Would like to see this feature so much!
And if BI could make a proper hud for the MH-6 and AH-6...
It would be a more valid option to delete the Slammer UP from the game and instead mount a 105mm cannon on the Marshall chassis.
Since tomorrow we will get the missing variant of the Slammer (yay!, source: http://dev.arma3.com/sitrep-00046), could you guys be so kind to gift us, maybe not tomorrow nor the next month, the missing vehicles / weapons?
Any news?
Although it's true that rabbits aren't fast enough, that's the last of the problems.
Could we see the new fire implemented in the 1.14 update?
Any news on this?
Any updates or news on this? Would be cool to see the new fire on the amazing Zeus mode!
Status: assigned. Still nothing has been changed. good job
As of the latest patch, 1.14 (relased on 20/03), this issue is still present.
I just wanted to try the new jets, so I opened the editor, created the jet in the airport, a pair of enemy tanks and previewed the result. In the bottom right corner, a watermark saying Development Branch 1.14.xxx is present.
@AD2001 Of course I trust you. I check the Dev changelog everyday to see if they added, tweaked something important.
Don't get me wrong from my posts: for me smoothness comes first than eye candy but you can't deny that issues like these are not important as well.
They are trying to optimize the game, to edit useless calculation but hey, the game is still bad optimized. In the general topic a guy even said that the new dev update looked more slugghis than the stable branch.
^
Only one simple question: you are stating that ArmA III is well optimized, aren't you?
They like to ignore basic features like these, which are implemented in other games since 2005. If you look closely, they only care to fix crash and performance issues. The funny thing is the game is very badly optimized.
Can be marked as "Resolved" in 27/01 114607 exe.
Copy!
Still not fixed in build 114544.
The relative changelog claims:
"Repaired PCML reticle"

2 years and 3 months and still not fixed right? Would take 5 minutes to fix it... what a shame.
Any updates on this issue? It's almost unplayable while flying with the jet because of this misaligning problem. It would be even better to remove the Game cross and use only the Jet HUD, aka the green one.
Some times I don't understand why BIS leave such stupid bugs like these.
Upvoted.
The redesigned sound engine advertisement on http://www.arma3.com/features/engine made me laugh! Why the devs are so lazy?
It shouldn't be hard at all to cut frequencies when the distance from the player is known... 100% laziness from BI.
Holy crap 6 months and this wasn't still fixed?
How could an explosive projectile explode more than one time? Crap.
This does not apply to KE penetrator, though.
Upvoted.
Reviewed and ignored, right? Just like all the other graphics related feedbacks, after all...
For god's sake, I damn hate the Arma generic white hud OVER the proper HUD of the A-143 buzzard, the independent's jet.
+1
When will BI implement shadow map over stencil shadows? This would increase the performance by at least some 10% because the shadows will be handled by the graphics card and not by the processor.
They said they acknowledged the problem, still no solution after 6 months.
Moreover, the game looks like a 2005 directx 9 game.
Still waiting.
That would be really amazing!
Black textures can't stand a game like ArmA III!

Is this bug still a thing?
Why does BI only care about launcher fixes and things like these and doesn't consider worthy cosmetic things like these? The game has the graphics of a 2000-2005 game! What a JOKE.
Something new on this?
This is assigned but what did they actually changed?
As NordKindchen said they only tweaked the KE penetrators effects, which still looks awful.
Disappointing.
Indeed, just what I said.
I finally understood why ArmA III still looks like it is in alpha stage:
Bohemia Interactive think: Hey, we've got the modding support in our game, which is a major feature, so every bug we leave in the game for lazyness will be fixed by some modder. For example, see Blastcore A3 or JSRS.
So they shift the hard work to somebody else, the modders.
This is indeed very important. I think that if the devs would like to implement this modernization, they should do this way (similar to what Astaroth said):
-When the vehicle is not damaged it should use the automatic rangefinder, ballistic computer, etc...
-If the "Instrument" region of the vehicle is damaged, also the computer which does the calculations will get damaged and the gunner should use the manual zeroing.
Another important feature:
-Modern tanks, APC and similar vehicles ALREADY have a "Laser Warning Receiver", which detects the direction of laser emissions, so why they shouldn't have this in 2035?
