uploaded arma3server_public_crash collection.zip, it contains rpt + dmps of 6 crashes in 3 days.
wow. thanks alwarren, right clicking feels kind of unintuitive in arma
as i dont feed trolls, i am out.
BIStudio's designers already considered your point when building altis. Just read the newspaper lying around. Additionally you have the opportunity to sacrifice beauty for fps by decreasing the object draw distance.
your thinking of the amount of objects decreasing frame rate is correct, but i dont agree with you saying that the player should be able to blend out specific objects as it changes gameplay to an asymetric level. (see danczer)
i am running 1.54 hotfix and still waiting for a fix :/ is there any progress?
same error on vanilla 1.48, rig got 16gb of ram

would be a nice-to-have for the arma 3 launcher too i think
game still reads
Parser Test v1.0.0.Altis
instead of
Parser Test v1.0.0 - Vanilla.Altis.pbo
in game version 1.46 ... bug not fixed
i do understand the LL1 conflict happening there, but there shouldnt be a syntax defined by a grammer. the parser should implement an attributed grammer to check if the filename ends with .Altis.pbo, which could be implemented easy as fuck
btw.. not fixed in 1.48
push as answer on further information is pending for 2 weeks now
Hey iceman,
no, it's not caused by any mod dependency. The parser reading the mission name just reads garbage. Here is another mission (Vanilla, 1 Rifleman placed on the airfield): https://www.dropbox.com/s/9zy51zylkaw2usr/Parser%20Test%20v1.0.0%20-%20Vanilla.Altis.pbo?dl=0. The problem is, that the parser just ends reading after the occurance of a word after the "last" point. This will work on server's mpmission folder however. http://i.imgur.com/sYEZmqA.png
push. this is a issue, that causes the HC to dont spawn any units anymore. therefore it has to be considered a game breaking issue.
game crash fixed by deleting registry entry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> Software >> Microsoft >> Windows NT >> CurrentVersion >> Image File Execution Options >> arma3.exe >> UseLargePages
the client tried to write in a read-only memory section.. how the f*** did you get your arma 3 to do that Oo
if this actually happened its kind of a big security issue
solved
as a work around you can add startup parameters via steam to connect directly to a server. you just have to add "-connect=1.1.1.1" you have to replace 1.1.1.1 by the ip of the server you want to play on. if you want to get further information just follow this link https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Startup_Parameters
i also got a possible fix for you: just check for file integrity via steam
issue is still present in 1.28.127008

error occures repeatedly for 4 out of 7 players. it looks like the problem just happens if you got a nvidia graphics card, because those who got that error got 100% nvidia cards. (gtx 780, gtx 770, gtx 570) amd cards seem to work fine.
Server runs with "guaranteedUpdates = false;". it ran fine before testing this parameter. additionally we tried some new netsettings
