Player moves in opposite direction than intended when pressed up against an object.
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Starting with the 1.54 update, when pressed up against an object (tree, rock, building, low rock wall, etc) while attempting to sidestep/strafe, the character will sometimes move in the opposite direction than intended and clip into the object to some degree, sometimes passing completely through it. Bug is more likely to occur while crouched. The bug may occur when the hitboxes for the player and object overlap. This bug has occurred on every map tested, including Altis and Stratis; but seems most likely to occur with the fallen trees on the Schwemlitz map, to the point where it is reproducible on nearly every attempt. Steps to reproduce will focus on Schwemlitz due to this. Bug does not seem to occur when pressed up against a vehicle.

Additional Information

Here are some gifs that demonstrate the issue:

Attempting to sidestep to the right while using a fallen tree as cover. Note the character's legs animating as though he is running to the right even as he moves left. The "D" button on keyboard is held down for the entirety of gif.

Attempting to sidestep left and then walk backward causes character to strafe right and then walk forward, entirely clipping through the log.

Running up to a tree and then pressing "D" on keyboard with intent to sidestep out of cover to the right. Character initially moves left instead of right; once clear of the tree, movement returns to normal and character begins correctly sidestepping to the right.

Approaching rock and then attempting to sidestep to the right. Character moves left until clear of the rock, movement then returns to normal and character strafes right.
