i get to the launcher and hit play it just loads halfway then gives me this error message:
File C:\Users\Vincent\Documents\Arma 3\Vincent.Arma3Profile, Line 0: '.': '<' encountered instead of '='
i hit "OK" and then another error message appears telling me Arma 3 has quit in an unusual manner. {F26694}
I'm not sure how or why it happened but how it happened to me is, I clicked on the Arma 3 shortcut on my desktop then the launcher came up like normal. then i clicked on play like i always do with no mods enabled and the loading screen came up. It started to load normally but it then stopped on loading profile options. it then gave me that error message and i was forced to quit.
What I've tried is listed below...
-reinstalled the game
-restarted my computer
-deleted all addons from the steam workshop including maps, mods, and scenarios
-I've deleted the Arma config file
Resolved with the ticket author in a Steam community discussion. The profile file was partially overwritten with some (probably Steam config).
