Seems to be fixed for me with dev-version 1.03.110511, played a few hours early in the morning. Or could this be just me being lucky? But i had the issue with 1.02 before too.

Hope this gets fixed asap, there's no point in playing multiplayer in its current state.
You were just lucky, there is dump for 110511 crashing.
It looks like happen more often when server with "war" mission has more than ~ 30 players.
Also in "life" missions it wont happen so often, so maybe something with explosions or airunits? (just a wild guess).
Watching this ticket like a hawk.. cannot wait for the fix to go live.
Note that the development branch update is not considered automatically a hotfix.

But why not be prepared for it?

In my case, it DOES make a difference if it takes a few days to fix this. Especially since this weekend was my weekend off, planned to be my "Arma3 weekend",noone at home, bought a bottle of single malt, and then this amateur patch BS happens.

Indeed, it's weekend. I know how bad some of the customers feel about this, but it's weekend. I'm sure everything will be back on track tomorrow (if they can't fix it fast, they will most likely downgrade the "stable" to an older version).
Like Fireball said it, I don't understand why they released a "stable" version (Arma 3 stable version is an oxymoron...;) ) on friday. What's even more puzzling is that why didn't they test it in the dev branch first and only after it has been verified it's not as fubar as it is now, only then upgrade the stable branch.
Oh well, bad decisions are decisions nevertheless. :)
I have noticed that when I reduce the view distance and object distance the crashing seems way more infrequent. With the view distance on high, it happens very regularly. However decreasing the view distance doesnt outright solve the issue, crashing still occurs, and when it does, its usually about half the server at the same time.
Extremely annoying to say the least.
Geez, give the guys some rest until Monday.
That said "assigned" means that it's being looked at by a developer (usually ASAP), which is - in fact - stronger than a mere acknowledgement.
But I hope that teaches BI about releasing patches on a Friday.
@Fireball: After playing Arma, Arma2 and now Arma3 i was already very happy how stable the alpha/beta was. so in my case i don´t care if it takes a few days more of patience. Especially since it was a weekend when the issue occured.
We can only assume he hasn't even looked at it yet because the ticket hasn't been acknowledged..

in this case 10 out of 16 players on the server got a CtD, all with the PhysX3_x86.dll error in the event log.
yeah! you right! I dont understand why not test patch before put in on the realise! Maybe they all is now sitting at home becouse is saturday? i pay 50eUR for that i sit home and watch how game crash all time!
Today balance by now: SEVEN PhysX3_x86.dll crashes in a row, each occured after 5-20min play. Onece it crashed after 2min after joning a server while I was simply standing in the base and I was turning to the right and left while changing the video settings (shadow settings).
I am just installing ARMA 2 (yes downgrading!) as the new 50 EUR Arma3 is not playable.
Have to push an emergency fix, this is going to throw people into an outrage! Thanks for all the hard work devs!
Same here, after update the game crashes every 30+/- minutes. SO DAMN ANNOYING! Get your act together and STOP releasing updates that are not ready (like the game itself!)

may they do not have patch tester manager, on BI. That is proplem they didnt test patch like others opponents in game industry!!!
ThaNeo, I changed PhysX from GPU to CPU last night and nothing changed. I still crashed regularly.
Tried all kinds of settings regarding Physix. But they all resulted in the same CTD.
Same here, strange things I noticed:
- Happens when a vehicule takes damage
- Affect one side (the one which vehicule gets damage) more than the other
arma3 is not using physx2 which comes with nvidia display drivers, so it has no effect what you set in nvidia control panel for physx.
have someone played around with the Physx settings in the Nvdia control panel? (automatic, GPU, CPU?) I heared about that arma can only compute Physx by CPU because of its own library

I am second to this poster. I can confirm, my fresh install Arma3 crashes every 10-30min! Not like Arma2 performed.
Happens also with battleye disabled.
@chubbers, I believe "steam ticket error" is a _result_ of client CTD because physx3, not a issue itself. Server doesn't know why client DC and maybe steam backend just timeouts and reports to server.
I'm a new ArmA player as of releas date Sept 12th, and I am getting these crashes as well. It seems random 5-10 min or 30+ min. But exactly as described above.
To be released with this level of bugs is bad for business. Due to theses things, at this stage of the game, I wouldn't recommend to a friend to buy this game.

Having the same issues. CTD after a few minutes playing wasteland. Was stable untill the 1.02 patch. Had five crashes in two hours. Mostly concerning the Physix3x_x86.dll. Hope you guys give us a solution. Uploaded the dmp-files.
Could be coincidence but appears to be related to when an explosion happens in game, our server is invade and annex and just started getting this error since the patch.
In the logs its shows some dc as battleye data corrupt and some as steam ticket and not everyone on the server crashes but a large proportion.
Dev 1.03.110466 version crashes too.
True, I also crash +/- every 30 minutes, complete freeze and return to desktop. Steam downloaded the patch this morning.
Now it was under 5 minutes gameplay for today and CTD with PhysX3 error.
Ill keep uploading these dumps, hopefully you will find something.

In Singleplayer everything works fine ;) but in multiplayer I get every 5-10 minutes a game crash
Crashing in Wasteland servers, CTI Missions and player hosted coop missions too.

To be clear for my own benefit, we (my group and myself) have noticed that 90 seconds from the turn of the hour everyone is kicked off the game. Is this the issue you guys are having as well?

The game is unplayable in Multiplayer now after the latest Patch. :(
Our server goes from 70 players down to 20 in a second as people CTD.
Happens to me also while flying chopper, nobody else near me and suddenly in midair CTD physx3 error. Been trying to change almost every single settings in game without help.
Happens while driving with ATV or walking on grass, seems to be totally random.
Its aroud 10-15 minutes gameplay and then CTD. Totally broken. Uploaded 5 dumps.
@ Soppa - there is a Steam ticket issue that's kicking a bunch of players, but I do not believe it's the same problem as the physx3 error. I have been in servers where people are getting kicked by the buttload from steam ticket issues, but the physx3 error is happening to people randomly.

I got the same thing. Game freezes, goes black - I do CTRL+ALT+DEL and I notice arma3.exe memory usage continues to skyrocket until finally get "arma 3 has stopped working" error message.
I am sorry to say that, but same on our server. most clients will lose connection or kick to desktop every 10-30 Minutes.

BTW, you can join your friends through Steam.
It will be difficult to distinguish who is hurt and whos not. Could be not so realistic but is helpful in gameplay considerations. Sorry but downvoted.
I advise trying this instead.
- Don't name your player 'player'
- your argument is a vehicle not a group. Try "Player hcSetGroup [group tank]"
Mass closing ancient tickets with no activity this year; assume fixed or too trivial etc.
If this issue is still relevant in current dev build, please create a new ticket referencing this one and request for it to be re-opened.
Do you have this issue in all screen mods(fullscreen, fullscreen window, window)?
Can you try kill all unnecessary applications before start of Arma III?

Game will switch to Desktop only in Fullscreen mode, Windowed doesn't seems to be affected. I also turned all background processes off and let just the important ones (Steam, Arma 3 and nVidia driver app). Problem is still actual though.
Also annoying if your trying to get an AI team mate to pick up a rocket launcher and all he will look at is their rifle.

You just have to look the body. Standing on the body doesn't change anything...
I have made a ticket about that in the beginning stage of alpha... it is unchanged. You basically have to stand on top of the AI body to open the inventory, otherwise you get the rifle.
I proposed to link the rifle into the inventory (like in ArmA2), because how it works now is just annoying.
I think all of the items and weapons should just be put in one place, if possible.
You can check the inventory as well. The problem is that the game thinks you want to grab the weapon. Try moving slightly and access the inventory again.
But it's still a problem, sure.
It looks much better. But you have seen nothing until you open aperture more in the night time in some lit up village ;)
