I don't use AtoC or AA at all and get the same; but only when looking at those specific trees. Usually my FPS drops 10+ frames into the mid-20's.
I think it seems worse in prone because your view is more stable and can focus on the tree instead of swaying around, so I don't think they're directly related.
Arma 2 had a similar problem with certain trees...they just require more resources to render. Hopefully they can optimize it
I get the same; I thought they were just "place holders" or unfinished until the beta/final release.
Using GTX 560 Ti
Any specifics besides "some missions"?? Are they "official" missions, user-made missions, etc.?
If they're user-made (3rd party) missions then it's up to the mission maker to update them, not BIS.
Doesn't really help anyone when you use such vague descriptions, voting down
Also no way to repro the issue; no missions attached or links to the problem or anything

@OP: stop spamming the tracker with pointless crap!
For MP/online, FPS is mainly determined by the server hardware; use a better system to host the game
I completely agree, I can't use any deadzone now because it's near impossible to track targets when looking down the sights/scopes.
Having an aiming deadzone is one of OFP/Arma's key features IMO, it needs to be fixed!
Please use the BI forums for thanking, and stop spamming the tracker that was put in place to follow actual issues in the game.
You're just cluttering up the actual issues
Here's a quick tutorial as I had trouble with the controls too:
- Load up the editor
- Place a single playable soldier anywhere on the map
- Spend actual time and effort to remap/learn all the keys.
Amazing!
@Pitchblack: I'm voting down because people need to learn to use the tracker properly.
This is neither urgent or a major priority...learn to use the tracker correctly and more people might actually agree/upvote.
Oh, and the x-hair isn't like CoD because 99% of the battles in CoD are within 50-75m; while most in Arma are well beyond that. Try to hit something over 100m just using the x-hair and see how well you do
please stop cluttering the tracker with pointless "issues"!
What a piss-poor report! Learn to use the tracker properly; or better yet, up-vote one of the other 20 "crappy performance" threads so it's easier for the devs to track.
If you're not serious with your reports, I'm sure the devs could give two shits about your problem(s)
