I can confirm that this glitch also occurs for me.

You need to watch the plant.
If the plant becomes ready then you don't immediately harvest it the food becomes moldy.

I can confirm and after eating half a tent full of bell pepper and tomatoes I ended up stuffed but seemed to gain no energy?

I placed a tent completely surrounded by trees on a low pop server, Checked back later and the tent was gone. Possible it was stolen since I didn't watch it, Next time I watch it like my life depends on it.

Is it possible that my character died underground when I logged out inside of the truck?

Really hoping this isn't the case since this was my helicopter hunting character

You should set this as private so you are actually informing the developers and not advertising where to get hacks.

I've found several helicopters with full loot clips, m65 jacket, guns etc on non persistent severs so non persistent definitely spawns loot.

It was still in my inventory when I logged back in so I dropped it, This shows it wasn't just visual.

Also there was a bit of desync while all this was going on so perhaps that contributed.

Server had just restarted too and server isn't persistent so you don't need to worry about someone finding an entire duplicate backpack.

This issue can be closed.
I would close it myself but it says access denied.

I had the handguard rail but logging on after the patch deleted all the attachments on the AKM then I forgot that I no longer had the rail.

When I had this happen I was on yellow thirsty and no message on hungry, The Server went down and when I logged back in I was suddenly starving to death and dying of thirst.

Try going into the steam folder
Steam\SteamApps\common\DayZ\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\DXSETUP.exe

Hopefully when you run DXSETUP.exe it fixes it

You said you already installed the visual c++ but perhaps because dayz is based upon arma 2 installing the newest one is skipping older required files.

There is a folder called vcredist within Steam\SteamApps\common\DayZ\_CommonRedist
Perhaps if you reinstall the right one of these for your version of windows it will fix your problem?

Perhaps it has to do with the new battle eye update, Do you have antivirus software?

If you do I suggest that you do a full scan of your computer then temporarily disable the antivirus and give dayz another try.

Is your character on healthy status?
Do you run with nothing in your hands?
Have you tried using morphine or a splint just in case a limb is damaged?

I thought this was done on purpose so it's like a realistic heavy truck?

Tried it and found the same thing, Does not quench thirst

As of 0.53 I still can't skin animals on persistent servers, I haven't tried non persistent yet.

If you can edit category you should change it from general to feature request so this doesn't get overlooked.
