IP Address Display

Description

Im unsure why the IP Address of the server is displayed everytime the server goes down, or who thought this feature would be beneficial to console. You do not require an IP to join a console server so it makes no sense for it to be displayed. This feature actually helps people who are actively ddossing servers for fun as they dont need to do anything to obtain the ip because you literally hand it to them. I own 7 dayz servers rented through nitrado, 2 of my 7 servers have been unplayable for 5 days straight due to being constantly ddossed. IP swaps from nitrado do nothing because as soon as the server restarts they have my ip again and ddoss almost immediately. I just opened a new server 2 days ago, within the first 4 minutes of the server being opened it was being hit, due to there being a lock on it, when i restarted to open it- they grabbed the ip. Nitrado is "doing all they can" to help the situation but its extremely frustrating that im paying for a server to not play on. IP swaps would work but the simple fact that you display the address almost immediately comepletely wastes everyones time. PLEASE remove this feature, its not needed and such a pain.

Hello beesimps.
This functionality is not a bug but it is in there for a purpose.

Favoriting a server is done by favoriting the IP and the port of the server.

If server changes either of these things, then it is effectively a new different server and therefore would not be displayed in the favorites tab anymore.

We display the IP and PORT of offline favorited servers precisely so that the users can unfavorite servers they no longer want, since there is a limit on the total number of servers a user can favorite on console.

IP address and port number are not private information.
