Did your game crash when you run it from Steam Library? There are no crash dumps in RunInLibrary.rar. Can you try it again please?

ASRock exTreme Tuner could be part of problem, try to turn it off and run game without it.

Looks like that your game has problem with locating a running instance of Steam. Try to run Steam as Administrator, if it wont help try to reinstall Steam. It also can be caused by non standard version of Windows or some other software that you are running in your PC.

Current zombie status:

1. Zombie is ignoring player when hes approaching from behind - known issue, devs working on it
2. Only limited amount of zombies can be aggroed on player at one time - its designed this way for now
3. Zombie is attacking disconnected player - known issue, devs working on it
4. Zombie reactions are slowed by server performance issues - known issue, devs working on it
5. Zombies gets stuck inside of buildings - known issue, devs working on it
6. Zombies can push player through walls - known issue, devs working on it

Always make sure that you havent set any filters. Also for being able to see all servers set your Max and Min ping to 0.

@Magnet: In fact that bug is duplicate of this, because this is the first issue related to thirst/hunger.

So problem is that you are dont see any servers in server browser, or that you just cant join them? If it is second case, does any error message show up?

Try to verify integrity of your game data.
Open Steam -> Library -> right click on DayZ -> Properties -> Local files -> press Verify integrity of game cache

After you send them, delete whole "dta" folder in "R:\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\" and download dta.rar from https://www.dropbox.com/s/a4shg2envs0tjjp/dta.rar and replace your deleted "dta" folder with it.

Open Steam -> Library -> right click on DayZ -> Properties -> General -> Set launch options -> and write here: -disableShaderGeneration
Then try to run the game.

There is problem with generating of shaders, that can be caused by multiple things:

1. If you have active some mods.
2. If your data are corrupted.
3. If your drivers are outdated (or if you are using beta drivers)
4. If you are using any 3rd party technology like Oculus rift or similar things.
5. If you dont run Steam as Administrator.

I am sorry to tell you this guys but this problem is in Steam.
We use the Steamworks server browser. So if the server browser does not show anything - make sure your ping filter is set to 0, and you are actively logged into Steam. If the problem still persists please contact Steam support.

Check your Filters settings. Delete all text from Host and Mission, set ping and Max/Min players to 0.

Zombie can also hear you and smell you. So it can happen that it will aggro on you across buildings or other objects.
