I've noticed that my improvised bolts from pre-latest patch were loading in just fine. The ones that I've crafted in the latest patch, and used right away, always lose feathers. However, I've logged back in with the bolts I've crafted the day before in the latest patch and they were working correctly...

@Geez it's only hunting bolt that goes through certain doors. I think that's fine. The improvised ones always get stuck in the doors. I guess hunting ones have the higher penetration. My first initial testing happened to be on the set of same doors.. with hunting bolts. In some houses the hunting bolt goes through 2 doors . I guess that's more a "door" penetration value than anything else....

nvm, I guess it's only high end bolts.

Great idea, and I've been wondering the same for a long, long time. But I guess there's more important stuff to focus on at the moment...

Are you testing that on the live server or in offline mode ? because , in offline mode, they do not activate. On live servers they work, just tested it with a smoke nade. They worked both empty and when they had attached smoke nade to them.

I personally think super high caliber snipers should stay on modded, militarized servers. I don't like the idea of them in the standalone, aka more survival version. M79 is very rare and has several drawbacks ( self dmg and imprecision when it comes to ranging at bigger distances )

correct ! I've just tested it.
bolts disappear. When you throw them. You can't see them fly. The mesh just disappears from your hand.

yep, it's because the the crossbow doesn't have the "cocked" animation when on back. When you put it on your back it looks like you haven't pulled the string, even though the bolt is there. If you pull it out, it will play the sound as if you've shot the empty crossbow. Now your crossbow string is not pulled back and you still have the bolt inside of it... you can still shoot it like that though.
