In the current patches this is still noticeable. At heavier winds the trees sway too much. It makes them look like some kind of enchanted forest, with living trees that wants to crush you.
I was not trying to crouch before the events in the video. I had spawned 5 minutes earlier and ran up to this building.
However, I don't remember if I tried to crouch WHILE looting the can... sorry, but it is possible.

I asked to some people who plays dayz on windows 10 and the issue seems to not be present on their computer. It may be caused by windows 7.
The memory leak seems to be caused by the assets not being removed from the memory when they arent used.

You are indeed correct that the raise arms feature does not work correctly when any custom key is used and also in the "DayZ" preset which uses the spacebar to raise the arms. This particular preset is dated and is going to be removed in the future. We suggest that you use the "DayZNew" preset which uses the right mouse button to raise the characters arms as that one is the "default" one and does not have the issue you have described. (please let us know under this ticket in case you experience the issue even when using right mouse button). Also, the issue is going to be resolved in the future once the custom key bindings feature is finished.

Does your friend have some kind of controller connected to the computer by any chance? And if not ,can he remember the actions he did prior to the issue appearing? (Such as raising hands, crouching, eating food etc.)

Hi GEEZ. I just swapped to the default layout and have the same issue with space bar...to my surprise. I honestly thought it would work that way.

We have checked both of the accounts and it appears that the characters are no longer locked. Have you or your girlfriend experienced the character lock for more than one hour? As we are aware that such issue may occur and the system should automatically unlock the characters within hour.

This is still an issue years later in build 0.63.148115. Are there plans to fix this? The 1PP camera seems to be near the chin which leads to very restricted backwards view because you see your own body. Some of the drinking animations also then look like you're pouring the drink on top of your head because the camera is much too low.
I'm having this issue as well. Any idea when this will be fixed. I have a Corsair Void Pro RGB Wireless headset. There is no option other than USB for me and the sample rate is locked. It honestly sounds like when a sound echos it gets stuck in a loop of echoing over and over. The ambient rain sound in the ATC tower for the airfield goes haywire. CPU stops responding properly thus causing the freezing. I'll try and grab a video of the issue if that helps. Not sure how well that will pan out with the way the CPU locks up during this. In case I can't get a recording I'll include a screen grab of what my CPU Usage History looks like in Task manager. It's pretty obvious when I enter the building and everything goes wrong.

I tried stress test #35 and the issue is still happening, the memory usage keeps increasing the more i am moving, i have a theory that it may be a resources management problem since the memory usage isnt increasing while i am standing at the same position for 5 mins.
