At least in the mod, non agro'd zombies had a very slight "Pull" to survivors even if they didn't see them,
For example, if you hid for an extended period of time, the zombies would slowly "Gravitate" to your position. They wouldn't RUSH you, but they'd ever so slightly move towards you as they wander around.
This behavior MIGHT be in the standalone, as well. Not really a bug, but this behavior should be changed once zombie AI is fixed up.

Happened to me twice now. Second time I got "Stuck" on the please wait loading screen, and nothing happened. Once I exited and tried another server, I was a fresh spawn.
Yep. Even fists make bullet sounds. I think it's just placeholder sounds that will be changed in updates.
Confirmed. Doors and ladders are a big trouble spot for me. It's hard to climb DOWN a ladder from a ledge without your survivors just jumping off and dying, and doors can sometimes hit and kill you, like in the mod.
Geometry is very glitchy. Proning around rocks can kill you. (I assume you're taking damage from colliding with the rock, and proning across it makes the game think you're taking fall damage from shifting around on it.)

If you watch this video, you'll discover that your actual health (Not blood) leads to a blurry screen.
Saline bags/blood bags may restore blood, but the ONLY way to restore health is over time by natural regeneration. (You'll have a healing or healthy tag in your inventory by your character.)
To regenerate health and blood, watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwNgTnj9hBE
You'll discover that to get the "Healing/healthy" status, you must eat and drink constantly. AS outlined in the video, your body can hold a very large amount of food, and a decent amount of water (The Hungry status only appears at 6% of your maximum capacity! That's a EXTREMELY large amount of space going to waste! Water doesn't have as high as a capacity, but the thirsty messages only appear at 50 percent, so you still should drink and eat everything you find. If you find a water pump, mash the F button to drink from it constantly until you get a message your stomach is full. (The stomach stat is a different stat, it's NOT related to being hungry but how full your actual stomach is. Think of it as a "Limiter")
Once your "Energy" and "Water" stats are high up (The video gives approximate values, it's pretty high) for around 20 minutes, you'll see the healing/healthy status.
Once you have this status, your body will regenerate blood, and also you'll regenerate your health, causing the blurriness to go away. There are two different speeds of regeneration depending on how well fed/hydrated you are.
The blurriness is not a bug. I believe the blurriness going away when you go to video settings is an actual bug, however.
Not really a bug. Watch this guide. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVGxHTXbaoo
The black and white screen is from blood loss, while BLURRINESS is from your "Health" stat.
Blood bags or saline IV's may fill up your blood value, but your health stat may ONLY be increased from natural regeneration. You will know if you're regenerating if you see a "Healing" or "Healthy" status in your inventory.
If you watch both videos from the author, you'll learn that regeneration ONLY occurs if you are well fed and hydrated. (Really well fed/hydrated, continue to eat and drink even if you don't see the "Hungry" or "Thirsty" tag. You can hold a MONSTEROUS amount of food in you, and the values to begin healing are rather high)
I think the only bug is going to settings "Resetting" the blurriness.
Can you record this and upload it? Very creepy. There's no sound AFAIK to notify if your thirsty or hungry. Maybe you have a virus?

I found these two videos EXTREMELY helpful.
You'll learn how your stats work. While blood is related to color saturation, you also have a hidden "health value" this determines blurriness.
The ONLY way to recover health is via natural regeneration, by eating and drinking a lot. Watch both videos and you'll understand.
The blurriness is not a bug.
Confirmed. I tested it out on an empty server, and was able to reboot it. This definitely should be made private. Needs to be patched.

I found these two videos EXTREMELY useful.
You'll discover that while blood loss triggers black and white, you also have a hidden "health" value.
Low health triggers blurriness. The second video outlines that the only way to recover health is by natural regeneration. You have to eat and drink ALOT to get and maintain the healing/healthy status. The first video gives more details about regeneration, and how your stats work.
I agree the zombie detection range is iffy.
I assume the problem is the line of sight system being slightly "Chance" based.
I am not sure if it was always chance based, or if it was implemented in a recent update. I think I read it was chance based.
For example, (These numbers are made up) a zombie from lets say 50 feet away has a 5 percent chance to detect you every second depending on lighting, stance, etc. A zombie from 5 feet away has a 80 percent chance to detect you every second.
Because of that 5 percent chance, it is possible for a zombie to detect you, in the dark, from 50 feet away. This explains why sometimes a zombie so far away sees you yet one nearby doesn't seem to notice dispite being closer to the player.
EDIT: I also found this video, credit goes to WOBO.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLkYUvMtJxQ 8:05
According to WOBO, the "Respawned" zombies that appear after bieng killed have different AI mechanics then the "Normal" zombies that appear on server bootup, with MUCH farther vision. This might explain the weird "Super Vision" behavior.
I think I saw something similar happen today. I shot someone at NWAF, RIGHT after they die, like a few seconds, the server reboots. I join a different one, and my ammo I used up shooting the guy is back, and I was healed. I assume what happened was the guy rebooted to the server to prevent himself from dying. What a wimp.
The hunger and thirst levels are fine.
You're not drinking or eating enough. "Thirsty" only appears when you are about halfway on thirst.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwNgTnj9hBE This video is extremely helpful. You can hold quite a bit of water and a MONSTEROUS amount of food in you. (Seriously, "hungry" only appears at around 6 percent capacity)
You need to drink an eat more. If you find a well, go up to it, and mash the F button until you get a message that "My stomach feels stuffed" etc. Each time you drink from the well, you drink a small amount, so mash that button as fast and hard as you can. You'll fill up your entire stomach with water and be able to last several hours before getting thirsty again. For food, eat everything you come across to take advantage of your "Energy" (Hunger) capacity.
When you start the game, your character spawns "thirsty", according to the video, that means you spawn at around half of your water capacity. When you drink a soda or something, you might be filling your water up to around 60 percent, making the thirsty status go away, soon it'll fall back to 50 and you'll be thirsty again. I cannot stress this enough, eat as much as you can find and drink plenty.
In my opinion, the system is fine. It's a little confusing at first, and it's easy to misunderstand it. The video I linked to explains all of your stats and how they work.
Nvidia 560ti video card, and i7-3820 processer user, on windows 7 64 bit.
Performence is ok (but not 60fps) in forests, but in major cities I'm getting FPS in the single digit zone.
I've had it happen a few times.
I know animals (not sure if still do) used to made zombie groans.
The weird "Cut off zombie sound" might be a zombie stuck underneth the map geometry somehow. Could be related to the "invisible zombie" glitch. (They might not be invisible, but just underneth the map and attacking the player's feet.)
I can confirm in the current stable build I've heard pop cans opening and the item splitting sound.
Happened to me twice now. Second time I got "Stuck" on the please wait loading screen, and nothing happened. Once I exited and tried another server, I was a fresh spawn.
Can confirm zombies are still iffy. I'd be perfectly fine with them clipping through the doors (Just have the door automaticly open so it looks like they're crashing through it, or they take a few seconds to crash through the door, etc.) but they also clip through walls and floors (Punched a zombie, fell through floor into basement, etc.)
A bit of messing around, and I discovered if your character has the whitest skin color, the gloves turn them a tiny bit darker when worn.
apparently the gloves set the entire arms texture or something.
