How about we have them in game simply for the sake of immersion. I don't want to get stuck on a game island that feels sterile. Are we to have nothing to make the game world feel lived in. To feel like war and the military are all that exist. Come on guys in any game it is the little details that sell the illusion. Besides the devs already have the flight physics in place a glider model cant be that hard or resource demanding to make. So its just some animations and a little coding. Besides if bohemia were smart they would see the potential in making their game engine capable of allowing for many different game types to modders. Dayz is not a mill sim but has had a lot of success. It cant be the only non milsim game type that works well in this engine and every now and then its nice to take a break from playing soldier.

More stuff for the cpu to calculate = lower performance maybe not much for some but it all makes a difference to those of us with less than stellar pc's. Nice thought but there are a lot of other things that I personally would like to see as well.

Ai has always be stupid like this unfortunately. Regardless of where you are in formation the ai should adhere to basic fire discipline.

Ok tested at several other locations and does not happen. Only at camp Maxwell. May have something to do with path finding around defenses at camp Barriers wire etc.

More than just waypoint descriptions etc. May be more of like that found in game but with some explained examples.

I hope BIS take note of some of the excellent work done by the community in regards to the AI eg Hetman, Zorilia and Robalo to name a fiew. So many of the mentioned issues have already been encountered in ARMA2 and solved by the community. To simply ignore it and turn out AI with all the same problems would be very sad. However having said that i have faith that by final release it will be much better. :)

I placed a Hunter down and had a driver take me on a sightseeing tour by simply asking him to move to position on the other side of the map. For a while he stuck to the roads and all was good however a lot of off road quickly saw us raming over rocks and clipping straight through trees. On the second trip we tried to go through Agia Marina comming in from the north on the winding road down into town we went straight over the armco barrier and into the house on the other side :) can also confirm that they will not cross bridges.
on another note i get some horrible stuttering in towns in vehicles but this is probably due to my only just meeting the low end sys specs.

This is fairly high up on the voted list yet not a word from the Dev's. Doesn't bode well i fear.

@Drathuu Exactly. Yes it would be nice to have a fully functional 3D editor but i would defiantly settle for a simple reposition tool.

would have taken days not hours. Even with the required run-around to get them into the 2d editor its worth it. Even if none of it shows on the map which is really annoying :P

@rogerx If anything it should at least help to make the devs aware that the community or at least a large/vocal section of the community see this as a very important issue. Don't forget the same issues of performance have been around a long time and have never really been addressed satisfactorily.

PS please don't embark on a you're just a hate filled troll rant this is my opinion and it is shared by many and we all love the game (some of us to the determent of our personal lives) ;)

They are gone because you dared to voice your opinion I fear. Rather than face peoples concerns and valid opinions they will just claim that it is inflammatory and remove them. Its what happens when people are unwilling to accept that some may disagree with them on an issue that they are unable to handle. It is a sad state of affairs that this kind of blatant censorship is being used here. Like it or not you can not please everyone all the time so they should just accept it and allow people to voice their opinions. This will not happen however. What will happen is this and any other dissenting posts will be cleaned away and we will be left with the sanitary cleanliness of fanboy heaven.
