That's exactly the logic i want to use. I certainly don't want a navy EOD performing CAS while my pilot tries to disarm an IED. I might just be in a bad mood though because my sniper just got run over while trying to work out how the AT works and my AT guy missed the damn VIP by a mile with the javelin. If you want a job doing, use the guy who's been trained to do it.
That can be done by scripting and is already on servers. It's entity up to the mission editor.
There are too many flaws in this idea to work, even as a concept. For a start wingsuits are limited by physics to minimal weight capacities and their glide ratio limits them to a few miles typically (record of 18 miles I think). Current stealth techniques include HALO and HAHO for long range insert where planes cannot go near. A typical HAHO jump can cross 40 miles while carrying an additional 50kg of mission-essential equipment.
If you seriously want an addon for long-range stealth insert in the future, look towards wing packs, as they have the potential to do more than HAHO, but currently lack the ability to do so. Once in country, operators need to be able to hide their sign and leave with everything they brought in including parachutes and rigging. A major hurdle in the development of the wing pack is how it can be made mobile on the ground to allow this (as you would have a parachute as well).
Down voted due to lack of realistic military application now or in the future
Sorry Harold, but nothing you've described here is a bug; as you yourself freely admit. The purpose of this feedback tracker is for bug and glitch reporting and feature request for content extremely pertinent to enhance simulation. I suggest you look at Bohemia's forums to discuss the merits of your point; my two cents are that weapon accuracy gets better the lower your centre of gravity as you're more stable and better able to absorb recoil, obviously weapon mounting plays a huge part in this also.
This is a simulator, not a FPS and actions available aim to be realistic. If people truly are struggling with the key bindings, they may want to stick to a more basic style of play (prone, crouch, stand) but they would need to accept the limitation that comes with it.
This should be on a forum and the ticket closed
Sarlac, runway designations have been changed. I think it happened in the first patch ?0.52
Zychon, that had been my initial response, but i think i must have miss clicked. there's no way to edit the ticket from my end now
fixed. as if by magic, your comment made an edit button right alongside the monitor button. i call hax ;) cheers for the help
The runway headings have been corrected in the patch, they now read 02-20. Loving the Dev's attention to detail and proving the tracker's role

i broke it? no wonder i'm finding all these problems...
just in case anyone is thinking what I would: my graphics are normal, gamma, brightness, contrast etc are all det to default/ normal and not the cause of the issue
On the loading screen itself there is a notice regarding the quality of the game at present; it is a work-in-progress with many things to polish and improve and the current state does not represent the final product.
This alpha, like most, is a staggered release. While initially there is a limited functionality and contents, both will increase with time as current issued are resolved and progress made.
JNC, I saw your earlier post regarding blood in the water from GSWs and I think you need to appreciate both where this game is in it's development and what you're feeding back. Things will get better, but only with time, patience and constructive criticism
I'd just like to clarify it's the ladder at the lighthouse and not the ladder towards the end of the pier that goes into the water
