This is becoming my standard comment, but has this not been implemented yet? Is there a mod for it?
That link Warlock posted above to the 'Arma 3 : Keys' mod looks great. Until seeing Dslyecxi's vid and that mod, I didn't know doors (or who knows what else) could be partially opened. The engine is capable of more than they show in the game. Why not use it's full capabilities?
Ladders? What? Seriously, not only the hardest thing to get onto, but why make the game look fantastically great, as they have, and still have that incredibly terrible animation? The guy is humping the ladder to go up? Where most other games (with ladders) have it seamlessly integrated?
This happens to me as well :( no mods, steam version (if that matters?).
<--using my PS3 controller, via motioninjoy, so Im sure I'll be needing this too.
Cheers.

Totally enjoying boating over to the existing smaller rocks now. It'd be great being able to fly or sail over to Altis from Stratis...please add this.
Well, if it's too much work to make it have physical properties, etc, they could just make a better animation. Right now, if the tower is destroyed, yeah it lowers into the ground and then blammo, the destroyed bottom is there. Instead, maybe they could have an animation from unharmed to destroyed. To me, it'd seem easier just to let the PhysX handle it.
This also occurs when you have the grenade launcher up and then you change the range of the weapon. It instantly changes your stance, and position of the grenade launchers aiming optic. It should be more gradual for that too.
In fact, you should have to reach out with your left hand to 'tweak' the optic, then reposition into the aiming position.
This would be awesome.
I've just spent the last short while mapping my PS3 controller, and tweaking sensitivities etc. It would be great being able to save this setup. I also use an X-45 stick so maybe I could save a setup for it specifically too? But also, Im expecting to get a new computer. Instead of having to redo those setups (even choosing character, voice, sunglasses etc.) it'd be great being able to save it to a file and have it reusable. Or, if it's possible now just to use some existing folder in the game to do that, maybe just let us know the procedure?
Thanks in advance!

I seem to recall that BIS likes the GTA series. Well, in GTA5 they have the best anims for walking over small objects, climbing up onto any surface low enough to be climbed upon, and climbing fences and ladders. And the example video for this has that all, except ladders (but I saw another yt showing smooth ladders) so...get it done! please?
This would definately be a good option. But, you dont necessarily need an indicator that looks like a body. You could merely have a line. When vertical, you're upright...when at an angle, you're crouched..when horizontal, you're prone...etc. And being a line, instead of a body, it would be less of a distraction...if that makes sense.
