i would really like to know whats going on cause im really enjoying the game and this is wasting my time

tried on db folder directly with a train.xml files , same problem :

Just an update not sure why I didn't think of it. If I melee the door with an axe say, it eventually opens. So its an issue where the game isn't registering that the door is locked when it comes to lock pick, but you can bust it open.

Does no one at Bohemia care? i can sit here and get shot through a god damn crack from the outside but i can't shoot through it on the inside but if its some new fucking items no one asked for, yeah add it.

If dayz is to compete with SCUM they need a good skilling system

they could just remove the softskill-bar from the hud.
i cant remember it ever worked proper. the skills always get reset at some point.

Every time I have had a pistol jam and it will not let me unjam it so it seems like it every time mk2 pistol mlock and the other 9 mil variant has Jammed on me and produced the same issue and it has happened on high population and medium population on the same server ny 2178 it could be with the severe sever lag and such but made sure it wasn't lagging while trying to fix my gun I have tried for 15 minutes holding y and tapping y neither did anything

happens on all servers i play on(official and community), i have an xbox one s, and there are no particular areas or structures that make it more or less laggy.

I think this might also depend A LOT on how your server is setup. Vehicle performance in dayz is very very very server side. The hardware on those old consoles obviously doesn't help, but the biggest factor is the server performance. So if your private server has a lot of bases / stashed loot, a lot of zombies, or a lot of "boosted loot" spawning, or also any XML events....it will cause heavy strain on the server. I recommend you clean up the CLE, reduce the zombies, make sure the server is restarting every 3 hours or so and maybe even do a map wipe.

Next gen consoles reduces this significantly.

That's up to the server owner. They can do what they want. Unless you are the server owner and this is happening to you when you don't want it to.

I can confirm that this is a very common occurrence in our private server as well. It is so frequent, we anticipate it and slow down whenever we begin to enter a dense town or city. Once caught up, it seems fine until you leave the area. I believe it may have something to do with loading loot and sturctural details in the environment. It would be ideal to investigate this issue and find a way to optimize loading to reduce or eliminate the lag. Some ideas to consider would be to reduce the proximity of loot that is loaded around a player or delay loading until players leave the vehicle for loot located inside structures (like for items that can't be seen from the vehicle).

I am having the same issues, the game was fine in 1.12 and now 1.13 just eh
