Thats right Minty, but Roadflares are also extremely rare to find. So it's really hard to find anything to light a fire.

Hm, just a few thoughts of mine. What about instead of putting this "guard-tower" back into an upright position, modifying some more of them lying on the ground, just like they were destroyed. Like the ruins of some houses which are allready scattered across the map. Because why should all of them remain in perfect condition after the outbreak of the apocalypse and nobody took care about them. In my opinion this could bring a little bit more realism to the game. Maybe the devs can discuss this internally if it's possible or not.
This issue has been repoorted several times the last months. This is a known bug.
Seemslike the "Cold-Bug" for me. So your Character stuck on 35°C temperature, without any indication in the inventory screen. I had this bug once too. I got it fixed sitting inbetween 4 campfires at one time for round about 45 minutes. Yes it's a long time to wait, but it fixed my problem.
Maybe you should try this, too.
Just sit next to a few campfires and wait, till the shaking is gone.

Yes it's a long time, but it worked for me. I had also no indicator in the inventory screen where your different status are shown. And the only message I received in the chat, while i was sitting at the fires was " I'm warming up" every minute.
Fishtraps and Snaretraps are both working properly. You just need to be patient and spent (eventually) a long time waiting to catch something. Chicken are not in the game (as far as I know). The only thing from chicken you can find are feathers, which are used in crafting improvised arrows in combination with sharpened sticks.
And also in Svetlojarsk. I think it is the hole bunch of monuments all over the map, where it's possible to crouch/roll/glitch inside.
Any news regarding this issue?
I's not only the waterproof backpack. I have experienced it with a normal Hunting Backpack, when I accidently started swimming in the lake in Turovo.

LOsing Backpacks and Weapons in the ocean/in lakes was a bug in the early times of the standalone. But as I remember, they've fixed it.
But maybe the bug returned with the new update.
I've reported the same bug here: http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=19484 just today, with captured it on video, but around 20 minutes earlier i was swimming in the ocean in the northeastern part of the map, without losing my backpack/weapon.
I'm not sure if it's the Rangefinder, that make you drop your backpack when you go swimming. It happened today to me in the Lake in Turovo. I had no Rangefinder in my backpack, only a Magnum-Revolver and a Deringer, which where forced to swap out of the backpack onto the ground of the lake.
Yep, I can confirm this too. Was wondering if it doesn't work anymore, so I went to search an Can of paint. Used it on the axe and the axe just changed the name, but not the skin or colour.
In my opinion this is just a minor issue. But should be fixed anyway.
Painting other weapons works properly, so I experienced it only with the firefighters axe.
