Thanks for the response.
I really think that the developers of ACE3 will deal with that issue soon.
I will close the ticket.
Hello there,
I was not able to reproduce your issue. My character immediately stops after releasing the W key.
Do you play with modifications or have you experienced that behaviour with the vanilla (unmodified) version of ARMA3?
Best regards
Hello,
you're missing some files that are part of .NET Framework. Please try to re-install the latest .NET Framework: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49981 that should resolve your issue.
Solved by reinstalling .NET Framework: http://steamcommunity.com/app/107410/discussions/5/412447613560733498/?tscn=1455811440
check your key assignment for free view, in my config the printscreen key sneeked in??? dont know how...
Hello,
thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce this problem.
Are you running the game with any mods? If so, are you experiencing same issue when running the game without any mods?
Also could you please verify your game files via Steam?

Thank you
I'm getting this too.
I'm using ACE3, along with a bunch of other mods, though I am fairly certain that ACE3 is the problem.
Always happens right after I return to the 3D editor after a test.
Vanilla it wont freeze.
(just a side note, it seems like it is still registering that the camera is moving, as the coordinates will change, as well as the lines in the left corner).
Thanks,
this workaround helps
Hello,
thank you for your feedback and sorry for the trouble you are having with the game. We will look into this issue.
I was able to find a workaround that should help you until this issue is fixed.
- Open mission you want to import in the 2D Editor
- Place in or select a unit that will be PLAYER
- Save mission and go to 3D Editor
- Import the mission
Agreed - looking at the positive side. Just potentially an issue for someone who isn't aware they fired up more than one copy and then blame A3 for poor performance.
It's not a bug, it's a feature.
Hello,
for me this is great for fast testing changes and issues with different branches (development, release candidate, legacy and stable). But that possibility is at least only one positive point.
Hello,
this state is actually intentional as we do not want to limit players and drag them through the whole tutorial.
Hello,
new Stable version of the game is currently available so please update the game, verify the integrity of the cache once update and try to check whether the crash still occurs.
Thank you
Hello,
thank you for your feedback, could you please send us a video this issue? It will be much appreciated.
Thank you
Hello,
are you still experiencing this issue? I had no luck trying to reproduce it.
Thanks
I was not able to reproduce that issue with the latest development branch and release candidate.
But at one point I was able to notice these shadowed squares in the game long time ago (>1,5 years).
I had that happen once, long ago though. Seems like it just happens at random, though I haven't encountered it in years at this point. I might've been mucking around with settings too much and crashed the display driver which then caused that to happen (just once though). Are you on latest drivers? what video card is it?
I got AMD Radeon R9 200 series, drivers up to date.

So it's a weird design, imao.
A logical way is to have to order "regroup" after mission start, not "stop".
For example, place cars in your group, "none" as special, let the mission start.
Cars are moving as they can before you join.
If "none" units could stay where they are in editor, you could manage better orders.
That's by design.
Special none does not change group formation, it simply makes units not spawn in the formation on mission start. You'll have to command them to stop.
Hello,
we're sorry for the inconvenience. This issue is caused by the Windows update KB3078601 and there is nothing we can do to prevent the issue at this time. You can either uninstall the update or wait for Microsoft to release a fixed version of the update.
for speedmode the integers 0, 1, 2 seems to work
seems resolved now for "combatMode" and "behaviour"
Sorry this was a corrupt game file - reacquired and fixed. Delete ticket please.
Hello,
we are sorry you are experiencing issues with our game.
Are you running any mods? If so please try to disable them. Should the problem occur again, please export your game log files from the launcher (again, without any mod).
The mdmp + rpt + bidmp files should be located in this directory:
C:\<username>\AppData\Local\Arma 3
Attach the generated files to the ticket. If the files are too big please use some free file sharing service.
Thank you
Yes, the ticket may close as we have ascertained the cause.
Only seems to happen when you port old mission files to the new eden editor.
Ported my old mission using RHS Escalation to the eden editor, had the same issue. Made a new mission, placed down the same unit (Squad Leader, US Army) and then it worked just fine.

If the game still shows a modification issue (even if you have disabled all modifications) it seems that the system is trying to load some modificated content that is saved in the preset but not available anymore (some modificated uniform, weapon sight, item, backpack, weapon etc).
May I close the ticket?
Hello,
according to your attached picture you are using modifications (small symbol next to Asst.Autrifleman, Autorifleman, Engineer, Explosive Specialist, Pilot).
I was not able to repdroduce that issue in the RC branch with the vanilla content (I followed your reproduction steps).
Please disable all modifications and try to repdroduce that issue again.
Best regards
Ah, indeed when running without mods I could not reproduce this either, so there is no further complaint on my part. Still, it shows a mod issue which would be of note.
Hello,
thank you for your feedback and sorry for the inconvenience.
The provided rpt files unfortunately point to a Steam-side issue. There is not much we can do about this, however if there indeed is an issue on the Steam side, it will surely be resolved quickly.
Please let us know should the problem still persist for more than a few days.
Thank you
Hopefully this can be fixed in time for the update. It honestly pretty much ruins the huron.
