Crouch run is too fast
New, WishlistPublic

Description

The difference between running while standing up and running while crouched is too small. you run like olympic long distance runner when in both stances with just a small change in pace.

crouched running should be a more tactical pace that enables you to move relatively quickly but in a more concealed way with lower silhoutte.

suggest half the BIS staff try running around their offices crouched vs the other half running while standing. see the difference in speed pls. try put that propotinaltey in the game pls.

its important as it makes the game feel very fast paced and arcade like.

jog 100m standing (not pushing shift). 23 seconds.

jog 100m crouched (not pushing shift). 25 seconds.

note its just two seconds difference. for a much harder and unnatural way of running.

research shows: The average man jogs at a speed of 8.3 mph, or 100m in 27 seconds, while the average woman runs at 6.5 mph, covering 100m in 34 seconds. that's without 20kg plus of gear and a rifle.

i also tested running while holding shift. 100m. 17 seconds. which makes me think the jogging speed of 23 seconds is a little fast as well.

19 seconds crouched runnign while holding shift down. waaaay too fast.id say you can never run as fast crouched as you can standing.

suggestion.
jog 100m standing shoudl take about 25s. still faster than real life.
crouch sprint 100m should take 27sec. just a bit slower than jogging.
crouch jog 100m should take 30sec or a little longer. but not be quite as fatiguing.

Have you ever tried to actually "run" while in this semi crouched shooting stance? Have you ever tried this shooting stance? No one "runs" that way at all.. in A3, they can!

They get special training for it, but I agree, running in crouch causes extreme fatigue specially if you carry a lot of stuff with you
