Disagree. the recoil is pretty easy to control now. unless you go mad ass rambo on full auto. controlled shots and its all pretty regualr and the weapon does have a return - just not right to the same spot it started from. a little work and effort is required.

do you have muscle memory with your mouse? compensating for the recoil really isnt that hard but its expected that your avatar has better muscle memory than you? come on now, mouse is easier than rifle to control. nothing more imertion breaking than having weapon mechanically return to exact spot it started from. do you want the game to do all the work for you?

best solution though would be implmentation of weapon rests and bipods.

a big part of the percieved weapon recoil is that freeaim is off in settings. set it to just 0.1 or the lowest possible without being off. now check recoil.

In mp i took out a squad about 400m away under cover and behind rocks by using controlled bursts. Controlled bursts are the key right now. The recoil is noticeable and took some managing. Agree though that bipods that actually provide support are the best solution for lower recoil and more control on greater distances.

Recoil in arma3 comes the closest to feeling like the real thing than any other game or previous incarnation in the series. However, because of this, a bipod that provides support and the ability to rest ones weapon on stable surfaces like in reality becomes a must.

the thing that gets me is that the sway on weapons was perfect IF you had the ability to rest them or use a bipod. PERFECT. but now the sway is toned down without bipod/resting. shame for such a shortcut. but hope its only until BIS surprise us. maybe.

it is so very important. a huge amount of shooting is done supported. i really hope they do this as it's a great fit for the amazing places they've already taken arma3.
