Definitely necessary. Whatever the method is, I think we players should have a much more accessible mechanism to access this information and be able to report it/access a report directly from the game. The times I've found myself in situations that involved cheaters (and after about 10k hours in the game I know that even strange deaths don't involve cheats in DayZ, so I'm talking about obvious situations ), I never noticed an intuitive and accessible method to report - that's why I never did it, I just ended up staying away from the public servers.
