When you running with binoculars, you can move your hands, actually it helps alot in real, but I'm not sure that in Arma 3 it helps on the same level, up voted

Hello,
the issue was related to Steam client running in offline mode; the fix has been pushed to the dev-branch this morning.
Hello,
thank you for reporting this and for the logs. It seems there's a crash while Launcher is initializing connection to the Steam. We'll investigate and fix it if possible.
Hello, we are sorry you are experiencing issues with our game.
Could you please export your game log files from the launcher?

Hi,
we have tested this on 1.52 and 1.52, but our VON worked perfectly on both versions.
We used this method:
https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Dedicated_Server#Instructions_.28Linux_o.2Fs.29
Could you attach more info? For example dxdiags of windows clients and HW specifications of your Linux server computer, server and clients rpt files?
Hello, I've done this, but this doesn't work anyway. Ive installed a testserver with default configs and it does not work too.
I uploaded the server.cfg, this may helps.
Hello, could you please try reproducing the issue without mods? Thanks.
Maybe try another malloc? check the startparameter- section in the launcher. I had this too some times but its really difficult to reproduce for me.
I´ve the same Problem... in singleplayer... with and without mod`s... after about 15-20min. framedrop to 0-3 Frames....same artefacts...
I tried other malloc, startparameter aso. nothig did really bring an solution...
(temp. check`s, memory check`s, perfomance logging... )
But.. once, it changed between updates... but the next update it started again... so I think, there is nothing to do from our side...?!
my opinon... would be cool if this annoying problem disappears... :)
Too B DEV of the version in the editor met it, on start there was a similar situation. Decrease in load of the central processing unit to 18% is observed. All the rest in norm. More often in 1-2 hours of game on the server. At the time of falling of FPS. I switch to weapon optics (or in equipment on a sight), back on appearance to open few times the card - FPS falls in 0. In a couple of minutes of these actions in a task manager of Arma3 - "doesn't answer".
Here is how it looks with FPS 4-2.

ok thanks for the Camp endurance tip.
I know I add light to the place I am editing (or just edit the mission on day time and set it to night time before playing it), but I want to add some lights to the city in my mission and in the buildings. I think those are important objects to add to a mission editor to customize the map.
For now I'll just add some lights with Zeus when playing, since they can't be saved with the editor objects.
Just press L when editing, and a massive light will be casted on the part of the terrain you're looking at.
But that's a good point, it would be cool if we could have as many objects in Eden as there is in Zeus. Because right now, we have the same objects available as in the 2D Editor, and the list was pretty incomplete. Especially the lights, and the projectors.
Btw, if you want to add a light spot, there is one by default in one of the empty groups, must be Camp Endurance I believe. Only workaround I found so far.
UPDATE This happened a couple times when playing Wasteland. I was getting shot from 1km away and got killed then the game crashed and displayed the same error
File as been uploaded, sorry for the long response

Hi,
could you please upload Launcher logs? You can get them from Launcher by opening the menu in the top right corner and clicking on "Export Launcher logs to desktop".

We're still unable to reproduce the issue. Could you please send us the logs (c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\*.rpt)? If possible please include also mission file your're trying to publish. Thank you.
This issue is still present :(
Yes, its dirrectly after pushing Steam icon. No matter i use mods or not. Second file (added few minutes later) is without mods - same error
hi, could you please upload arma log files (c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\*.rpt)? Where does the message appears? Directly in editor after you click publish mission button?
One of the recent patches added a navigation widget displayed in bottom left corner. It shows global XYZ coordinates, where X points to East, Y to North and Z up. I hope it helps.
Wow it works great thanks so much for your help you've been extremely useful I can finally play now. Thanks again.
I'm sorry, the archive is Jun2010_d3dx10_43_x86.cab and it contains d3dx10_43.dll.
Please accept my apology, it's close to midnight and I'm just an old programmer O:)
Glad to hear that it works, enjoy the game. Sorry it was that complicated.
Yes, I found it but I only see d3dx10_37.dll
Is there maybe a site that would allow me to show you what on my screen to make it easier for both of us?
Ok I also did what Adam said and it told me this. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. Then I reinstalled d3dx10_43.dl and i got this error instead 0xC000007B - STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT
Probably the best thing to do at this moment is to restore the file manually as DirectX setup being funny as always :(...
- In folder where you extracted the DirectX setup that your run earlier should be file "Mar2008_d3dx10_37_x86.cab" (note that's x86 not x64!)
- Open it and copy the file "d3dx10_43.dll" from it to "C:\Windows\SysWOW64".
(Please note that the Dependency Walker reports a different directory than SysWOW64, but that's kind of illusion done by OS.)
Hmm, I found the right folder and the closest thing I see is d3dx10_37.dll
You have downloaded a file from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 and extracted it to some folder. It contains the files of DirectX setup.
It also appears all the files with -WIN- Are the only ones that say Error opening file. The system cannot find the file specified(2)
With the excpetion of IESHIMS.DLL and OPENAL32.DLL
Ok I posted the x86 dependency walker status and I downloaded OpenAL with no problems
Hello,
those files are not really a problem as they are somewhat special. The problem is that the DirectX setup didn't reinstalled the file "d3dx10_43.dll"
Here is the full ARMA 3 report as well

Hi Alex,
could you run x86 Dependency Walker again to find out what library is causing problem this time?
Hello, The OS is unable to load a file that is required to run the game. A missing DLL may belong to the game, the OS or one of the required components (DirectX e.g.). Possible solutions:
Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
Re-install DirectX.
Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function).
Run the Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files.
Try to install OpenAL, for example from here http://support.focus-home.fr/oalinst.exe
Hello,
according to the file you've uploaded, the library that is corrupted is "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\d3dx10_43.dll". This is a DirectX library, so I'd suggest to delete that file manually and then re-install the DirectX runtime from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 . (Please note that it's important to delete the file before the re-installation, because otherwise the file may not be replaced :/)
It asked me to choose the location I wanted to place the extracted files so I chose C:\Windows\SysWOW64
But it said the folder is invalid. Please make sure the folder exists and is writable
I'm sorry, I've sent you the wrong link; the one I wanted to sent you seems to be dead at moment. But that doesn't matter as you can use the file you have downloaded.
Just extract the files to a new folder, for example on your desktop. In that folder there will be a DirectX installer (DXSETUP.exe), so run that.
Ok I did what you said then ran ARMA and got this error instead
0xC0000135 - STATUS_DLL_NOT_FOUND
Ok I uploaded it
