Glad I could help you.
As I said, I don't have any problems with switching the languages with the latest main branch (1.54.133741) and development branch (1.55.133779) of the game.
Try to backup and then delete your config files
-library/documents/Arma3/Arma3.cfg
Now try again to change the language.
usually i do, but i disabled the to make sure. before the update, i had no Problems of that kind
For the time, you can use scripting commands to achieve the same text effect. The command is setTitleEffect.
Syntax: TriggerName setTitleEffect [Type,Effect,Text]
Example: AlertTrigger setTitleEffect ["TEXT", "PLAIN", "Hostiles inbound to this location!"];
Hello,
thank you for the response. However, we cannot determine what exactly caused your game to crash. It is necessary you try to run your Arma without any mods. If the crashes still happen then, please send another crashdumps.
If the crashes stop (on Arma without mods), please try to activate mods one by one until you find out which one causes the crashes.
Mods are not official content from Bohemia Interactive and it is very likely that the CTDs you are experiencing are caused by collisions between two or more mods.
Please let us know, thank you.

Hello,
please uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version), restart your computer (!) and install the package again https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 (do not use the Repair function).
I tried that before, but it looks like I didn't do a clean uninstall. Repaired it, uninstalled, and reinstalled. Everything is running fine now. Thank you.
This issue still persists on many surfaces, including railings, rocks, trees, walls, buildings, and more on all maps, including official BIS maps with no mods loaded.

If the problem is caused by a mod you are running, we are unfortunately not able to do much about that.
Please let us know, thank you.
As I stated above, we need the data you are using in the addon builder to reproduce this issue.
Please let me know what info you need (I see status was changed to "need more info").
Im unable to reproduce this. Can you please provide us with the data you are using in the addon builder? Thank you
Vote up please, and comment, so this will be on the top, otherwise it will lost as my other tickets. 4 of 19 tickets vere readed, rest are ignored.
TutSi, you are not the only one ;)
I created 74 since the release (Alpha) of ARMA3.
32 tickets are still ignored.
Good things come to those who wait... I guess
Sorry to ask, is this ACE3 related?
@ticket author: Could you place correct he title of the ticket? tollbox -> toolbox
No, i mean its feature/report you can take tool box into the hands. For now i need backpack just to take tools box.
I like that idea.
In general, you should only be able to repair something after you selected the toolbox and hold it in your hands.
Same goes for the medikit & small medipacks, grenades, mines etc.
That would minimize the context sensitive actions (mouse wheel) like the following ticket #0010726
Silence and ignorantion.....
By saying engine class animal, I mean anything with
simulation = "animal";
Yeah but even after adjusting it, it originally didn't work.
I was able to get it to work to some extent after saving the broken stuff to a .ods file and then re-opening it (that magically fixed it).
However I don't think you can make a full table with that technique :/
mismatched decimal symbols - doesnt that depend on system/user settings?
In fact, there are many errors popping up in the arma 3 rpt.
Example:
_>
13:41:56 Error Max array size would be reached. Current size: 1000000, wanted size: 1000005.
13:41:56 File A3\functions_f_curator\Curator\fn_exportCuratorCostTable.sqf, line 395
13:41:56 Error in expression <%2 = [%1",_qt,_x,_row];
{
_text = _text + format ["&I%1",_x];
} foreach _rows;
Both can't make full table with empty addon filter (1st argument).
ODS version is being screwed with mismatching decimal symbol ("." or ",") in Windows.
GSheet is being screwed with excessive quotation marks.
Note this repro example will also reproduce the OutOfMemoryException.
Doesn't work with google spreadsheet, excel 2010 or latest OpenOffice calc
Got the same issue happening on windows 2012 dedicated server. 1.54, latest malloc file released by dev, 10-20 people online get between 10 minutes and 2 hours playtime at best.
Only started happening in last 2 days, been working fine since 23rd December before then.
same issue here http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=27150 vote me up
@moosemilker obviously you haven't read any of the comments I've made.
The problem is within the binaries itself. Not the malloc.
This is why ARMA 3 servers are not crashing under linux.
This will more than likely not get a fix until mid to late January at the earliest.
Go public via Twitter. Maybe we can bring more visibility to these issues there. https://twitter.com/masteraaronreed/status/682062087183441921
@stargatefreak - I read your notes... Your notes are useful, but not the only notes that matter. The OutOfMemoryException I wrote about on 2015-12-26 is different than the Access Violation I originally described when I opened this issue, but just as game breaking. No need to write snarky comments, which is easy to do across the internet (not face to face). Thanks.
I experimented with many tbbmalloc.dlls as well, and arrived at the same result.
For anyone reading this, BattlEye and RDP have nothing to do with Arma crashing.
I have a new running theory the OutOfMemoryException that also sometimes occurs could be related to using RDP on the target game server and/or running DART.EXE to manage the game. I have seen these error happen after the server has been running for a long time and one of those services are used.
This issue is definitely related to Arma's ability to store date into memory in a windows environment as Linux has no issues.
yes. I had tried every single malloc available. Default and custom
Uploaded crashes with performance v6 (Crash_withV6.rar).
@stargatefreak - In Windows, do you use a custom '-malloc=' launch parameter?
Hey Everyone.
I have been doing quite a bit of testing with this issue, and so everyone is aware I host OzzyGaming.com Altis Life server. We have been plagued with these crashes. On average from 10 minutes to an hour at best.
I have done quite abit of research into what has been happening and One thing stands out, Windows.
As such I wanted to confirm my findings by setting up a server hosted under linux. So I purchased a VPS with Ubuntu pre-installed and installed my server on that. And the results were shocking to say the least.
Not one crash at all. Desync just as you'd expect from a low grade VPS server but that server survived without a crash for upto 7 hours where it was restarted normally.
This issue has been around since late July. Not sure why but there was evidence of this issue back then. So Bohemia Interactive this has something to do with the way ARMA is trying to store data to memory under a Windows Based environment.
Also anyone experiencing this issue. grab a VPS server with what you afford and or use HyperV to run ARMA under Ubuntu or other linux based OS
What are your system specifications?
Have you done all recommended steps after proceeded large updates (verify integrity of game cache & defrag your game hdd)?
Problem resolved! I just checked the cache integrity, but Steam didn't find any problems!
Then I launched the game again and it started working again perfectly!
Thank you @Koala for your reminder
My guess is that it is a performance choice to disable all lights during the day. Especially dynamic lights eat a lot of processing power.
I would be surprised if dynamic lights were cast even during daytime before, when we could use that option regardless of time of day.
Removing action menu show condition is not the same as disabling feature completely. It was working correctly before.
I think its to make the action menu less cluttered
and another set of crashlogs...
crashlogs_performance_v11.zip
Update to everyone still having issues.
Yes we are still crashing, this is because BI hasn't fixed their Windows Binaries.
I have now been running my server under Ubuntu and I have not had one crash.
Anyone having this problem please can someone please second my results.
changing the whole server from windows to linux just for arma3 is no solution...
also you cant compare arma on windows with arma on linux...
no one doubts that the update has fucked it up... no need to say that 100 times again...
