Really needs to be fixed. I can´t even lift the pods which are made for the Taru without breaking the ATRQ.

DEVS? Y U LET US BUY CONTENT THAT DOESNT ECEN WORK?
It has been 5 months since this was reported. Almost 4 months since it was assigned.
This is a Key feature of Paid content. The TARU is a DLC heavy lift helicopter that cannot lift even light items without damaging the helicopter.
I have an issue with this bug having no priority and no apparent care from the Devs.
We paid for this feature and should be able to count on you to make it work in a reasonable amount of time. Or at least to give us some hint you are looking into it.
Please fix this bug immediately !
It's a very old bug and you dont do anything against this.
Please fix it in 1.42
Some information would be nice, because you can throw the Taru in the Trash if this does not get fixed...
Video: http://stuzer.link/s/sztRF
I seconded that.
Go in a taru, slingload a pod (fuel pod for the test) fly and there is a moment your Atrq will be severly damaged.
Or with zeus, direclty spawn a taru and a pod, put the pod under him for slingload without slingloading it, go in the taru put the engine on and almost always the ATRQ will break.
Tested in latest dev build and normal fly mode.

In facts seems that the hitpoint HitVRotor be the problem.
Another problem seems that it cant be damaged by firing on the rotor too...
never will happen ? ok unistalling now ... worst 30 € ever
news ?????????????
Hello,
Thank you for reporting the issue.
We need crash dump files from this folder to analyze your problem.
C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
Can you upload somewhere in winrar package, please?
Archive smaller than 5000 KB can be attached directly to the ticket. For bigger archives, please use some free sharing service and post link here.
How to find correct crashdump file:
Try to make the crash happen
Look into crashdump folder
Upload crashdump with latest date in name (crashdump is rpt + bidmp + mdmp file with same name). Please try to provide as many crashdumps as possible, it helps us investigating the problem in a big way.
Thank you.

Hello, i'm unable to reproduce the issue. Try disabling any mods and try again.
I can't believe I failed to test this in vanilla. The problem is caused by a mod I created and ported from Arma 2, must have leftover components for the Arma 2 UI. Please close, thanks.
Hello, does this happen on unmodded version of the game? Thanks!
I can confirm this, multiple messages in rpt file.
11:33:11 Warning Message: class 'bin\config.bin/RscDisplayInventory/controls/SlotPrimary/DLCTemplate/Controls/' is not defined
I have the same issue. I will try to explain:
- When I enter into the MP option (Multiplayer) in any server (allow mods) in the loading screen show that message, don´t finish the loading.
- In the server when I have some luck and it loads okay, I try to use the Arsenal / Virtual arsenal in order to load my gear then crash the game with the same message.
Please guys... fix this ASAP.
I also changed my video option into the lowest sepcs... and still have the same issue.

Thank you. Regards.
Crashdump file uploaded : Arma3_crashdump.rar
Happened after KOTH session after exiting the session. Happens quite often after long sessions.
Memory available: 8 GB
During the game around 3,5 GB was free.
Using maxmem parameter : 5120
Malloc on default.
Read Comment #0095386 above.
Also read my notes concerning reinstalling/repairing MS C++ x86 redistributable, as I recently installed MS Visual Studio/Commmunity. Seems the MS Visual Studio/Community version of the MS C++ x86 redistributable may be flawed or incompatible.
Unfortunately i have already tried that it seems as the 1.46 update completely killed my game i have spent about 40 hours just trying to get this game to work tried everything even boot nuking my hdd and ssd and reinstalling the whole operating system. It sucks as this was my favorite game.

Just tried that, sorry for my stupidity :P ahh but my game is still crashing.
What options are you performing and or unchecking in the launcher?
10Cwaites: I've unchecked those options after re-installing (ie. repairing) MS C++ x86 redistributable and haven't seen a crash for the past several hours. Although I've also upgraded from RC to 1.48.
This is now happening on version 1.48 as well. Crashes to desktop as soon as I join a server and load into the world. Running Windows 10 Build 10240 and NVidia driver version 353.30.
Complete info and logs can be found here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/91iktz9zoab9esg/a3_148_error.zip?dl=0
I am facing this problem too. Here I've attached my logs (2 sessions) along with my dxdiag file: https://db.tt/oVgVAmeJ
10Cwaites: Yes I made those exact changes within the launcher.
One thing I did do within the past month, is installed MS Visual Studio Community. The MS Visual Studio Community required uninstalling the MS C++ x86 redistributable, else the install would error. Uninstalling the MS C++ x86 redistributable allowed working around the install issue, and MS C++ x86 redistributable was reinstalled by MS Visual Studio Community. So it maybe this bug might be caused by this if you can verify you to have been playing around with similar packages or performing similar actions.
I have repaired the MS C++ x86 redistributable package. (ie. similar to reinstall as the package was already installed);
MS C++ x86 redistributable
vcredist_x86.exe
But so close to 1.48 release, this bug maybe solved already.
(I wish the launcher would do something useful, like the ability to switch between locally installed Stable, Developer, and RC versions instead of having to download each version each time. Benchmarking and bug testing is hell on DSL or anything less than Cable Internet speeds!)
You have made the changes in the post I made earlier? I'm glad it worked. I know I sure was growing frustrated!!
I have yet to experience this crash as well since I made those changes.
BIS Wizard: I merrily referenced a work around.
@rogerx,
so you experience a game crash even if Launcher shutdown itself before the game starts? Are startup parameters you have set in Launcher and those you're passing to directly to the executable same? Could you please upload your DxDiag report?
@rogerx,
you can't see this message without Launcher :). Because if Launcher detects a game crash then Launcher displays that message, that is all the magic to it. No Launcher = no one to display the message.
On community wiki is a short list of common exit codes: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Unusual_process_exit
Also TrackIR and Launcher should not interfere with each other in any way. I've found your ticket regarding the TrackIR issue and I'll look into it.
Referencing 10Cwaites's above comment; I can confirm omitting either configuration option, and the game will still crash. I've yet to see any crash using his above mentioned settings!
Yup... I haven't seen any of these crashing game bugs until using the GUI launcher. And when the GUI launcher was first instituted, I started also having TrackIR problems.
I prefer starting ARMA 3 using the executable.
Just experienced this bug and performed Comment #0094730 by 10Cwaites. Hopefully all my crashing will finally stop. If not, I'll report back or away for the next patch. Could also be something with minimizing the game and/or using TeamSpeak.
Ive been experiencing this error as well for some time now. It does seem sporadic.
With that being said: in the launcher settings I changed two things.
"Disable Launcher's UI hardware acceleration"
Action after game start: "Close launcher after clicking play"
I have yet (fingers crossed) to have this error since then.
No exists folder C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\, uploaded image of folders in appdata\local
No dxdiag
12/06/2015 seems repaired, but no noticed
Uploaded mine as well.
I'm convinced now that (on my system) this 0xc0000005 error is a side effect, and not the root of the problem. I only get 0xc0000005 when trying to restart the game after the first crash, which takes my video driver with it. The primary crash does not give an error code.
I've enabled logging so I can get some useful information to file a different report later today.
For anyone still having the problem, I fixed it following the steps outlined in this forum post. (Namely the part about changing the pagefile size in the registry from 1 to 0.)
Still waiting for update on this. Not a happy chappy at all. Please work it out or at least give us some info as to where we can start troubleshooting.
This has to be video driver related. It started on the last ArmA update. It takes the video driver with it and a reboot is required for me to re-launch the game. I'm talking about 0xc0000005. People with other crash codes should probably file new reports.
If the code you're getting is not the same then you will only be polluting the information for this bug by contributing here.
Nvidia GTX 970
Possible overlay problems? Teamspeak, Steam (of course), MSI afterburner w/ rivatuner
Other possible hooks: OBS + Shadowplay(disabled)
I am having the same problem :(
So, I found a solution to this problem. I typed -malloc=system and -nolauncher in Steam properties and it worked!
Nevermind. It started crashing after working once.
I haven't been able to play this game since I purchased it. Super annoyed.
I have the same problem. Uploaded my DX Diag
I also have these problems and uploaded the crash dump files.
My problems often starts right after starting ArmA 3. (If i click on any menue it crashes.) Sometimes it helps to click on the Url's at the right side. Then I can run it for about half an hour till the next crash.
Hello, we are currently investigating the issue. Could you please provide us your dxdiag so we can make sure its not drivers related? You can find how to get your dxdiag file here:

Unusual process exit
Arma 3 has quit in unusual manner. Info:
Exit code: 0x000000FF / 255
Reason: unknown
Time running: ~ 00:03:01.3 seconds
The game was started with following parameters:
---------------------------
OK
I was able to go online join a server and choose a slot, but as soon as the loading progress bar would start it would pause and arma would hang indefinitely. I would be forced to close arma through task manager.
Error code 0xCFFFFFFF /-805306369
Reason: Unknown
Time running: ~00:04:45.8 seconds
take off -ht (hyper trheathing) flag from start parameters and then try
I had this but it was caused by an external application (D3DGear in my case) so I un-installed it and haven't had it since :S
This can be replicated by entering a multiplayer game and then hitting "Esc" key to access menu. seems it triggers it.
Exit code: 0x000000FF / 255
Reason: unknown
Found i fix this Video will help with fps and help the game not crash when u join a server https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2yRBWPjRRI
Also having the same issue.
Every single time I get into a game.
Exit code: 0xC0000005 / -1073741819

Time running: ~ 00:01:55.4 seconds
I'm having a similar issue, my game isn't starting at all. And my error is 0x406D1388 / 1080890248
Time running 1.2 seconds.
Same versio I believe.
Same applies to the angled parts of the big tower roofs
Sorry for wasting your time.
After I tested -mod="C:\path\@mod1";"C:\path\@mod2"(works on ArmA 3 Launcher) I didn't look anymore to ArmA 3 wiki.
@Didotto from the page on BIKI you linked to https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Startup_Parameters#Spaces
Path >> Spaces
When your path contains spaces, you need to enclose it with quotes, like
"-profiles=c:\arma 3\profiles"
Hi Wizard,
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\arma3.exe" -mod="C:\Users\<User>\Desktop\MOD ARMA\@agm;C:\Users\<User>\Desktop\MOD ARMA\@cba_a3" works, thank you for your time.
Probably I've done a big mistake, i suggest you to add an example like this, in the ArmA 3 wiki https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Startup_Parameters (with multiple absolute mod path)
Hello,
try to change mod parameter quotes as following:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\arma3.exe" "-mod=C:\Users\<User>\Desktop\MOD ARMA\@agm;C:\Users\<User>\Desktop\MOD ARMA\@cba_a3"
(put the entire mod parameter into a single quotes pair)
Fixed: Gorgon APC can no longer drive on the seabed and floats instead
from today's dev changelog
Thanks for letting us know. The issue should be fixed in next dev branch update.
