the "V"(="get out") command take you outdoor on top of rubbish. It seems that you can get through the wall of every 3D models with thin wall.
Me too. I can remove all my equipement except binoculars. I try with men already equiped with binoculars and also by taking binoculars from a crate.
So, if I believe some arguments, logically, my wife wouldn't have the right to play Arma 3 !...
I find some arguments that I read... "weird". If you are a woman and want to play A3, it's seems logical to play with a female avatar. Those who don't want "female soldier" will simply not use it/her and those who will need to have a "female soldier" available, will have it/her, at least.
Even one of your friends is happy to play Arma with my wife (with a female soldier; thanx for your mod, Schnapsdrossel !), and he's "red beret" NCO (commando glider).
Would real military be more open-minded that players ?
I vote "yes"/"up", but just because I found very irrealistic to look directly at the sun without being blinded. I don't care about working sunglasses.
"seems to fix the flickering with no FPS penalty." Wrong ! It's probably because you use "nvidia recommended settings", so you probably disable the use of your second GPU/GFX card. I usually test Arma 3 with "nvidia force alternate frame rendering 2" setting, but if I use "nvidia recommended settings" or, as you said, turn off my second card, I loose at least about 10-15 fps.
I'm REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, fed up with this flickering bug, mostly because I have invested a lot of money by buying a second graphic card in anticipation of the release of Arma 3, and finally found out that my investment is a source of problems, and I don't think I'm the only one in this case.
Please stop telling there's a solution to the flickering bug by desactivating the second GPU/card, it's like telling SLI/Xfire users that they spend hundreds of dollars/euros/... just for nothing !!
Almost confirmed : SLI enabled with two GTX 570, using "old" NVidia driver 320.10.
PIP works for Ifrit and Hunter, all other PIP don't work (agree with MrDionne : submarines are almost unplayable in 1st person).
Try this with a riffleman : dive a few meters, then reach the surface without release the "W"/"forward", continue to swim to the surface without stopping to look at the sky (I looked at the sun, but also tested with a 45° view, looking at a mountain around Marina Bay). Fuzzy then black view appears in about 30-40s all the time, as if you were still under water. This is the most convincing test I found, and it works every times.
Results after releasing "W" key differs : sometimes I recover breath in a few seconds, sometimes I must wait 10-15s (depends on the waves ?).
It's less obvious if you reach surface more or less horizontally (look at the horizon).
Agree ! It's very strange to reach surface WITHOUT hitting "X" and being unable to breathe immediately (automaticaly re-breathe after ~30s). Futhermore, I found that all kind of soldier are "champion of apnea" : it took about 4 min before the blackout and lack of air (BTW, good idea, this blackout and the sound "lack of air" are perfect)
