You must be missing mate, it takes 1 shot with a fireaxe and 2 with a splitting axe to kill a zombie.
1 Shot from any gun to kill a zombie.
If anything, their health should be tripled.
You should be I.P banned from the bug tracker for even posting this.
Can confirm, this is a huge problem, my group only gets to loot probably half of the players we kill up north because the other half close the game after they die and their bodies disappear with them.
Incredibly severe issue, hope this is fixed soon.
I find this happens more often if you are running super fast on flat terrain, so it seems the further you get inbetween these "warp" spikes the more likely you are to be warped.
I have noticed this too, as others have said, if this is a feature it is a very bad one that should be changed, at least to the point where only ruined/badly damaged keys have a chance of breaking and pristine ones last indefinitely.
Please lock gamma and brightness server side like the mod, you can say people will change it through their GPU settings all you want but the fact of the matter is that 99.9% of people won't be bothered to do that and the game will be a thousand times better after this change.
I would love to play in proper night time but I will continue to crank my gamma until a fix is implemented because I don't want to die to all the other players who do crank gamma.
This is one of the most annoying things about Arma2/DayZ mod/DayZ SA, please fix it, it's ridiculous.
Just remove all ocean sound altogether until new ones are made up, it gives me and my friends a headache.

NikoGT has found the cause, that is it.
I struggle to understand why Matt Lightfoot would need more information on this issue, all you need to do is have attachments on your weapon and pan around your character in third person with alt-view, it happens 100% of the time no matter what.
