Everyone can crawl fast, that just doesn't make any sence
to post above me ^
It's unneeded when bullets are as deadly as in arma
Only a "noob" would still run into enemy fire and not take cover.
Just shooting in the general direction of a player is enough to suppress them
Soldiers are trained to deal with suppressive fire
In the beginning of playing arma when i would take fire, i just run to the nearest cover and hope i wouldn't get shot, now I started to understand how to return fire in those situations.
Only games that have a high Time to Kill should have stuff like this.
Also here bullets make big puffs of smoke in the floor, and do disturb your sighting, so eye squinting is unneeded
Also if one of the mortars shoots of in your direction it might kill you lol
physics is fun :D
If i stand correct the scopes on arma 3 have this, but sometimes i don't know why my shots just completely fail
off topic
but i also have a hard time spotting where a round lands
I believe napalm and fire based weapons were banned due to them being far too susceptible to cause harm to civies.
Though I imagine being set on fire can be 1 of the most horrible ways to go
hum, find it interesting that the engine actually slows down the projectiles/ reduces the damage they cause
You do realise this is meant to give the devs feedback on ISSUES of the game, and not to praise or hate on the game.
Although the sounds, are better there are still issues with them, especially location through sound and the faulty simulation of sound moving through the world
Elevation should be taken into account, it's realistic, its different when shoot at something that's at the same hight as you are then to something that is lower or higher
Unless I completely misunderstood your post
I don't understand, form your explanation it is working as intended.
If you zero above the actual range you have to put the reticule under your target and when zeroing under the actual range you have to put the reticule over your target.
I'm actually quite confused with what you said, please, refrase :)
^you didn't understand
He is saying the exact opposite
When you are typing on the chat box your character at least for me still brings up the compass and watch, the map i haven't seen it happen, nor changing stances
I dont see this as a major priority, this is more of a gimmick

I do feel that some sort of dismemberment could be used, espcially for mines
Today i just spent 30 min placing mines and puting civies walking over them just to watch the ragdolls
So ill up vote for gore, bleeding, and like in arma 2 when hit in the arms you loose some of your accuracy
People would be surprised how "unlethal" small calibre weapons are 9mm and so on.
they just don't have enough power to actually kill on 2-3 shots.
That's why pistols now have such large magazines, more chances to actually put down someone
Also any torso shots with any ceramic plates in the way should just be neglected, bullets (9mm) wont just go through it.
And also kevlar helmets do stop pistol rounds , so unless you hit someone in their face they would just have a big headache
What you may have experienced was, shooting at someone who as closer to you than the zeroing of your weapon.
I can see this having lot's of practical uses, but i also can see the engine struggle with this
It's not impossible, not when something is less than 50 mts away, our brain can measure the time it takes for sound to reach 1 year and the other, allowing you to know where it comes from
Of course you are not gonna get pinpoint accuracy, however you can get some sort of general area, and when they are right next to you, wall or something you can differentiate that from above bellow left or right.
Right now you cant tell if it was to your left right above below
