I think a quick workaround would be to implement some kind of LOD for light sources. Where only a certain quantity of light are rendered within a given radius to the player.

This happens anytime there are too many light sources near each other. It usually only crashes at night and affects the PS5 over the ps4 and ps4 pro leaps and bounds more. The ps5 runs DayZ better in every way except when it comes to lighting at night for some reason. Me and everyone in our server have the exact same issue no matter the server you play on. And it's any lightsource, fires, glowsticks, head torches, flash lights.

I've now been victim to players pressing themselves through the walls of the 'L shape' barrack building, so the glitch is not specific to the type of wall wall described above.

I know this isn’t a bug but this is much more important than one of the thousands of bugs plauging the potential of this game. Please fix the settings for console players and add more options like a dead zone slider or custom binds. This isn’t the only problem with the game on console and but it’s one of the many things missing that’s hindering this amazing games potential, there is no game like dayz the moments I’ve had the sheer beauty of it and terrifying encounters with bears wolves zombies and worst of all players. Please read this and make this game just as good on console as it is on PC.

Interesting. Do you play in busy servers? I tend to only play in low population ones since I got my PS5, wonder if that is a factor?

If the shelter is not building, the it is very likely your character stands too close. Please try to move your character further and the shelter should build.
