My friend who plays with me also had the same issue. I told him what I did and it fixed the issue only this time he did not restart Steam. So it was the mod that became unavailable from the Workshop that caused the issue.

Arma 3 Activity
May 10 2016
Resolved with the ticket author in a Steam community discussion. The profile file was partially overwritten with some (probably Steam config).
Make sure the Asylum life is does not require mods to join.
for me
No Mods Required
Sorry for not responding quickly Adam, but I just tried and all life servers have the same problem
ty bis
the Error still occurs
I will post a picture of the folder it is empty. I will delete the folder itself now.
OK, then could you please select the "Arma 3 Launcher" folder, right-click on it -> Properties -> Security tab a check that your user name is in the list and that if you select it you have all permissions in a list below (Full control, Modify,... all have a check mark in an Allow column).
It cannot be empty - if you launched game before, you must game files inside. Check DIRECTLY AND CARREFUL ADRESS and delete problematic files
The Folder is Empty
Then try to delete the "Presets" folder itself.
Hello,
you should be able to solve this by deleting file "arma3.defaultpreset2" in a folder "C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Launcher\Presets\".
The code you have attached does not work. Could you please check again if the code was copy pasted correctly? Thanks.
as designed.
Explanation:
Entrance doors usually open outside (tradition based on making it harder to break in)
The door frame is modeled accordingly so it would make no sense to open through the door frame
The only issue is the direction of stairs but changing that would be a drastic change that would affect the whole map
Thank you for understanding!
+1
Hello there, me again. The above screenshot shows the error with 2 mods loaded, and yes this error was appearing from the beginning even when those mods were not installed.
I attached another 2 screenshots. (1) Validation of ArmA 3 Dedicated server installation & ArmA 3 server directory (2) error (mods are completely removed including a mpmission file).
Again, the issue was occurring after the first installation but the server is still "usable" but this issue makes it very hard and annoying to use the server, I have also tried to remove ArmA 3 server directory and reinstall it completely but the issue still persists.
Any suggestions are welcome,
thanks in advance!
Okay, no replay in a few months.
Since I tend to be the nice guy here's a summary of the "solution":
On latest A3 build (as of now 1.54) with Debian 8.x (64-bit) install these packages: libtbb2, lib32gcc1, lib32stdc++6 & libtbb2:i386
Have fun!
Usage of owner is for server executed scripting. The server is the only one that can return a proper owner id for the player (s). Try it in a server executed script and add a diag_log line to produce good working result
As was mentioned before, works only on server (think it even has a fancy serverExec icon on BIKI page)
On server machine, returns the ID of the client where the object is local. Otherwise returns 0.
You can use it on the server only.
UREAL GUYS!!!!
IT IS WORKING!
for some reason it must have disabled or disconnected my GPU, thank you so much for the support and the quick and efficient help!
you guys are awesome!!
is there any way I can give you a rating or feedback, because this was by far my best troubleshooting experience ever!!!
thankyou so much!
You can download NVIDIA drivers here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers
I would recommend getting Nvidia Geforce experience as it automatically checks for new drivers. (When you open the link its titled as Automatic Driver Updates)
and is the GPU that I am running suffice for playing ARMA3?
what driver would you recommend?
my computer currently has directx 11
Yes, you can download drivers completely for free from manufacturers website.
I have a new laptop, and the GPU on it is a NVIDIA GeForce 940M.
I haven't used anything else, and it doesn't make sense that its not working if I was playing ARMA 3 last night perfectly fine.
can I update these online or do I need to purchase from a shop?
I may not have directx, I will have a look now
I'll reassign this to Adam, he will be able to help you with that error more that me.
thankyou
Hello, try updating your GPU and Integrated card (if you have one) drivers. Also install latest version of directx.
it has worked, but now when I click on play it comes up with a new window with a red 'X' saying:
"cannot create DX11 device:
Adapter (NVIDIA GeForce 940M ) Fullscreen Resolution 1366x768, format R8G8B8A8_UNORM, refresh 60 Hz Error DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED
last night I was playing ARMA 3 and everything was fine but now this is happening
and after I exited out of this window, another popped up saying:
"Arma 3 has quit in unsual manner. Info:
Exit code: 0x00000001/1
Time running: ~ 00:05:14.4

Hello,
as Rexon said, try repeatedly verify integrity of game cache. If Steam reports that it detected 1 or more missing files and repairs them, and the message is show again, an antivirus may be the cause as they tend to delete the game executable as it's downloaded.
// I'll remove the first post to make this thread shorter as it contains same content as an attached file
Well, go to Steam, right click on Arma 3 -> Properties -> Local Files -> and then check game files or something like this
Should be fixed after the next update. Please test it afterwards and let me know. Thank you!
In Arma3Update150RC - Thank you. Problem solved. The ticket can be closed.
Valve fixed some issues regarding performance drops during steam workshop downloads. Try downloading the newest Steam Beta update and see if that fixes the issue.
OK, problem comes from Steam interface.
Even if your parameters are set to "allow download during gameplay" unchecked (disabled), this interface is trying to download something after launching (and playing) a MP subscribed mission. Then, mission is downloaded, but Steam interface is now and definitely, tilting X time per second to "in queue" and "starting".
If you leave the MP mission, this inteface continues this false download.
You can stop, restart PC, windowns then Arma,... this interface still remembers the fact it's trying to download something.
This is a "workshop content", network at idle, disk also, 0 bytes/0 bytes but Arma is totally impacted as the game pauses on/off each seconds (video)
The only solution seems to be: quit Arma, launcher, then avoid anything to download thru Steam!
So, did you change something in Steam interface?
Is there a way to re-install steam without losing or reinstalling Arma?
It takes 15 hours for me when I reload Arma (without addon)!
Thanks, Steam beta resolved this bug. Please consider as closed.

Try removing deleteVehicle / waitUntil if you're using a clean-up at the end of the script.
Yes I'm using waitUntil with clean-up. Problem resolved. How do we check to see if the script completed without the vehicle being destroyed though? Be nice to have a clean up script at end of function.
Thank you for the resolution.
Yup. Not working on dev either.
Hi there. Are you using a waitUntil command at the end of the script to delete the vehicle?
It is, unfortunately.
The playback is working - but if the unit is destroyed, it is deleted and no damage model is left. Hopefully the kind devs will assign and fix soon, as it appeared with the 1.48 update.
Is this broken? :(
Not working on stable. Dunno about dev.
Can confirm. This isn't working: vehicle is vanishing into thin air. It worked before release.
This is a real problem, combined with random spoofed ip and random source its really hard to block. You should use a cache system. A 4mbps can down a 1gpgs server protected with ovh ddos pro protection.
