Whether Holok is correct or not, which I really doubt; It has nothing to do with the issue of the game using your CPU for models and shit, and not utilizing the GPU, and there's no way to force it.

I'm not sure it has much to do with what the post above is saying, but this needs to be addressed or the game will always run like shit. The engine uses your CPU for objects rendering and it needs to use the GPU more for that. I'm no game designer/coder but I'm sure it can be fixed.
I have a hunch that it's using all of our available connections, I'm not really sure how to check that though.
I've also noticed that in TDM/DM servers(any servers without AI) my performance is great, although still slightly lower than SP. It's mainly in coop servers that performance is horrible(but playable)
My bad, I had previously not played in single player, just multiplayer. Yes, it is a huge difference in performance. Although wasteland servers definitely cause more of a performance issue than normal ones.

You do realise that this is an Alpha and only a minuscule amount of weapons are currently in the game right? The point of this is to find/fix performance issues and bugs. Itemization is probably the last priority.
Have you ever fired a rifle in real life? Down voted, this is not an issue.
This would be a great feature... But it would take a lot of work, the Arma engine has never been built for melee
I'm opposed to this as it would affect performance, I've noticed that the PIP in vehicle weapon sights severely affects performance. I know it could probably be optimized, it works fine in Red Orchestra. I'm ok with it as long as it is an OPTION that can be disabled.
I'm all for female characters, however this is not a game breaking feature. The priority shouldn't be "high"
